백부자(Aconiti koreani Rhizoma)를 이용한 항암효과와 노화억제를 위한 기능성 식품 소재로 개발하기 위하여 항균 및 항산화효과를 조사하였다. 백부자 추출물의 phenol성 물질의 추출수율은 열수추출물이 $8.45{\pm}0.27\;mg/g$이었으며, 에탄올추출물은 20, 40, 60, 80, 100% 농도별로 각각 $6.40{\pm}0.10\;mg/g$, $6.53{\pm}0.26\;mg/g$, $6.96{\pm}0.25\;mg/g$, $2.44{\pm}0.04\;mg/g$, 0.31{\pm}0.17\;mg/g$으로 열수추출물의 phenol 함량이 다소 높게 나타났다. 항산화 효과가 높다고 알려진 phenol 성분의 함량을 HPLC 분석결과 항산화 효과가 높은 protocatecuic acid, chlorogenic acid, rosemarinic acid의 함량이 높게 나타났다. H. pylori에 대한 항균효과는 에탄올추출물에서만 관찰되었다. ABTS radical decolorization과 antioxidant protection factor(PF)를 살펴 본 결과 ABTS는 60% 에탄올추출물에서 $94.25{\pm}0.68%$로 가장 높은 저해율을 나타내었고, PF 역시 60% 에탄올추출물에서 $1.14{\pm}0.05$로 비교적 높은 protection factor을 나타내었다. DPPH에 대한 전자공여능은 20% 에탄올추출물에서 $93.69{\pm}0.19%$의 가장 높은 활성을 나타내었으나, 40%, 60%, 80%간의 유의적인 차이는 없었고, 열수추출물에서는 $60.10{\pm}1.63%$의 낮은 활성을 나타내었다. 활성산소 중 지방산화를 일으키는데 중요한 역할을 하는 hydroxyl radical에 대한 각 추출물들의 영향은 80% 에탄올추출물이 다른 농도의 추출물들에 비하여 낮은 TBARS 값을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 백부자로부터 추출한 페놀성 물질은 60%의 ethanol로 추출한 추출물이 천연항산화 물질로 활용이 가능한 기능성 식품의 소재로의 개발이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

화천 일산에 대한 관속식물 분포와 용도를 파악하기 위하여 2008년 4월부터 10월까지 6회에 걸쳐 조사하였다. 그 결과 확인된 관속식물은 총 91과 295속 422종 1아종 58변종 15품종 등 총 496분류군이었다. 조사된 496종류 중에는 한국특산식물 17분류군, 희귀식물 9분류군과 멸종위기 식물인 백부자가 포함되어있다. 식물구계학적 특정식물종은 금강초롱꽃과 백부자를 포함하여 총 68분류군으로 나타났다. 귀화식물은 27분류군이었으며 귀화율은 5.4%, 도시화지수는 9.4%로 나타났다. 용도는 식용이 201종류(40.5%)로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 약용이 168종류(33.9%), 목초용이 69종류(13.9%), 관상용이 61종류(12.3%), 목재용이 17종류(3.4%), 섬유용이 16종류(3.2%), 그리고 공업용이 4종류(0.8%)로 나타났다.

An alkaloidal component was extracted from the root of Aconitum koreanum R. $R_{AYMOND}$ of the commercial origin. Crude extract was obtained in ca. 2% yield out of dried root with ether-methanol (10:1). White amorphous compound was precipitated out from the HCl solution upon the addition of ammonia water, and crude base was obtained by extraction of its mother liquid with chloroform. This crude base was purified by the alumina-column chromatographic method. A pure alkaloidal component(500mg) was yielded from its crude base. Its pure base comes as needle crystals melting at $250{\sim}252^{\circ}C$ (decomp.), $[\alpha]^{20}_D$ D+9.82 (methanol) and Anal. calcd. for $C_{19}H_{27}O_{8}N$.

