  • 정보통신의 비약적인 발전에 힘입어 멀티미디어 데이터는 언제 어디서든 전송 받거나 공유할 수 있게 되었다. 아날로그 형태에서 디지털의 아날로그를 형태로 빠르게 대체되고 있으며, 디지털로 신호를 표현하는 방법은 기존 사용하여 표현하는 방법에 비해 많은 장점을 가지고 있다. 하지만 디지털로 된 데이터는 언제 어디서든 대단위 복제가 가능하다. 즉, 저작권 침해, 불법 복제 및 배포, 손쉽게 위조할 수 있다는 점이 그것이다. 디지털 컨텐츠의 불법 복제와 유통은 저작자의 창작 의욕과 수입원을 차단하는 매우 중요한 문제이며, 이를 방지하기 위해서 멀티미디어 데이터의 저작권을 가진 소유자가 원하는 정보를 삽입함으로써 데이터의 저작권 보호와 복사 방지 및 불법적인 유통을 막고자 하는 기술이 개발되고 있다. 디지털 영상 정보의 보호를 위해 디지털 영상의 불법적인 내용 조작을 막고, 영상의 소유권을 보장할 수 있는 방법으로 디지털 워터마크(Digital Watermark)가 있다. 디지털 워터마크는 공개키 알고리즘이나 방화벽 등으로 해독된 영상에 대하여 부가적인 보호를 제공한다. 디지털 영상에 대한 저작권 정보, 배포자 정보 그리고 사용자 정보를 영상에 삽입함으로써 훗날 법적인 문제가 발생하였을 때 해결책을 제시할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 영상 데이터의 정보 보호를 위해 주파수 영역에서의 웨이브릿 변환(Wavelet Transform)을 이용한 이미지 적응 디지털 워터마킹(Image-Adaptive Digital Watermarking) 방법을 제안한다. 이미지 적응 웨이브릿(Image-Adaptive Wavelet)은 영상을 주파수적으로 분해하면서 각 대역들의 공간 영역에서의 정보를 함께 지니고 JND(Just noticeable difference)을 포함한다. 이미지 적응 웨이브릿의 이러한 특성을 이용하여 다해상도 분해하고, 손실 압축(toss Compression) 이나 필터링(Filtering), 잡음(Noise) 등에 크게 영향받는 저주파 성분과 인간의 시각적으로 큰 의미를 갖는 고주파 성분의 특성을 이용하여 워터마크를 삽입한다.

Quantifying of Photon Flux Emitting from Light-emitting Diodes Using a Quantum Sensor and Spectroradiometer (광량자센서와 분광광도계를 이용한 발광다이오우드 광량자속의 정량화)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the opto-electric characteristics of light-emitting diodes(LED) designed for growth and morphogenesis control of transplant and to quantify the photon flux emittig from LED using a quantum sensor spectroradiometer. Difference in photon flux for blue and red LED between measured by a quantum sensor and measured by a spectroradiometer and numerically integrated was not observed. This result implies a spectroradiometer can be applied to quantify the photon flux emitting from far-red LED, which can not be measured using a quantum sensor. Since photon flux increases in proportion to wavelength, photon flux of LED modules arranged for red and far-red increased in proportion to wavelength, photon flux of LED modules arranged for red and rar-red increased gradually as the number of LED stick emitting far-red in LEd modules increased. Illumination of LED modules arranged for red and far-red decreased as the number of LED stick emitting far-red in LED modules increased. There was no difference in irradiance between LED modules arranged for red and far-red.

Effects of Rubber Chips from Used Tires on Spots Turf Ground as Soil Conditioner (Rubber chip의 경기장 지반 물리성 개선과 잔디 생육에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was conducted to investigated the effects of rubber chips from used tires on sports turf ground as soil conditioner to improve soil physical properties. The release of heavy metal ions was detected to check the soil contamination by incorporation of recycled rubber chips with topsoil. The effects of the chips were also evaluated as topdressing material to improve surface resilience. The rate of rubber chips showed a positive relationship with soil temperature increasement. Incorporation of rubber chips increased soil temperature on surface at 2.5 cm-depth. The rates of rubber chip showed a negative relationship with ground cover rate of turfgrass in early growth season. However, after 20 weeks, treatment of 10% rubber chips at 2.5 cm-depth showed a prominent cover rate of 70% which was not significantly different with untreated control. Incorporation of rubber chips within topsoil seemed to reduce soil compaction, but the effects was not prominent on physical properties. Rubber chips did not affect chemical properties and heavy metal contamination to soil environment. Rubber chips improved resilience of the compacted ground surface as topdressing material, this effect was prominent when aerification practise was preceded.

  • The exponential increase of digital contents brought about the e-Challenge crisis to the librarians. How can all the e-resources be managed effectively? How can we detect all the broken links? How can we assist the users to the right resources? This paper concentrates on building CLICK(Cooperative Link Center in KOREA) as a knowledge compass by collecting diverse science & technology information and creating tight coupled links between information resources for reference linking and providing users with the optimal route for the resource per user. If the publishers, Abstract & Index DB, Searching Portal, Electronic Libraries, Full-text DB and Aggregator can be linked by using a standardized way through a CLICK, the service channels can be diversified. Users can select the channels without rein under according to a use purpose and conditions.

