Off-line recognition of Hanguls handprinted in sammool style with statistical feature extraction method (통계적 특징 추출 방법을 이용한 샘물체 필기 한글의 오프라인 인식)

  • 본 논문에서는 통계적인 특징 추출 방법을 사용하여 샘물체로 필기된 한글을 고속으로 인식하는 방법을 소개한다. 대부분이 직선 성분으로 이루어진 한글의 특성을 이응하기 위하여 입력 영상으로부터 수평, 수직, 사선, 역사선의 방향 성분을 추출하며, 검은 화소의 밀도에 따라 동적으로 그물을 결정함으로써 획 간의 접촉 변형에 무관한 특징 벡터를 추출한다. 이와 같은 통계적 특징 추출 방법은 크기 정규화나 세선화 과정이 필요없으며, 또한 샘물체라는 필기 형태의 제약에 의해 정합 대상 부류의 수가 현저히 줄어들기 때문에 인식에 소요되는 시간을 상당히 줄일 수 있음은 물론, 인식률을 향상시켰다. 제안된 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 샘물체로 필기된 KS 완성형 한글 2,350자에 대해 실험한 결과, 평균 90% 이상의 인식률을 보이며, IBM PC 486(33MHz)상에서 문자당 평균 0.17초의 인식 속도를 보임으로써, 실용적인 고속 OCR 시스템의 개발 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 지진 등에 의해 유발된 동 하중에 의한 지반-구조물 계의 응답은 지반-구조물사이의 경계에서의 마찰특성과 미끄러짐에 의해 크게 영향을 받게 된다. 본 논문에서는 진동대(Shaking table)를 이용하여 조립토와 건설재료(steel)와의 경계에서 지반으로부터 지중구조물에 전달되는 전단응력의 전달정도를 파악하기 위한 실험을 실시하였다. 본 실험에서 설정한 미끄러짐속도 범위 내에서는 미끄러짐속도 변화에 따른 조립토와 건설재료(steel) 사이의 동마찰계수의 변화가 작다는 사실이 관찰되었다. 그리고 조립토의 평균유효입경의 변화가 동마찰계수에 미치는 영향도 함께 조사되었으며, 이 동마찰계수를 같은 조립토에 대한 평면변형률시험을 통해 얻어진 최대내부마찰각으로부터 구한 마찰계수와 비교하여 정량화하였다.

Influence of Aging Media and Filler System on Recovery Behaviors of Natural Rubber Composites (노화 매질과 충진 시스템이 천연고무 복합체의 회복 거동에 미치는 영향)

  • Difference in recovery behaviors from the circular deformation of natural rubber (NR) composites aged in air and distilled water, respectively were investigated. Recoveries of the samples aged in air were larger than those of the samples aged in distilled water. Recovery rates of the samples reinforced with filler were faster than those of the unreinforced ones. Recovery rates of the carbon black-filled samples were faster than those of the silica-filled ones. Difference in the recovery behaviors according to the aging media can be explained by the crosslinking density changes and the annealing effect.

  • 문자 인식에 있어서 입력 벡터 생성을 위한 정규화(Normalization)는 다차원 입력 벡터를 단순화하여 속도 및 인식률의 개선을 가져오는 중요한 과정이다. 본 논문에서는 문자 인식을 위한 효율적인 입력 영상의 정규화 방법에 대한 연구와 제안하는 획 정규화 기법을 이용하여 Kohonene Neural Network으로 다양한 입력 영상 변형에 따른 인식 성능을 실험으로 비교 분석하여 제안한 정규화 방법의 효율성을 증명하였다.

  • Recently, digital image correlation (DIC) techniques have been used to measure dynamic deformation during tensile testing. The standard tensile test method measures the average displacement of the relevant specimen to calculate the true stress-strain curve. Therefore, the validity of the true stress curve is restricted to the stress incurred within the uniform stretching interval, i.e., the maximum stress corresponds to the starting point of the necking deformation. Alternatively, if DIC is used, the effective range of the strain and strain rate can be extended to the breaking point of the tensile specimen, because of the feasibility of measuring the local strain over the entire area of interest. Because of these advantages, many optical 3D measurement systems have been introduced and used in research and industry. However, the conventional 3D measurement systems are exceedingly expensive and time consuming. In addition, these systems have the disadvantage of a very large equipment size which makes their transport difficult. In this study, a 2D image correction method employing a 2D DIC measurement method in conjunction with a numerical analysis method is developed using a smartphone. The results of the proposed modified 2D DIC method yielded higher accuracy than that obtained via the 3D measurement equipment. In conclusion, it was demonstrated that the proposed 2D DIC and calibration methods yield accurate measurement results with low time costs.

