Preparation Condition and Product Quality of Precooked Redbean Porridge (즉석팥죽 제조를 위한 가공조건 및 제품의 품질)

  • Precooked powder of redbean porridge (RP) was prepared by the series of process extrusion, drying, milling and blending with a mixture of whole redbean flour and corn starch and others. The optimum process and quality of products for RP were investigated. After extrusion under the moisture content 24 to 26%, twin screw speed 350 rpm, extrusion temperature 150 to $155^{\circ}C$ and feed rate 60 kg/hr, the product had a higher quality with its natural redbean flavor/color. During the extrusion process, extrusion temperature and specific mechanical energy increased from 150 to $198^{\circ}C$ and from 134 to 144 kwh/ton respectively, as the amount of addition water decreased from 6 to 2 kg/hr. By the hot air drying of redbean extrudate (RE). it could be dried below to 4% moisture content, of which level considered as an optimal moisture content for anti-caking of the powdered product, at $80^{\circ}C$ for 4hrs and at $100^{\circ}C$ for 1.5 hrs respectively. In the sieve analysis of extrudate powder, when the product milled through a mesh size of 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm, about 80% or 65% of the feed was passed a 65 mesh screen respectively. Moisture absorption of final blended products was formed a cake under 100% of relative humidity after 13 hrs of storage. As the amount of RE powder reduced, the flavor score of products decreased by sensory evaluation of products prepared by the different ratio of RE powder, corn starch and sugar.

디엔제3성분단위체(第三成分單位體)가 EPDM가황체(加黃體)에 미치는 영향(影響)

  • 이 논문(論文)의 목적(目的)은 열적안정성(熱的安定性) 및 내노화성면(耐老化性面)에 있어서 디엔제3성분단위체(第三成分單位體)(diene termonomer)의 각각(各各)의 종류(種類)가 EPDM의 중합체(重合體)의 성질(性質)에 미치는 효과(效果)를 구명(究明)하는데 있다. 제3성분단위체(第三成分單位體) 5종(種)으로 각각(各各) 다음과 같다. 즉, ethylidene norbonene(ENB), butadiene(BD), dicyclopentadiene(DCPD), methyltetrahydroindene (MTHI) 및 1,4-hexadiene(HD)이다. 이들을 써서 만든 각각(各各)의 EPDM은 동(同)몰의 불포화도(不飽和度)로 만들어졌다. 또한 가황계(加黃系)는 동일(同一)한 황/촉진제계(黃/促進劑系)를 사용(使用)하였다. ENB-EPDM이 순(純)고무배합체(配合體) 및 충전제함유배합체(充塡劑含有配合體)의 가황(加黃)에 있어서 모두 함께 가장 빠른 가황속도(加黃速度)를 보였다. HD-EPDM은 순(純)고무배합체(配合體)에서 가황속도(加黃速度)가 가장느렸으나 충전제함유배합물(充塡劑含有配合物)에서는 DCPD-EPDM보다는 발랐다. BD-EPDM을 제외(除外)한 이들 중합체(重合禮)는 거의 같은 초기가교밀도(初期架橋密度)를 갖는다. 가교밀도(架橋密度) 및 가교형(架橋型)을 분석(分析)하여 보면 BD-EPDM 쇄(鎖)에서 부타디엔 단위(單位)는 블럭을 이루고 있다. 또한 HD-EPDM은 순(純)고무가황체(加黃體) 및 충전제배합가황체(充塡劑配合加黃體)에 있어서 원가교결합(原架橋結合)의 50%가 monosulfide의 구조(構造)를 가지고있다. 이외(外)의 4종(四種)의 EPDM 폴리머는 보다 낮은 monosulfide구조를 가진다. $177^{\circ}C(350^{\circ}F)$의 노화온도(老化溫度)에서 ENB 및 HD폴리머는 약(約) 65% monosulfide 가교(架橋) 및 거의 동일(同一)한 파괴에너지값$(E_b)$을 가진다. 그러나 1,4HD의 원가교(原架橋)의 monosulfide 구조함량(含量)이 보다 높다고 해서 그의 내노화성(耐老化性)이 다른 폴리머보다 더 좋다고는 생각되지 않는다. DCPD는 $177^{\circ}C(350^{\circ}F)$의 노화온도(老化溫度)에서 똑같은 monosulfide가교(架橋)를 가지나 노화온도(老化溫度)가 $259^{\circ}C(500^{\circ}F)$로 높아짐에 따라 monosulfide 함량(含量)도 증가(增加)한다. $550^{\circ}F(287.7^{\circ}C)$의 노화온도(老化溫度)에서는 EPDM폴리머의 모든 가교(架橋)가 monosulfide구조가 되나 전가교밀도(全架橋密度) 및 $E_b$ (신장률(伸長率), 절단시(切斷時)의)는 대단(大端)히 낮은 것으로 나타나는데 이것은 산화(酸化)에 의한 노화(劣化)에 기인(基因)되는 것으로 보인다. 질소기류(窒素氣流)속에서의 TGA의 분석결과(分析結果)를 보면 EPDM 가황체(加黃體)는 $800\sim935^{\circ}F(427\sim502^{\circ}C)$의 온도범위(溫度範圍)에서 분해(分解)되며 공기중(空氣中)에서는 $750\sim935^{\circ}F$ 범위(範圍)에서 분해(分解)한다.