  • The problem of electromagnetic coupling through a narrow slit in a parallel-plate waveguide(PPW) covered by a dielectric slab with a conducting strip on the slab is considered for the case that the TEM wave is incident in the PPW. Coupled integral equations for the tangential electric field in the slit and the induced current over the strip are derived and solved numerically by use of the method of moments. In order to show the effect of the conducting strip on the coupling, some numerical results for the reflected and transmitted powers in the guide, the coupled power through the slit, the equivalent slit admittance, and radiation pattern are presented. From the results, it is observed that the maximum available power coupled through the slit exterior to the PPW amounts upto 50% of the incident power in the PPW.

  • The design and manufacfure technology of the large aperture cassegrain antenna was first studied in the country, and its performances in a trial manufactured product are measured and compared. In order to design this cassegrain antenna with reference to several literatures, the schemed order was decided. Especially, for the cassegrain antenna of 4.6m diameter which is becoming the television receiving antenna directly from satellite, in advanced countries, the 1/12 sized small section of its parabolic curved surface is made primarily with the precision of less difference than 1/16λ depth. Cares are taken also on the computer program so that the size and position of primary radiator may satisfy the minimum blocking with the given sub-reflector. The preformances of the designed antenna are shown as being 43dB in gain, 1.15 or less in VSWR, 1.1$^{\circ}$ of beam angle etc., and found to be not worse than those of foreign productions with similar type and size.

  • In this paper, Strip Halo Antenna used for the proximity sensor in 800 MHz band was fabricated by using a dielectric board with the relative dielectric constant of 6.15. Dimensions of the strip halo antenna were optimized by the theoretical simulation and many experiments. The impedance of the strip halo antenna mounted on the proximity sensor with the finite circular groud plane was measured as 16.5 + j1.1[$\Omega$]. The matching characteristic of the strip halo antenna was greatly improved by attaching the matching section designed through experiments to the rear side of dielectric board. The impedance of the strip halo antenna with the matching section was measured as 43.79-j0.04[$\Omega$], and the 3 dB beam width of its radiation pattern was measured about $90^{\circ}$.

  • A simplified design procedure for quasi-Yagi antenna arrays using an ultra-wideband balun is presented. The proposed antenna design procedure is based on the simple impedance matching among antenna components: i.e., balun, feed, and antenna This new broadband and high gain antenna array is possible due to the ultra-wideband performance of the balun. As design examples, wideband $1\times4$ and $1\times8$ quasi-Yagi antenna arrays are successfully designed and implemented in Ku-band with frequency bandwidths of about 50 % and antenna gains of 9$\sim$10 dBi and 11$\sim$12 dBi, respectively. And the simulated and measured results demonstrate wide bandwidths and good radiation properties. These antenna arrays can be applied to various phased-array and spatial power combining systems.

  • MIRIS 우주관측카메라는 과학기술위성 3호의 주탑재체로서 $0.8{\sim}2.0{\mu}m$의 근적외선영역에서 우주배경복사와 우리은하 평면의 Pa-$\alpha$ survey 관측을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 임무를 수행하기 위해 MIRIS 우주관측카메라에는 MCT(HgCdTe) IR 검출기가 사용되고 6개의 필터를 장착할 수 있는 필터휠이 설계되었으며, 열잡음을 줄이고 원하는 SNR을 얻기 위해 모두 100K 이하로 냉각이 요구된다. 효과적인 냉각 및 저온유지를 위해서 외부의 열을 1차적으로 차단하는 Cryostat 외부용기와 100K 이하로 냉각되는 내부 Cold Box의 이중구조를 가지는 Dewar가 설계 되었다. 내부 Cold Box의 냉각은 소형 stirling cooler로 이루어지고 외부의 열 유입량이 Cooler의 냉각용량을 넘지 않도록 설계하였다. Cryostat 외부용기는 radiation cooling으로 냉각되어 200K 이하의 온도를 유지하며 내부 Cold Box로의 열유입을 최소화하기 위해 GFRP(Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) 단열 지지대와 MLI(Multi Layer Insulation)가 사용된다. 또한 100K으로 냉각시 필터고정부와 Cold Box 구조에서 일어날 수 있는 구조적인 피로도를 줄이고 열변형에 의한 문제를 방지하기 위한 고려가 설계에 포함되었다. FM(Flight Model)은 고진공 환경의 우주공간에서 문제가 발생하지 않도록 설계되었다. 또한 EQM 진동시험결과를 토대로 발사환경에서 발생하는 강한 진동을 견딜 수 있도록 FEM(Finite Elements Method) 구조해석을 통하여 필터고정부에 flexible structure 설계와 완충제를 추가하고 필터휠 구동부와 harness 고정부 및 cooler 지지부를 비롯한 전체 구조물에서 충분히 진동을 극복할 수 있도록 설계하였다.

A Study of Center Longitudinal Shunt-Series Coupling Slot Fed by Asymmetric Compound Iris for Waveguide Slot Coupler (도파관 슬롯 커플러용 비대칭 복합 아이리스에 의해 급전되는 중심 종방향 션트-시리즈 결합 슬롯에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposes a new coupling element of microwave slot coupler for designing waveguide slot array which can reduce the effect of undesired higher order mode coupling between coupling and radiating slots in the branch waveguide. The proposed device is composed of a centered longitudinal shunt-series coupling slot at the center of broad wall shared by two crossed rectangular waveguides and an asymmetric compound iris that excites the coupling slot. We first have obtained scattering parameters for the proposed coupler by use of EM S/W tool HFSS and then extracted the parameters of T- network equivalent circuit for the coupling slot. We also have analyzed the resonant properties such as resonant length and normalized admittance by changing the geometrical dimensions. The measured results for the fabricated coupler with short-circuited block ${\lambda}_g/4$ away from the coupling slot are well agreed with the simulated ones.