  • Fatigue crack growth behavior was investigated in the center cracked plate of KS SB41 steel and the relation between the crack growth rate and various mechanical parameters was studied at small scale yielding, large scale yielding and full scale yielding. The crack opening ratio U was about 0.6-0.8 and had the larger value in the case of load control than that of strain control. Effective stress intensity factor range, .DELTA.K$_{eff}$ and J integral range, .DELTA.J were obtained from the notion of crack opening, and the crack growth rate was expressed with these values. The value of J integral range increased rapidly at stress ratio, R=0 in full scale yielding of load control test. COD value also increased rapidly with the increase of ligament net stress at large scale yielding of load control test.t.

  • 제 3원소가 첨가된 금속간 화합물 TiAI 금속간 화합물 분말을 PREP법(플라즈마 회전전극법)으로 제조하여, 통.방전 강압소결법에 의해 치밀한 소결체를 만들었다. 이에 대해 첨가 원소의 종류와 열처리에 따른 고온 및 상온 압축 특성의 변화를 조사하였다. 소결체의 미세조직은 ${\gamma}$/$\alpha$2 lamella로 이루어진 완전 변태구조였고, 결정립의 크기는 140-150$\mu\textrm{m}$였으며 계단형 결정립계를 나타내었다. 소결체를 ($\alpha$+${\gamma}$)구역인 130$0^{\circ}C$에서 2시간 동안 열처리한 결과, 모든 조성의 시편이 등축점 ${\gamma}$와 lamella로 이루어진 전형적인 duplexrn조로 변태하였다. 상온 압축 시험에서 시편은 파괴될 때까지 가공경화 현상이 나타났으며, Cr을 첨가한 시편이 가장 큰 파괴응력과 변형률을 나타내었다. 한편, 고온 압축 시험의 경우 온도상승 때문에 가공경화의 속도가 감소되었고, 80$0^{\circ}C$에서는 가공경화와 회복이 균형을 이루는 소위 정상 상태의 변형을 보였다.

Influence of Strain Rate on Tensile Properties and Dynamic Strain Aging of an Fe-24.5Mn-4Cr-0.45C Alloy (변형률 속도에 따른 Fe-24.5Mn-4Cr-0.45C 합금의 인장 특성과 동적 변형시효)

  • In the present study, the tensile properties and dynamic strain aging of an Fe-24.5Mn-4Cr-0.45C alloy were investigated in terms of strain rate. During tensile testing at room temperature, all the stress-strain curves exhibited serrated plastic flows related to dynamic strain aging, regardless of the strain rate. Serration appeared right after yield stress at lower strain rates, while it was hardly observed at high strain rates. On the other hand, strain-rate sensitivity, indicating a general relationship between flow stress and strain rate at constant strain and temperature, changed from positive to negative as the strain increased. The negative strain-rate sensitivity can be explained by the Portevin Le Chatelier effect, which is associated with dynamic strain aging and is dependent on the strain rate because it is very likely that the dynamic strain aging phenomenon in high-manganese steels is involved in the interaction between moving dislocations and point-defect complexes.

  • Elastic-viscoplastic structural analysis has been performed for regenerative cooling chamber of liquid rocket thrust chamber using Bodner-Partom visco-plastic model. Strain rate test was conducted for a copper alloy at various temperatures in order to get material constants of visco-plastic model used in the structural analysis. Material constants of visco-plastic model were obtained from strain rate test results and visco-plastic model was incorporated into finite element program, Marc, by means of a user subroutine. The structural analysis results indicated that the deformation of cooling channel is mostly caused by thermal loading rather than pressure loading and confirmed structural stability of the cooling channel under the operating condition.

  • High nitrogen steels (HNS) exhibit both high strength and ductility during tensile deformation. In the present study the Fe-18Cr-14Mn-4Ni-0.9N high nitrogen steel was heat treated at $1000^{\circ}C$ and $1100^{\circ}C$ to produce $Cr_2N$ precipitates in austenite matrix and full austenite microstructures, respectively. Tensile tests of the heat treated specimens were performed at two different strain rates of 0.05/sec and 0.00005/sec. Each tensile curve of the specimens could be well characterized by the the modified Ludwik equation. Plastic deformation of the steel was adequately represented by the four parameters of the modified Ludwik equation. At 0.05/s strain rate, the specimen with the $Cr_2N$ precipitate exhibited higher strength than the full austenite specimen, while the full austenite specimen showed better mechanical properties at 0.00005/s strain rate. It was found that the $Cr_2N$ precipitates influences deformation behavior of the high nitrogen steel significantly.