Aconitum Koreanum rhizoma has been applied in therapy from old in oriental medicine (Korean Hanbang), The action of the water and alcohol extracts of the rhizoma and root of Aconitum Koreanum R. Raymond, a common herb in Korea, on the isolated Frog heart and $LD_{50}$ were observed. The results of the studies were as follows: 1. The cardiac effect in the concentration of the extracts$(10^{-3})$ was increased and duratrin of action prolonged approximately 10 minutes, but in the extracts $(3{\times}10^{-3})blocked$. 2. The $LD_{50}$ of extracts were 722 mg/kg (water) and 151mg/kg (alcohol) intraperitoneally in mice.

Water and ethanol extracts of A. koreanum were prepared and tested for their improving effects on the rat's dry skin induced by household detergent. Rats treated with ethanol extracts of A. koreanum had higher serum HDL-cholesterol and lower LDL-cholesterol levels, when compared to the ones treated with water extracts. Animals treated with ethanol extracts showed that improved protein recovery patterns over time, when it compared to the ones treated with water extracts.

동아시아에서 가장 큰 산줄기인 백두대간은 빙하기 때 식물의 주요 피난처로서 생물다양성 보존에 매우 중요한 지역이다. 백두대간보호지역 덕치-육십령 구간의 관속식물상을 조사하고 분포가 확인된 주요식물에 대해 논의하였다. 조사구간은 4개의 구간으로 나누어 2015년 3월부터 9월까지 각 구간별 총 3회 12일 동안 현지조사를 수행하였다. 확보된 표본은 대전대학교 생물학과 표본실(TUT)의 수장표본에 근거하여 관속 식물목록을 작성하였다. 본 조사에서 생육이 확인된 관속식물은 100과 265속 398종 9아종 32변종 2품종의 441분류군이다. 멸종위기야생생물로는 백부자 1분류군을 확인하였다. 한반도고유종은 세잎승마, 지리산개별꽃, 고려엉겅퀴 등 16분류군이었고, 식물구계학적 특정식물로는 V등급 2분류군, IV등급 4분류군, III등급 12분류군, II등급 24분류군, I등급 32분류군으로 총 74분류군이 조사되었다. 희귀식물로는 취약종(vulnerable, VU) 백부자, 느리미고사리를 포함하여 4분류군을 확인하였다. 귀화식물로는 애기수영, 소리쟁이 등 11분류군이 조사되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 백두대간보호지역의 보전 및 관리를 위한 기초자료로 사용될 것이다.

The effects of ethanol extacts of aconite root (Aconitum koreanum) on mean arterial pressure, heart rate, pulse pressure, and respiration were investigated and also studied the effect on electrical activation of the hypothalamus in cats. From the present experiment the following results were obtained. 1) On administering 5 mg or 10 mg aconite extracts per kg of body weight, the mean arterial blood pressure declined markedly possibly as the result of negative inotropic and chronotropic effects of aconite. 2) From the enhanced pressor responses to intravenously injected epinephrine, the existance of vasodilatory effect of the aconite was suggested. 3) After administration of aconite extract, no significant differences were observed in the presser responses to carotid occlusion and to electrical stimulation of the hypothalamus. It is, therefore, concluded that the aconite extract exerts no significant effect on the excitability of hypothalamus as well as medullary cardiovascular center of cats. 4) After administration of $5{\sim}10$ mg/kg aconite extracts, respiratory rate was increased while depth of respiration decreased. On the otherhand, respiratory rate was markedly decreased by injection of 20 mg/kg aconite into animal.

본 연구는 사명산의 관속식물을 조사하기 위해 수행되었다. 2013년 10월부터 2015년 7월까지 총 10차례에 걸쳐 조사한 결과 관속식물은 92과 308속 466종 3아종 62변종 7품종으로 총 538분류군이 조사되었다. 그중 산림청 지정 희귀식물은 백부자, 복주머니란, 개느삼 등 총 24분류군, 특산식물은 진범, 요강나물, 고려엉겅퀴 등 총 25분류군이 확인되었으며 식물구계학적 특정식물은 103분류군이 조사되었다. 귀화식물은 28분류군으로 확인되었으며 귀화율과 도시화지수는 각각 5.3%, 8.7%로 나타났다. 조사된 538분류군의 유용도는 식용 220분류군, 목초용 195분류군, 약용 167분류군, 관상용 65분류군, 목재용 25분류군, 염료용 8분류군, 섬유용 6분류군, 공업용 3분류군으로 나타났다.
