There are various treatment options such as conventional complete denture, hybrid prosthesis and implant-supported fixed prosthesis for fully edentulous patients. In case of implant-supported fixed prosthesis, compared to removable prosthesis, it is difficult to place the implant in the correct position considering the anatomical contours of the final prosthesis. In this case, a full mouth rehabilitation with implant-supported fixed prosthesis was performed for a patient who required extraction of all remaining teeth due to dental caries and chronic periodontitis. In the implant placement stage, the implant was placed in the desired position using a surgical guide fabricated considering the anatomical contours of the final prosthesis, and the function and esthetics were evaluated through correction and re-fabrication of the fixed provisional restoration. A final restoration of porcelain fused to gold prosthesis was delivered to the patient based on the provisional restoration. To cope with complications such as loosening of screws and fracture of porcelain, a screw-retained type prosthesis was fabricated for the posterior part and a screw-cement-retained type prosthesis for the anterior part. As a result, the patient showed an improved prognosis in terms of functional and esthetics after the final prosthesis was delivered.

Installation of dental implants at optimal angles and positions is critical in long-term stable implant-supported restorations. Surgery and prosthodontic procedures should be performed accurately as the treatment is planned. In this clinical case, Computer aided design and manufacturing technology was used not only to establish a precise surgical plan, but also to fabricate both provisional and definitive fixed prostheses. A surgical guide was designed to install the implants at proper positions for the definitive prostheses. The patient's esthetic information, which was necessary for the new provisional and definitive fixed prostheses, was obtained from the existing temporary dentures. Finally, the complete mouth fixed implant-supported rehabilitation using monolithic zirconia provided the patient with functionally and esthetically satisfactory prostheses.

Severely worn dentition causes various complications such as loss of tooth structure, discoloration, pulp complications and loss of function and aesthetics. In this case, the patient showed particularly severe attrition in the anterior teeth and lack of space for restoration. The amount of vertical dimension was determined based on the diagnostic wax up, and the patient's adaptation was evaluated by using a removable occlusal splint for 6 weeks. Thereafter, the coordination of the muscular nervous system, aesthetics, temporomandibular joint were re-evaluated for 3 months by restoring the fixed provisional restoration. Through the above treatment process, the final restoration was completed with full mouth fixed prosthesis using monolithic zirconia, and functionally and aesthetically stable results were obtained.

Recently, a method of fabricating an esthetic anterior fixed prosthesis by integrating data such as three-dimensional facial scan and jaw motion to form a virtual patient with dynamic occlusion has been introduced. This enables smooth communication with patients during the diagnosis process, improves the predictability of esthetic prosthetic treatment, and lowers the possibility of occlusal adjustment. In this case report, a virtual patient with dynamic occlusion was created in which the results of the treatment were simulated, and esthetic maxillary anterior fixed prosthesis was fabricated. With the aid of the virtual patient, the final restorations were satisfactory both in terms of esthetic and function.

Functional and esthetic recovery through reconstruction of the oral and maxillofacial system is important for patients who underwent mandibulectomy due to lesions such as oral cancer. The fibula free flap, which is frequently used in the reconstruction of the mandible, is easy to prosthetic restoration with implant placement. However, patients with growing periods have difficulty in treatment with implants when the size of the fibula is small and residual growth remains. This case is an 11-year-old female patient who underwent mandibulectomy due to osteosarcoma and reconstruction of the mandible using a fibular free flap. Functional and esthetic recovery were obtained through prosthetic restoration using implant-supported fixed prostheses. Implantation site, number of implants, and type of prostheses were considered. Implant-supported fixed prostheses were delivered at 13 years old, and after an additional 1 year observation, stable results were obtained. However, observing changes in the maxillofacial system through further examinations is necessary.

Prosthetic treatment using implants in fully edentulous patients includes implant-supported fixed prosthesis, implant hybrid prosthesis, implant retained- or supported-over-denture and implant supported fixed prosthesis has advantages such as psychological stability, pronunciation. If an implant supported fixed prosthesis is planned, the implants should be placed in consideration of pronunciation, esthetics, and oral hygiene. For this, clinical and radiological diagnosis is indispensable. When placing the prosthetic driven implant at the site determined from the diagnosis, a sufficient amount of alveolar bone and soft tissue support are required. If these requirements found to be insufficient, a wide range of bone grafting should be performed in advance. In this case, a fully edentulous patient with severe alveolar bone resorption due to periodontal disease was treated with a full mouth rehabilitation using implant-supported fixed prosthesis preceding maxillary sinus graft and alveolar bone augmentation. We report this patient were satisfied with esthetic and function.

Adult patients who need implant and prosthodontic treatment often need treatment to improve the existing occlusion through orthodontic treatment for long-term stable treatment results. However, due to non-aesthetic and uncomfortable orthodontic treatment with orthodontic brackets and wires, many adult patients give up treatment even though they know the need for it. Recently, as digital dentistry has affected all areas of dentistry, clear aligner orthodontic systems have begun to be widely used, and their use is increasing in adults and old-aged people due to the esthetic advantage and convenient oral care. SERAFIN clear aligner system developed in Korea has been developed with the aim of implementing a functional occlusion harmony and is used not only for partial orthodontic treatment but also comprehensive orthodontic treatment. This patient presentation is shown the treatment using SERAFIN clear aligner system for the treatment of patient with TMD, severe extrusion of maxillary second molars, and extracted teeth.

연구개는 그 주위조직과 더불어 생리적 기능에 있어 음성, 연하, 및 호흡 등에 중요한 역할을 한다. 종양등의 이유로 인한 연구개의 외과적 절제는 그 해부학적 크기와 모양의 영구적인 변화로 인해 여러기능의 상실을 초래한다. 이에 따른 결함은 과도한 비음, 연하중 음식물이나 유동물의 비관으로의 누출 등을 들 수 있다. 연구개와 그 주위조직의 생리적인 기능의 숙지 및 이를 응용한 보철물(Palatopharyngeal Obturator)의 적절한 제작은 이러한 기능적 결함을 수복하는데 이용되어진다. 본 증례에서는 종양으로 인해 연구개를 절제한 환자의 보철적 수복에 있어, 구강내 온도에 따라 그 형상이 변화하는 인상재를 이용하여, 측-후 인두벽의 운동을 기능적으로 인기하는 방법을 이용하였다. 이러한 방법으로 제작된 보철물은 종양으로 인한 연구개의 절제 후 생리적인 기능의 장애를, 올바른 Palatopharyngeal 폐쇠를 유도함으로써 음질의 향상, 연하등의 기능을 회복시키는데 큰 도움이 될 수 있음을 보여준다.

Severe tooth wear may lead to pathological changes of pulp, imbalance in occlusion as well as functional and esthetic problems. In this case, 34-year-old male came to the hospital because of generally worn dentition due to attrition and erosion. After evaluation, a full mouth restoration with elevation of the vertical dimension of occlusion was planned. After occlusion was stabilized by an occlusal stabilization appliance, centric relation position was recorded and subsequent provisional restorations were fabricated. After evaluation, a CAD-CAM (computer aided design-computer aided manufacturing) prosthetic restoration was carried out using monolithic zirconia. After 12 months of follow up observation, the patient was satisfied with function and esthetic appearance.

In case of the treatment of maxillary anterior teeth, it should be taken into account the proper morphology, arrangement and color satisfying patient's esthetic demands. For this purpose, facial composition, dentofacial composition, dental composition and dentogingival composition should be considered making diagnosis and treatment plan in an esthetic point of view. In adjustable temporary crown state, careful evaluation and correction of the esthetic and functional aspect were performed, and the definite restoration was reproduced using double scan.
