An Experimental Study on the Reducing Method of Spurious Emission at the Spark Plug Cable (스파크 플러그 케이블에서 복사되는 불요 전자파 감소 방안에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • This paper, we analyzed that the measured data of the radiated power spectrum of electromagnetic waves of the normal spark ignition system and the spark ignition system with feed through type ceramic condenser. The results show that the strength of power spectrum radiated from the system with feed through type ceramic condenser is weaker than the normal system, and the density of power spectrum radiated from the system with feed through type ceramic condenser is smaller than the normal system. From these results, the feed through type ceramic condenser can reduce the electromagnetic waves radiating from the spark ignition system which is the spurious emission, and it can be concluded that the ignition coil of the spark ignition system generating high voltage pulse is equivalent to the radio frequency oscillator which is oscillating high frequency from a electronic point of view.

Analysis on the Power Spectrum of Electromagnetic Waves Radiating from the Distributorless Spark Ignition System (무배전기식 불꽃 점화 시스템에서 복사되는 전자파의 전력 스펙트럼 분석)

  • This paper presents theoretical and experimental analysis on the characteristics of the power spectrum of electormagnetic waves radiating from the spark plug and their cables of a distributorless ignition system. The theoretical study was conducted applying the microwave transmission line theory and the antenna theory. The experimental works were carried out to measure the standing wave ratio(SWR) and the radiation power spectrum of this system. As a result, it has been found that a spark plug and its cable is working as a monopole antenna radiating elelctromagnetic waves. Because of its similar structure to a monopole antenna, the envelope of radiation power spectrum distribution has a bell shape which can be obtained from a monopole antenna operating as a series resonant circuit. The frequency characteristics from the SWR measurements show a similar frequency characteristics of power spectrum of the system studied. Also, it has been found that the density of the power spectrum of the system fitting a long time used spark plug is higher than that of fitting a new spark plug.

연속 방출광 스펙트럼을 이용한 대기압 플라즈마의 전자온도 및 전자밀도 측정

  • 기존의 저압 플라즈마에 비해 여러 장점을 가지는 중간압력 플라즈마 및 대기압 플라즈마는 수년전부터 많은 관심을 받고 있으며 다양한 응용분야에서 활발히 이용되고 있다. 기초과학으로서의 플라즈마 측면뿐만 아니라 플라즈마 응용의 결과들은 플라즈마의 특성에 따라 좌우되므로 플라즈마 진단 역시 최근 플라즈마 연구에 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 일반적으로 플라즈마 내의 모든 화학적 반응 및 물리적 반응에 있어 전자가 결정적인 역할을 하기 때문에 플라즈마 내의 전자의 정보를 대표하는 지표인 전자온도($n_e$) 및 전자밀도($T_e$)의 측정이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 대기압 플라즈마에서 중성원자와 전자의 상호작용에 의한 연속 방출광을 자외선-가시광 영역에서 측정하고, 이를 기반으로 $n_e$$T_e$를 측정하였다. 높은 압력에서 불완전 전리된 플라즈마는 이온화율이 낮고 중성원자의 밀도가 이온밀도보다 훨씬 높기 때문에 중성 제동복사(Neutral bremsstrahlung)의 방사도를 이용한 ne 및 Te의 측정이 가능하다. 특히 아르곤 대기압 플라즈마에서 측정된 연속 방출광 스펙트럼의 자외선 영역(280~450 nm)에서는 중성 제동복사에 의한 연속 방출광뿐만 아니라 수소분자에 의한 dissociative 연속 방출광이 함께 존재하는 것이 확인되어 최종적으로 두 연속 방출광을 고려하여 정확한 ne 및 Te를 측정할 수 있었다. 대기압 아르곤 축전결합방전에서 입력전력에 따라 전자온도는 2.5 eV로 유지되었으며, 전자밀도는 $(0.7-1.1){\times}10^{12}cm^{-3}$ 범위에서 $j_d{\propto}n_e{\propto}P_{rf}$ 관계를 따르며 변화하는 것이 관찰되었다.

  • It is an analysis about electromagnetic wave which is generated from a Spark plug cable of Distributorless spark ignition system. In case of Distributorless spark ignition system, high frequency generation is an ignition coil and Spark plug cable and Spark plug could be activated with electromagnetic wave radiation antenna. I calculated a resonant frequency with HFSS by measuring length of Spark plug cable and Spark plug. The antenna was considered as ${\lambda}/4$ monopole antenna in this calculation. According to power spectrum measurement analysis of engine room radiated electromagnetic wave and calculated Resonant frequency, it is possible to find out that the Distributorless spark ignition system radiates high frequency energy in certain frequency band.

  • This paper, we analyzed that the measured data of the radiated power spectrum of electromagnetic waves and the standing wave ratio(SWR) of the spark plug cable and spark plug. The measured data are the power strength of the electromagnetic waves radiated from the spark ignition system, the measured frequency ranges are 110 to 610MHz. The results show that the strength of radiated power spectrum and bandwidth have relation to the SWR of the the spark plug cable and spark plug, and the SWR of them is different because of the characteristics of resistor at the spark plug is different with the manufacturers. From the analyzed results, it can be concluded that the less SWR is little, the less maximum level of power spectrum is weak and bandwidth above the reference level is small.

  • A combination of MHL and LED fish-luring light is used in this study. Its yield, characteristics, and irradiance distribution are evaluated and analyzed. To obtain an irradiance distribution similar to that of an MHL, we suggest the optimal arrangement of MHL and LED.
