  • 고급복합재료(advanced composite material)는 여러 가지 훌륭한 장점에도 불구하고 건설기술자에게는 그 이론이 너무 복잡하여 건설구조에 대한 응용이 지연되고 있다. [$\alpha/\beta/\beta/\gamma/\alpha/\alpha/\beta$]r, $\alpha$=-$\beta$, $\gamma$=0$^{\circ}$ 또는 90$^{\circ}$ 와 같은 몇 가지 배향각을 갖은 적층판은, r이 증가함에 따라, $B_{i,j}$강성이 0으로 접근한다(1995). 건설구조물은 그 치수가 커서 r이 증가해도 지간 대 두께비가 충분히 커서, 횡방향 변형율(${\varepsilon}_{xz}$,${\varepsilon}_{yz}$)의 영향이 무시될 수 있다. 이 경우 판의 지배방정식은 간단한 특별직교이방성판의 식으로 변화된다. 김덕현은 토목구조물에 흔히 적용될 수 있는 이러한 배향각을 가진 적층판의 지배방정식을 취급이 간단한 특별직교 이방성 판의 경우로 변경시킨 다음 해석을 더 간단히 진행할 수 있도록 기술자들이 유사 등방성 상수(quasi-isotropic constant)를 사용하여 낮익은 등방성판의 방정식을 사용하여 답을 구한 다음 그가 개발한 "수정계수(correction factor)"를 사용하여 "정확한"해를 구하는 방법을 발표한바 있다(1991).는 방법을 발표한바 있다(1991).

Study on the Fiber Orientation and Fiber Content Ratio Distribution during the Injection Molding for FRP (FRP의 사출성형에 있어서 섬유배향상태와 섬유함유율분포에 관한 연구)

  • Injection molding is a very important industrial process for the manufacturing of plastics objects. During an injection molding process of composites, the fiber-matrix separation and fiber orientation are caused by the flow of molten polymer/fiber mixture. As a result, the product tends to be nonhomogeneous and anisotropic. Hence, it is very important to clarify the relations between separation orientation and injection molding conditions. So far, there is no research on the measurement of fiber orientation using image processing. In this study, the effects of fiber content ratio and molding condition on the fiber orientation-angle distributions are studied experimentally. Using the image processing method, the fiber orientation distribution of weld-line in injection-molded products is assessed. And the effects of fiber content and injection mold-gate conditions on the fiber orientation are also discussed.

펄스레이저를 이용한 $MgTiO_3$ 박막의 성장과 전기적 및 구조적 특성에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 마이크로파 유전체 소자로서의 응용 및 절연 산화막으로의 응용을 위해 마이크로파 유전체 세라믹으로 사용되어 온 MgTiO3 물질을 펄스 레이저로 박막을 제조하였다. MgTiO3 는 주로 고주파에서 높은 유전율을 갖고 높은 품질계수 (22.000 at 5 GHz) 혹은 낮은 유전손실을 갖으며 유전특성의 온도 안정성이 우수하여 유전체 세라믹 재료로 응용된다. MgTiO3 박막의 성장은 KrF(파장:248nm) 엑시머 레이저를 이용했으며 공정조건으로 박막의 성장온도는 500-75$0^{\circ}C$, 산소 압력은 10-5-200mTorr, 성장 후 냉각시 산소분위기는 200Torr, 레이저 에너지 밀도는 1.5-5J/cm2 등의 조건으로 박막을 성장하였다. MgTiO3 박막을 여러 가지 기판, 즉 Al2O3(r-plane), Si, Pt 위에 성장시켰으며 기판에 따라 에픽텍셜 혹은 다결정 상태를 갖는 ilmenite 구조로 성장되었다. PLD(Pulsed laser deposition)법에 의해 형성된 MgTiO3 박막을 보면, 우선 Al2O3(r-plane) 기판위에 성장된 경우 $700^{\circ}C$에서 에픽텍셜하게 성장하였으며, Si 기판 위에 성장된 경우 $650^{\circ}C$에서부터 (003)면으로 우선 배향된 단일상의 ilmenite 구조가 형성된다. Ptdnl에 성장된 경우 $600^{\circ}C$에서부터 (003)면으로 우선배향성을 가지며 $650^{\circ}C$에서 결정의 안정화를 이루었으나, MgTiO3 박막은 전기적 특성으로 유전특성 및 유전분산 특성 등이 측정 분석되어 MgTiO3 박막의 고주파 유전체로의 응용에 관한 가능성을 토의하였다.

