A Study on the Construction of Transfer Pedestrian Concierge Service Based on Context-Awareness (상황인식기반 환승보행 유도안내서비스 구현에 관한 연구)

  • The Context-Awareness technology which can provide the appropriate information to the human after estimating a lot of information exceeds the time and space in the ubiquitous environment is being developed now. GIS (Geographic Information System) and LBS (Location Based Services) based context awareness is one of these kinds of technology. The context awareness based transfer guide service which can provide useful information, according to the different information which was got from different sensors which were set in different places, to the pedestrian who is using the transfer center will be introduced in this paper. About the result of the service prototype which was tested in test-bed, the context awareness information such as the inside location and density calculation's accuracy is 90%, and the response time of the service is in 10 seconds, and also, the reliability will be higher if more advanced based infra will be used, so it is consider that it can be used to provide service enough.

  • The latest hardware and software techniques are combined to give safe walking guidance and convenient service of realtime walking assistance system for visually impaired person. This system consists of obstacle detection and perception, place recognition, and sign recognition for pedestrian can safely walking to arrive at their destination. In this paper, we exploit the sign object detection system in subway station for sign recognition that one of the important factors of walking assistance system. This paper suggest the adaptive feature map that can be robustly extract the sign object region from complexed environment with light and noise. And recognize a sign using fast zernike moment features which is invariant under translation, rotation and scale of object during walking. We considered three types of signs as arrow, restroom, and exit number and perform the training and recognizing steps through adaboost classifier. The experimental results prove that our method can be suitable and stable for real-time system through yields on the average 87.16% stable detection rate and 20 frame/sec of operation time for three types of signs in 5000 images of sign database.

Pedestrian Dead Reckoning based Position Estimation Scheme considering Pedestrian's Various Movement Type under Combat Environments (전장환경 하에서 보행자의 다양한 이동유형을 고려한 관성항법 기반의 위치인식 기법)

  • In general, Personal Navigation Systems (PNSs) can be defined systems to acquire pedestrian positional information. GPS is an example of PNS. However, GPS can only be used where the GPS signal can be received. Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) can estimate the positional information of pedestrians using Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). Therefore, PDR can be used for GPS-disabled areas. This paper proposes a PDR scheme considering various movement types over GPS-disabled areas as combat environments. We propose a movement distance estimation scheme and movement direction estimation scheme as pedestrian's various movement types such as walking, running and crawling using IMU. Also, we propose a fusion algorithm between GPS and PDR to mitigate the lack of accuracy of positional information at the entrance to the building. The proposed algorithm has been tested in a real test bed. In the experimental results, the proposed algorithms exhibited an average position error distance of 5.64m and position error rate in goal point of 3.41% as a pedestrian traveled 0.6km.

  • 전세계적으로 친환경, 에너지 절약과 맞물려 LED조명에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 특히 우리나라는 삼면이 바다와 인접해 해안 항만 환경에 대한 관심이 높고, 해안산책로, 공원 등이 늘어나면서 LED 보안등에 대한 수요가 늘고 있는 추세이다. LED보안등의 수요가 늘어나면서 보안등의 주목적인 범죄예방에 대비하면서 에너지를 절감할 수 있는 시스템에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 최근의 조명제어 시스템은 단순히 보행자 유무만을 인식하여 조명의 밝기를 제어하는 시스템이 대다수이며, 비, 바람, 안개, 해무 등의 실시간 변화가 잦은 해안환경에 대한 고려는 부족하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 보행자 유무와 비, 안개, 해무 등의 환경적 정보를 융합하여 보안등의 밝기를 통합 제어할 수 있는 스마트 제어 시스템을 설계하고자 한다.

  • In this study, by utilizing the information fusion of multi sensor data and time within the crosswalk safety Assistive gait secondary to the safety of pedestrians on the system design and system performance verification through support to. Environmental awareness, and time information in addition to leveraging the default behavior for pedestrian safety design of the secondary system performed a study on the scenario and the behavior of a system for fuzzy control was performed for each sensor data processing, median filtering, including filters processing leveraging, and was attached by the time we complete the final algorithm, the system behavior. In addition, taking advantage of the sensor measurements, so basically uncertainties and sensor results, and you want to give at least the reliability of the data fusion experiment equipment using this simple verification.

  • Efforts are being made to prevent traffic accidents in the school zone in advance. However, traffic accidents in school zones continue to occur. If the driver can know the situation information in the child protection area in advance, accidents can be reduced. In this paper, we design a camera that eliminates blind spots in school zones and a number recognition camera system that can collect pre-traffic information. It is designed by improving the LIDAR system that recognizes vehicle speed and pedestrians. It collects and processes pedestrian and vehicle image information recognized by cameras and LIDAR, and applies artificial intelligence time series analysis and artificial intelligence algorithms. The artificial intelligence traffic accident prevention system learned by deep learning proposed in this paper provides a forced push service that delivers school zone information to the driver to the mobile device in the vehicle before entering the school zone. In addition, school zone traffic information is provided as an alarm on the LED signboard.

Height Estimation of pedestrian based on image (영상기반 보행자 키 추정 방법)

  • Object recognition is one of the key technologies of the monitoring system for the prevention of various intelligent crimes. The height is one of the physical information of a person, and it may be important information for identification of the person. In this paper, a method which can detect pedestrians from CCTV images and estimate the height of the detected objects, is proposed. In this method, GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model) method was used to separate the moving object from the background and the pedestrian was detected using the conditions such as the width-height ratio and the size of the candidate objects. The proposed method was applied to the CCTV video, and the height of the pedestrian at far-distance, middle- distance, near-distance was estimated for the same person, and the accuracy was evaluated. Experimental results showed that the proposed method can estimate the height of the pedestrian as the accuracy of 97% for the short-range, 98% for the medium-range, and more than 97% for the far-range. The image sizes for the same pedestrian are different as the position of him in the image, it is shown that the proposed algorithm can estimate the height of pedestrian for various position effectively.

  • 대한민국은 곧 초고령사회에 진입할 것으로 전망된다. 국내 신호 교통체계에서 교통약자에 해당하는 고령자의 보행 안전성은 취약한 상태이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 고령자와 기타 교통약자의 보행 안전성을 높이기 위해 초음파 센서와 적외선 센서를 사용한 스마트 신호등을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 교통약자가 인식되면 보행신호 시간을 연장하여 횡단보도에서의 보행자 사고율을 감소시킬 수 있다.

  • This paper sets a goal at developing an intelligent advertising system that displays only an advertisement in which interests passers by collecting their RFID information and analysing it in order to improve the defect of outdoor advertising boards which unilaterally advertise regardless of people's interest. For this purpose, we propose a RFID contents middleware which generates a meaningful event and streams an advertising content corresponding with the passers' interest after filtering and analysing the recognized RFID data. We implemented the RFID middleware with Sun Java RFID software and made an experiment by designing a RFID emulator. As a result of the experiment. we found that this system displays the advertisement according to the passers' information.

  • 감시 카메라 환경에서 자동으로 그룹 행동을 인식하는 기술이 최근 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 그룹 해동 인식 시스템은 다른 추가 정보 없이 비디오 프레임만을 인풋으로 받아들여, 자동으로 보행자 탐지, 추적, 행동 인식까지 모두 포괄하는 시스템이다. 시공간 모션 패턴을 만들고 연결 요소들로 모델링 한 뒤 Hidden Markov Model (HMM)을 이용해 그룹 행동을 인식한다. 실험 결과, 기본 논문과 비교하였을 때, 비슷한 인식률을 보이면서 수행 시간을 약 25 배 정도로 획기적으로 단축하였다.
