  • This paper presents methods to design an integrated system for supporting both multimedia contents creations and its presentation in a windows system. Especially, it describes methods for designing an integrated editor that can be used to crate and edit various media data including continuous media such as audio and video. And it also proposes a system model for systematically integrating multimedia creating tool with multimedia presentation system where the heeling and scenario-based presentation methods are included in the propose system for supporting effective multimedia presentation through a network Finally, we describe a threads processing technique based on event monitoring to satisfy effectively needs for presentation control, synchronization control, and user's input control during a multimedia presentation.

  • The heterogeneous LTE-Advanced networks comprising a macrocell and femtocells can provide an efficient solution not only to extend macrocell coverage but also to deal with packet traffics increasing explosively within macrocells. Efficient resource management schemes are necessary to maintain the QoS requirements of versatile multimedia applications in LTE-Advanced networks because their service-continuity may be defected by some delay and information loss. In this paper, we propose a resource allocation method for the heterogeneous LTE-Advancedl networks overlaid with femtocells. Performances are analyzed by simulation.

  • 인터넷 정보가전 제품의 보급과 편리한 서비스를 요구하는 사용자의 욕구증대로 인하여 홈 오토메이션이라는 기술이 대두 되었다. 초기의 홈 오토메이션은 셋톱박스, CCTV와 같은 장비들이 요구 되어 가정, 사무실과 같은 소규모 공간에서의 도입이 어렵다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 언제 어디서나 영상 감시와 제어를 할 수 있고 별도의 장비 없이 소규모 공간에서도 손쉽게 적용 시킬 수 있는 홈 오토메이션 시스템이 요구된다. 홈 오토메이션 시스템의 구현을 위해서는 기반기술인 영상 감시와 제어기술이 구현되어야한다. 본 논문에서는 홈 오토메이션의 기반 기술인 영상 감시기술 구현을 위해 원격 영상 감시 시스템을 설계 및 구현 하였다. 원격 영상 감시 시스템은 클라이언트에서 선택한 웹카메라의 동화상 캡쳐시 버퍼링을 중지함으로써 영상지연을 최소화하였으며, 카메라 선택 모듈의 사용으로 모든 영상이 아닌 선택된 영상만을 전송함으로써 자원 소모를 줄였다. 이러한 원격 영상 감시 시스템은 전력 감시 시스템, 분산 제어 시스템 등의 산업분야 뿐만 아니라 교육 분야 등 여러 분야에서 사용될 수 있다.

  • Communication performance requirements are described as QoS parameters in multimedia communication Protocols including SCTP. One of the important QoS parameters is the reliability of the transfer. As a QoS parameter, the reliability defines error detection, report and correction mechanisms. Including SCTP, conventional error control mechanisms, however, do not consider the integrated viewpoint of multimedia data. In this paper, I have designed and proposed the multimedia oriented error control method based on multimedia characteristics. The proposed scheme should have the reduction effect of the communication resources such as frame buffer, procesing power and bandwidth as well as satisfy the requirements of users.

Design of Voltage Controlled Oscillator for X-band Radar Using CSRR loaded microstrip line (마이크로스트립 종단형 CSRR구조를 이용한 X-band 레이다용 전압제어발진기의 설계)

  • In this paper, a novel voltage controlled oscillator(VCO) using CSRR loaded microstrip line for X-band RADAR is proposed. Using the microstrip line loaded CSRR inserted between the oscillator and buffer to the filter, the harmonic suppression has been improved. The measured results of the fabricated oscillator shows that its oscillation frequencies are from 9.28 to 9.39GHz according to the tuning voltage 0~10V, its output power level are about 16.6dBm at 9.35GHz. Compared with VCO using the conventional VCO, VCO using CSRR loaded microstirp, the harmonic suppression characteristic has been improved in 10.4dB

  • This paper presents a method to design the integrated system for supporting both multimedia contents creation and its presentation in a windows system. And it also proposes a system model for systematically integrating multimedia creation tool with multimedia presentation system where the buffering and scenario-based presentation methods are included in the propose system for supporting effective multimedia presentation through a network. Finally, we describe a threads processing technique based on event monitoring to satisfy needs for presentation control, synchronization control, and user's input control during a multimedia presentation.

