This study examined the relationship between the number of medical technologists and the medical test count. Data was obtained from 441 medical technologists in a hospital through a self-reported questionnaire. The Pearson correlation test, student's t-test, ANOVA or descriptive statistics were performed for data analysis. The distribution of medical technologist according to the size of hospitals was small 5.8, medium 14.9, large 25.8, and super 45.4. The analysis demonstrated a relationship between the number of medical technologists and the number of medical tests in the field, number of clinical tests per MT, and number of optimal medical test per MT according to the hospital size (P<0.001). The average time for quality control by the department at a higher hospital was less than two hours. In terms of the satisfaction of salary, work environment, test accomplishment, and welfare service, the dissatisfaction of medical technologists in small and medium hospitals was higher than those in large and super hospitals. Overall, a focus on intensifying systemic supplementation and improving the condition of medical technologists is needed to provide reliable data for medical examinations in medical areas.

This study assessed the desired wage guidelines for medical technologists (MTs), mainly primary care providers and those in secondary medical institutions, in 16 cities and provinces in Korea. A survey of 1,327 MTs was conducted using a structured Google questionnaire from August 1, 2022, to September 30, 2022. The wage levels differed according to gender, age, education, career, region, and employment status. There were differences in wage levels according to gender and region with less than one year of career, and the wage gap was relatively larger for woman than man. An awareness of wage compensation appropriate for work performance, and technology value compensation were low at 2.01, 2.23, and 2.30, respectively. This study suggests that primary and secondary medical institutions should provide reasonable wages compensation for MTs' work in order to create an environment where MTs can receive stable jobs and work. Moreover, the Korean Association of Medical Technologists should establish a cooperative system so that the starting wage of MTs in primary and secondary medical institutions can receive the desired wage of 34 million won.

A necrotizing skeletal myopathy was diagnosed in three flocks of 30,000 thirty-eight-week-old layer breeder chickens. The mortality attributed to the myopathy was 17.7%, 12.3% and 21.1% in flock A, B and C, respectively. Clinically, chickens were showed depression, anorexia, posterior paresis, inability to rise, incoordination, reluctance to move, and leg trembling and weakness. The most striking findings at necropsy was pale streaking in the muscles of the thighs and legs. Microscopic lesions included myofiber degeneration and necrosis with massive cellular proliferation interpreted as sarcolemmal nuclei proliferation. Plasma creatine kinase, asparte aminotransferase and akaline phosphatase were markedly elevated. In conclusion, author suggested that submitted chickens were affected by ionophores poisoning.

The endoscopic pathological findings of gastrointestinal tract (GIT) are important in the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer. Deep learning based on convolutional nueral network (CNN) has been implemented to solve the subjective analysis problem and to increase the performance of early detection of pathological findings. However, the desired performance is yet to be achieved and CNNs are computationally complex. To solve these problems, in this paper, we propose a vision transformer based endoscopic pathological findings classification for the early detection of colorectal cancer. Publicly available endoscopic images with three pathological findings, including esophagitis, polyps, and ulcerative colitis, each with 1000 images were used. Using our approach, we have achieved a test accuracy of 98% in classifying the three pathological findings.

2001년 2월 12일경, 경남 서생 소재 한 넙치 양식장에서 임상적으로 궤양, 체색흑화 및 복수증을 동반하는 질병이 발생하였다. 보름 동안 한 탱크에서만 총 4백미 중 약 5%가 발병하였으며 하루에 10미 미만으로 폐사가 있었다. Ampicillin 투여 후 폐사량이 줄어들었다. 폐사가 일어나고 있던 기간의 수온은 10~13$^{\circ}C$, 염분농도는 31~33$ extperthousand$이었다. 임상적으로 이상 소견을 나타내는 넙치를 채집하여 간, 비장 및 체신에 대해 Nacl(1.5%) 첨가 TSA에 1mm 이하의 연한 아이보리색의 세균 집락이 느린 속도로 자랐다.