졸-겔 법으로 증착된 ZnO 박막의 냉각 속도 및 후열처리에 따른 특성

  • 졸-겔 스핀코팅(sol-gel spin-coating)법을 이용하여 실리콘 기판에 ZnO 박막을 증착하였다. 증착된 졸 용액을 전열처리(pre-heat treatment) 후, 다른 속도로 상온까지 냉각시켰다. ZnO 박막의 특성 분석을 위하여 atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman, photoluminescence (PL)을 이용하였다. 전열처리 후 5$^{\circ}C$/min의 속도로 천천히 냉각시킨 ZnO 박막은 산맥구조(mountain chain structure)로 표면이 매우 거친 반면, 빠르게 냉각시킨 ZnO 박막은 매우 매끄러운 표면을 나타내었다. 빠르게 냉각시킨 ZnO 박막의 c-축 배향성(c-axis preferred orientation)이 느리게 냉각시킨 ZnO 박막의 배향성보다 더 우세하게 나타났고, 결정성도 우수하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 빠르게 냉각시킨 ZnO 박막의 광학적 특성이 느리게 냉각시킨 ZnO 박막의 특성보다 우수하게 나타났다. 후열처리(post-heat treatment)에 의해 ZnO 박막의 구조적 및 광학적 특성이 더욱 향상되었다.

Fabrication of Porous Al2O3 Ceramics Using Thermoplastic Polymer (열가소성 고분자를 이용한 다공질 알루미나의 제조)

  • Porous alumina ceramics with aligned plate-shaped pores were fabricated by using thermoplastic microsphere in order to show the anisotropy in thermal conductivity. The mixed powder of alumina and microsphere was pressed under 15 MPa till 20$0^{\circ}C$ to deform polymer into platelet-shape and sintered at 1,00$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. The sintered specimen with 10 wt% microsphere has 45.3% porosity and the bending strength of 44 MPa. The microstructural investigation confirmed the pore structure of platelet-shape, the thermal conductivities for vertical and parallel directions are 3.803 W/mK and 7.818 W/mK, respectively, the ratio between two directions exceeds 2.

  • In this study magnetic properties of anisotropic ferrite bonded magnets produced by extrusion molding with a variety of magnetic field, extrusion mold temperature and extrusion rate were investigated. X-ray diffraction study showed the alignment of magnetic powder was decreased by molten flow in extrusion mold. When the temperature of extrusion mold was $20^{\circ}C$, the degree of alignment as much as 82% could be achieved under the applied magnetic field of 4 kOe. The bonded magnets having the remanence of 2.2 kG was able to fabricated by extrusion molding when the packing density of Sr-ferrite powder was 50 vol%.

  • We propose a super-thin and light-weight liquid crystal cell, in which glass substrates are eliminated and polarizers are used as substrates. We fabricate a polarizer substrate by depositing a-SiOX as a buffer layer, indium-tin-oxide as a transparent conducting layer, and a-SiOX as an alignment layer on a polarizer sequentially at a low temperature. We use the ion-beam method to align liquid crystals on polarizer substrates.

  • Effects of casting Processes and lubricant addition were studied to improve remanence of 31RE-68TM-lB based sintered magnet by using axial pressing process. Strip casting was effective to get the fine and homogeneous microstructure without ${\alpha}$-Fe segregation. The strip cast flake resulted in narrower particle size distribution after jet milling with respect to the conventional cast ingot. During pressing step with a magnetic field, the particle alignment was increased by appropriate addition of liquid lubricant. In this study, it was revealed that narrow particle size distribution and appropriate addition of liquid lubricant were essential to improve the grain alignment and thus the remanence of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet.

  • The induction mechanisms of planar arrangements in cholesteric liquid crystals (CLC) which showed selective reflections of visible light were investigated by measuring the selective reflectivity and FTIR peak intensity of $C{\equiv}N$ stretching band. Although the planar arrangement of CLC was not as perfectly induced as the cases prepared with using alignment layers, it could be also induced by stretching polymer substrate or by applying shear forces. The planar arrangements were induced by forming CLC helical structures on top of liquid crystal molecules which were in contact with the substrate and oriented all in the same direction.

  • The mechanical properties and structure of degummed silk fiber stretched after being treated with 8M LiBr aqueous solution were investigated. The mechanical properties of degummed silk fiber were depended upon the treatment temperature of 8M LiBr aqueous solution. That is, the strength and elongation had a tendancy to increase with the temperature, whereas the Young's modulus tended to decrease. The X-ray diffraction pattern showed that the crystalline orientation was disordered by 8$0^{\circ}C$ treatment neverthless destruction of the crystallites did not occur. rho silk fiber could be successfully stretched up 160% under the condition of 8M LiBr aqueous solution at 80 * after immersed for 1hr. For the highly stretched sample(160%), the tensile strength and Young's modulus were significantly improved in spite of lower elongation at break. According to the examination of X-ray diffraction pattern and SEM, the orientation tends to be occured more and more with stretching ratio. From the DSC thermograms, it shows that the thermal decomposition behavior was different between untreated and treated specimen with 8M LiBr aqueous solution. The maximun endothermic peak of thermal decomposition tends to increase to high temperature with the increase of stretching ratio.