CIGS 박막태양전지 제조기술 이슈분석

  • CIGS 박막태양전지는 박막태양전지 기술 중 가장 주목을 받고 있는 기술에 해당한다. 그 이유는 박막태양전지 기술 중 즉, CdTe, a-Si, CIGS 중 가장 셀 효율이 높게 구현되고 있으며, 특히 다양한 제조공정이 가능하기 때문이다. 현재 CIGS 박막태양전지 양산에 적용되고 있는 제조기술은 동시증발법과 스퍼터/셀렌화 공정이다. 동시증발법의 경우, CIGS 태양전지의 세계최고효율을 구현한 기술로서 다른 모든 제조기술의 기준이 되는 공정이나, 실제로는 스퍼터/셀렌화 공정을 이용한 양산 규모가 훨씬 크게 전개되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 동시증발법이 최고효율을 구사한 물질 및 공정 스펙에 대해 살펴보고, 스퍼터/셀렌화 공정에서 동시증발법에 의해 제조된 소자 스펙을 구현하기 위해 어떠한 노력을 기울여야 하는 지에 대해 기술하고자 한다. 먼저, 동시증발법이 적용된 양산기술 현황에 대해 살펴보고, 여러가지 스펙 중에서 Na 제어기술, 버퍼층 기술, 투명전극 측면에서 소자성능의 최적화를 논하고자 한다. Na의 경우, 널리 알려진 바와 같이 CIGS 내 0.1at% 정도의 함유량이 필요하다. 동시증발법과는 다른 공정온도와 이력이 사용되는 스퍼터/셀렌화의 경우, Na 함량의 제어를 위해 어떠한 노력이 필요한지 Na의 역할 측면에서 논하고자 한다. CBD 공정으로 제조되고 있는 CdS는 얇은 두께와 단순한 공정으로 인해 다소 소홀하기 쉬우나, CdS/CIGS 접합이 소자의 성능에 미치는 영향이 매우 크기 때문에 CIGS 표면 물성 제어 측면에서 CdS 제조공정을 살펴보고자 한다. 마지막으로 투명전극은 CIGS 제조공정과는 무관하게 공통으로 검토가 필요한 분야이나, 동시 증발법에 의한 CIGS 표면형상이 스퍼터/셀렌화에 의한 CIGS와는 크게 다르므로 후속 투명전극공정 또한 세부적인 검토가 필요하다고 판단되는 바, 투명전극이 갖춰야하는 물성을 중심으로 소자최적화를 논하고자 한다.

Shaping Scheme Using UPC with LB and TJW in ATM Networks (ATM 망에서 LB와 TJW UPC를 이용한 트래픽 쉐이핑)

  • Congestion may take place in the ATM network because of high-speed cell transmission features, and cell delay and loss also can be caused by unexpected traffic variation. Thus, traffic control mechanisms are needed. One of them to decrease congestion is the Cell shaping. This paper proposes a hybrid type cell shaper composed of a Leaky Bucket with token pool, Tn with time window, and a spacing control buffer. The simulator BONeS with the ON/OFF traffic source model evaluates the performance of the proposed cell shaping method. Simulation results show that the cell shaping concerning the respective source traffics is adapted to and then controlled on the mean bit rate.

TCP Congestion Control Algorithm using TimeStamp (TimeStamp를 이용한 TCP 혼잡제어 알고리즘)

  • Through many users employ TCP of which the performance has been proved in Internet, but many papers Proposed to improve TCP performance according to varying network architecture. In Particular, BWDP(bandwidth-delay Product) grew larger because of the increasing delay in satellite link and the network's speed-up. To consider these increased bandwidth-delay product, it is suggested that TCP options include Window Scale option. TimeStamp option, and PAWS. Because TCP window size should be commonly high in the network with these increased bandwidth-delay product, the multiple decrease and linear increase scheme of current TCP would cause underflow and instability within network. Then TCP performance is reduced as a result. Thus, to improve TCP congestion control algorithm in the network which has large sized window, this paper proposes the congestion control scheme that controls window size by using TimeStamp option.

Performance Analysis of a Dynamic Priority Control Scheme for Delay-Sensitive Traffic (음성 트래픽을 위한 동적우선권제어방식의 성능분석)

  • This paper considers the performance of a dynamic priority control function (DPCF) of a threshold-based Bernoulli priority jump (TBPJ) scheme. Loss-sensitive and delay-sensitive traffics are applied to a system with a TBPJ scheme that is a general state-dependent Bernoulli scheduling scheme. Loss-sensitive and delay-sensitive traffics represent sound and data, respectively. Under the TBPJ scheme, the first packet of the loss-sensitive traffic buffer goes into the delay-sensitive traffic buffer with Bernoulli probability p according to system states which represent the buffer thresholds and the number of packets waiting for scheduling. Performance analysis shows that TBPJ scheme obtains large performance build-up for the delay-sensitive traffic without performance degradation for the loss-sensitive traffic. TBPJ scheme shows also better performance than that of HOL scheme.
