Analytical Study on the Definition and Nature of Authenticity in Heritage Conservation (문화재 보존에 있어서 진정성 개념의 속성과 변화 고찰)

  • Authenticity has emerged as an important condition which should be examined in setting out conservation and management principles of cultural heritage during the last half century. Compared that the concept has been internationally discussed developing it into the applicable framework such kind of effort has been relatively low within Asian context. This paper is the first half part the research on authenticity which aims at setting out conceptual framework of authenticity in Korean context and presenting a set of suggestion to make the Korean heritage-based concept of authenticity be workable in assessing heritage value in practice. It focused on the analytical review on two aspects: 1. the origin of the word and the development of the concept along with the implementation of World Heritage Convention, nt of related international charters; 2. Problems of the intrinsic nature of the concept and problems to be considered in defining the concept.

A Robust DNA Watermarking in Lifting Based 1D DWT Domain (Lifting 기반 1D DWT 영역 상의 강인한 DNA 워터마킹)

  • DNA watermarking have been interested for both the security of private genetic information or huge DNA storage information and the copyright protection of GMO. Multimedia watermarking has been mainly designed on the basis of frequency domain, such as DCT, DWT, FMT, and so on, for the robustness and invisibility. But a frequency domain watermarking for coding DNA sequence has a considerable constraint for embedding the watermark because transform and inverse transform must be performed without completely changing the amino acid sequence. This paper presents a coding sequence watermarking on lifting based DWT domain and brings up the availability of frequency domain watermarking for DNA sequence. From experimental results, we verified that the proposed scheme has the robustness to until a combination of 10% point mutations, 5% insertion and deletion mutations and also the amino preservation and the security.

  • 디지털보존 시대에서도 종이기록물의 보존은 여전히 그 중요성이 막중하다. 그리고 '세계의 기록유산; Memory of the World; MOW'의 지정은 세계적으로 소멸되고 있는 인류의 기록유산을 보존하고 보호하는데 큰 역할을 한다. 아울러 일본 국내에서 진행되고 있는 역사기록물에 대한 수복(修復) 보존 활동을 상세하게 설명함으로써, 한국에서도 이러한 기록물의 보존측면과 활용측면이 수례(車輪)의 두 바퀴처럼 그 필요성을 각각 인식하고, 종이기록물에 대한 보존활동 사업에 더욱 박차를 가하도록 당부하고자 한다.

Study on the storage stability of allyl chloride and carbon disulfide in tedlar bags (테들라 백에서의 알릴클로라이드와 이황화탄소 보존성 연구)

  • The sixty nine chemicals that are closely linked to chemical accident are designated as the substances requiring preparation for accidents and managed for public health under the Toxic Chemicals Control Act. In this study, storage stability of allyl chloride (AC) and carbon disulfide (CD), which are highly inflammable and volatile in tedlar bags, was studied for gaseous chemicals sampling. Storage stability was studied considering storage temperature ($2^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$), chemical concentration (low conc. ppm, high conc. ppm) and storage time (0, 48, 96, and 144 hr). Also, the stability of bags containing one type of chemical substance and the bags containing a mixture of chemicals was compared against each other. As a result, two chemicals showed decreasing storage stability based on storage time. Also two chemicals presented statistical significance of concentration and mixing type.

Real-time Scheduling on Heterogeneous Multi-core Architecture for Energy Conservation of Smart Mobile Devices (스마트 모바일 장치의 에너지 보존성을 높이기 위한 비대칭 멀티 코어 기반 실시간 태스크 스케쥴링)

  • Nowaday, smart mobile devices on Internet of Things are required to process and deliver greate amount of data in real-time. Therefore, heterogeneous mult-core architecture such the big.LITTLE core architecture, which shows high energy conservation while guaranteeing high performance, are widely employed on up to date smart mobile devices. The LITTLE cores should be highly utilized to gain higher energy conservation because LITTLE cores have much higher energy efficiency than big cores. In this paper, we propose a core selection algorithm, which tries to firstly assign a real-time task on a LITTLE core rather a big core while the task can be finished within its own deadline. We also perform simulation as performance evaluation to show that our proposed algorithm shows higher energy conservation while guaranteeing the required performance.

Secure Format-Preserving Encryption for Message Recovery Attack (메시지 복구 공격에 안전한 형태보존암호)

  • Recently, due to the personal information security act, the encryption of personal information has attracted attention. However, if the conventional encryption scheme is used directly, the database schema must be changed because the conventional encryption scheme does not preserve the format of the data, which can yield a large cost. Therefore, the Format-Preserving Encryption(FPE) has emerged as an important technique that ensures the confidentiality of the data and maintains the database schema naturally. Accordingly, National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST) recently published the FF1 and FF3 as standards for FPE, although problems have been found in the security of FF1 and FF3 against message recovery attacks. In this paper, we study and analyze FF1 and FF3 as the standards of FPE, as well as the message recovery attack on these schemes. We also study a secure FPE against message recovery attack and verify the efficiency by implementing standardized FF1 and FF3.
