This study analyzed the translation error factors of machine translation services such as Naver Papago and Google Translate through Self-Attention path visualization. Self-Attention is a key method of the Transformer and BERT NLP models and recently widely used in machine translation. We propose a method to explain translation error factors of machine translation algorithms by comparison the Self-Attention paths between ST(source text) and ST'(transformed ST) of which meaning is not changed, but the translation output is more accurate. Through this method, it is possible to gain explainability to analyze a machine translation algorithm's inside process, which is invisible like a black box. In our experiment, it was possible to explore the factors that caused translation errors by analyzing the difference in key word's attention path. The study used the XLM-RoBERTa multilingual NLP model provided by exBERT for Self-Attention visualization, and it was applied to two examples of Korean-Chinese and Korean-English translations.

Covid-19 로 인한 마스크 착용이 청각장애인들의 소통을 더 어렵게 하는 바, 제 3 자의 도움 없이 쌍방향 소통을 가능하게 하는 서비스의 필요성이 커지고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 소통의 어려움을 겪는 청각장애인과 비청각장애인을 위한 쌍방향 소통 서비스에 대한 연구와 개발 과정, 기대 효과를 담는다. 서비스는 GRU-CNN 하이브리드 아키텍처를 사용하여 데이터셋을 영상 공간 정보와 시간 정보를 포함한 프레임으로 분할하는 영상 분류 기법과 같은 딥 러닝 알고리즘을 통해 수어 영상을 분류한다. 해당 연구는 "눈속말" 모바일 어플리케이션으로 제작 중이며 음성을 인식하여 수어영상과 텍스트로 번역결과를 제공하는 청각장애인 버전과 카메라를 통해 들어온 수어 영상을 텍스트로 변환하여 음성과 함께 제공하는 비청각장애인 버전 두 가지로 나누어 구현한다. 청각장애인과 비장애인의 쌍방향 소통을 위한 서비스는 청각장애인이 사회로 나아가기 위한 가장 기본적인 관문으로서의 역할을 할 것이며 사회 참여를 돕고 소통이라는 장벽을 넘어서는 발돋움이 될 것이라 예측된다.

분산 시스팀 환경하에서 여러 다양한 구성요소사이의 상호작용과 통신을 관장하는 규칙들인 프로토콜을 설계하는데 있어서 컴퓨터 과학 및 공학 영역의 형식방법과 소프트웨어 공학기법이 적용되고 있다. 그 결과로서 새로운 영역인 프로토콜 공학(Protocol Engineering)의 중요성이 점차 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 프로토콜 공학 사이클(프로토콜과 서비스 명세, 프로토콜 검정과 검증, 프로토콜 종합, 프로토콜 변환, 성능 평가, 자동 구현, 그리고 적합성 시험) 중에서 적합성시섬 즉, 적합성 시험언어인 TTCN(Tree and Tabular Combined Notation) 특성, 시험시나리오, 그리고 추상적 시험 시나리오를 수행하는 시험언어 번역기(TTCN2C)에 관해서 논하였다.

한국 수어는 소리로 말을 배울 수 없어서 사용하는 '보이는 언어'이고 한국수화언어를 줄인 말이다. 한국어나 영어와 같이 독립된 언어로 한국어와는 문법 체계가 다른 대한민국 농인의 고유한 언어이다. 하지만, 한국 사회에서는 수어를 일상어로 사용하는 농인이 수어만으로 다른 사람과 대화하거나 서비스 등을 이용하기에는 쉽지 않은 구조이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 택시라는 상황을 가정해 택시 안에서 학습된 모델이 농인의 수어를 인식하고 택시 기사에게 해당 의미를 전달하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템을 통해 택시 기사는 농인(수어사용자)에게 응답할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국수어 번역기 웹서비스를 설계 및 구현하여 실제 환경에서의 활용 가능성을 검증한다.

순환 신경망(RNN) 기반의 Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)는 자연어처리 분야에서 우수한 성능을 보이는 모델이다. 음성을 문자로 변환해주는 Speech to Text (STT)를 이용해 자막을 생성하고, 생성된 자막을 다른 언어로 동시에 번역을 해주는 서비스가 활발히 진행되고 있다. STT를 사용하여 자막을 추출하는 경우에는 마침표가 없이 전부 연결된 문장이 생성되기 때문에 정확한 번역이 불가능하다. 본 논문에서는 영어자막의 자동 번역 시, 정확도를 높이기 위해 텍스트를 문장으로 분할하여 마침표를 생성해주는 방법을 제안한다. 이 때, LSTM을 이용하여 데이터를 학습시킨 후 테스트한 결과 62.3%의 정확도로 마침표의 위치를 예측했다.

In the mobile gaming market, it is desirable for a specific content to be served on various platforms. Recently, it is a very important issue in the market for mobile games. This problem incurs extra cost, because we need to redevelop existing contents to be executed on another platforms. Moreover, the release of a new platform has spent much more effort and cost developing many contents in short period of time. Therefore, we need to research about translation techniques that enable the existing contents to run on a different platform. In this paper, we propose translation techniques for mobile games. The techniques can be applied on converting mobile contents to runnable contents on a new platform. To realize it, we design and implement a source-level contents translator which is targeting Android platform using the suggested techniques. Our source-level contents translator is implemented systematically by applying compiler theory. Also, we solve partially translation problems between different programming languages. The translator has been implemented separately divided into three tasks such as kernel porting, library mapping as well as language translation. We expect these techniques to increase utilization of existing mobile games and contribute to vitalizations of mobile contents industry.

Recent studies on XML filtering assume that all data sources follow a single global schema defined in a filtering system. However, beyond this simple assumption, a filtering system can provide a service that allows data publishers to have their own schema; hence, the data sources will become heterogeneous. The number of data sources is expected to be large in a filtering system and the data sources are frequently published, updated, and disappeared, that is, dynamic. In this paper, we introduce implementing a simple and efficient XPath query translation method for such a dynamic environment. The method is especially targeted for a query which is composed based only on users' knowledge and experience without a graphical guidance of the global schema. When a user queries a large number of heterogeneous data, there is a high possibility that the query is not consistent with the same local schema assumed by the user. Our query translation method also supports a function for this problem. Some experimental results for query translation performance have shown that our method has reasonable performance, and is more practical than the existing method.

This study has been conducted in preparation for a library instruction program for the Sangmyung University Library. The purpose of this study Is to assess the effectiveness of different types of library instruction in improving the information literacy of users. 112 questionnaires were measured and analyzed using SAS and t-test, ANOVA among other statistical techniques. The results were as follows: (1) Library instruction directly affects the information literacy of users. After taking library instruction. users were able to effectively use the AtoZ service, related Sites service. thesis service, E-resources, DDS service. off-campus service, translation system and the e-book service through the library homepage. (2) Group instruction proved to be the most effective type of library Instruction while online instruction was the worst.