  • The Daehan Uiwon (Historic Site No. 248) in which the predecessor of Seoul National University Hospital is a crucial medical institution that built in the Korean Empire period. One of them, East 1 Affiliated Ward that attached to Daehan Uiwon was built with concrete foundation in 1908 and extended two times in 1935 and 1954. As a result of material scientific analysis for concrete foundation, all of the foundation is composed of mortar and stone aggregates, however, the mixing proportions between the aggregate and the mortar were confirmed to be different with construction periods. To determine the mixing proportion, and physical properties by ultrasonic velocity and rebound hardness, the concrete foundations by construction period were obtained. In result, 1954's mixing proportion of concrete between mortar and stone aggregate indicated the highest ratio of aggregates with 1 : 35, mean value of ultrasonic velocity and unconfined compressive strength were calculated with 450 m/s and 18.92 MPa in 1954's constructions that is the lowest values compared with other times. As a result, the difference characteristics of physical properties by construction periods are possible interpreted with porosities and mixing ratios of stone aggregates.

Mathematical Modeling of Degree of Hydration and Adiabatic Temperature Rise (콘크리트의 수화도 및 단열온도상승량 예측모델 개발)

  • Hydration is the main reason for the growth of the material properties. An exact parameter to control the chemical and physical process is not the time, but the degree of hydration. Therefore, it is reasonable that development of all material properties and the formation of microstructure should be formulated in terms of degree of hydration. Mathematical formulation of degree of hydration is based on combination of reaction rate functions. The effect of moisture conditions as well as temperature on the rate of reaction is considered in the degree of hydration model. This effect is subdivided into two contributions: water shortage and water distribution. The former is associated with the effect of W/C ratio on the progress of hydration. The water needed for progress of hydration do not exist and there is not enough space for the reaction products to form. The tatter is associated with the effect of free capillary water distribution in the pore system. Physically absorption layer does not contribute to progress of hydration and only free water is available for further hydration. In this study, the effects of chemical composition of cement, W/C ratio, temperature, and moisture conditions on the degree of hydration are considered. Parameters that can be used to indicate or approximate the real degree of hydration are liberated heat of hydration, amount of chemically bound water, and chemical shrinkage, etc. Thus, the degree of heat liberation and adiabatic temperature rise could be determined by prediction of degree of hydration.

  • Surface of exposed aggregate concrete pavements is consists of exposed coarse aggregate by removing upper 2$\sim$3mm mortar of concrete slab. Exposed aggregate concrete pavements have advantages of maintaining low-noise and adequate skid-resistance level during the performance period. In order to provide the successful exposed concrete aggregate pavement, uniform distribution of the coarse aggregate on pavement surface through adequate the mix design and exposing method. The mix design in concrete pavement is generally designed on the basis of strength, but mix design of exposed aggregate pavement employed in this study includes the consideration of noise and skid resistance, as well as strength. Smaller of maximum coarse aggregate is known to be effective for reduce noise level. Optimum mix design and exposing method of fine-size exposed aggregate portland cement concrete pavement that can reducing the noise and maintain the adequate level of skid resistance are proposed in this study. To consider the variation of optimum exposing time due to the hardening speed of mortar by climatic condition, quantitative is also suggested measurement of hardening state.

  • Effects of the cross-sectional dimension and moisture profile of wood specimens on the ultrasonic sound velocities of radiata pine heartwood and sapwood. Each moisture profile model specimen was made by composing five wood pieces with various moisture contents. As the cross-sectional dimensions decreased the ultrasonic velocities of both heartwood and sapwood decreased by 4~8%. In the ultrasonic signals transmitted through the specimens low frequency components more dominated than high frequency components as the dimension of cross section increased. The specimens with the same average MCs and different moisture profiles showed different ultrasonic velocities. By plotting the ultrasonic velocities against the average moisture contents of the inner three pieces of the moisture profile model specimens it was revealed that three distinct plot patterns existed.

  • 매스 콘크리트 구조물에서는 콘크리트 타설 후 시멘트의 수화열로 인한 온도응력에 의해서 온도균열의 발생 가능성이 매우 높다. 따라서, 매스 콘크리트 시공시, 온도균열을 구조물의 내구성 관점에서 최대한 억제시킬 필요가 있다. 최근에는 국내에서도 단위시멘트량이 많은 배합을 이용하는 고강도 콘크리트 구조물의 시공이 증가되고 있다. 이와 같은 매스 콘크리트 구조물은 단위시멘트량이 많기 때문에 부재내 수화열에 의한 온도의 상승 속도가 빠르기 때문에 시공에 앞서 사전에 설계, 재료 및 시공 측면에서 온도균열 제어 대책을 검토할 필요가 있다.(중략)

  • The present study examined the effect of the silica-based accelerating agents on the setting time and compressive strength gain of biomimetic glycocalix coating materials that has been developed for protecting the substrate of concrete exposed to chemical and microbiological attacks. The accelerating agent contents varied from 10mL/L to 40mL/L in the mixtures of glycocalix coating materials determined for shotcrete and lining techniques. Test results showed that the setting time of coating materials containing accelerating agents was affected by the contents of the bacteria carrier. When the accelerating agent content was 40mL/L, the final setting time was 80 minutes for shotcrete mixtures and 318 minutes for lining mixtures. Meanwhile, the compressive strength gain of coating materials with accelerating agents tended to be lower than that of counterpart materials without accelerating agents.

  • Six cigarette brands produced in Korea and U.S.A. were studied to find the effects of relative humidity, moisture sorption time, temperature, and the amounts of water extracts and total sugar in the brands on the equilibrium moisture contents. The equilibrium contents were higher in the domestic brands than foreign ones and the sorption rates of moisture were faster in the domestic cigarettes. The Korean brands with high contents of water extracts and total sugar had higher equilibrium moisture contents in the range of RH 40-80% at $20^{\circ}C$ for 72hours. These are the reasons that Korean brands contain higher ratio of flue-cured tobacco and American brands are blended with higher ratio of Burley tobacco.

Prediction of Concrete Corrosion using Electrodchemical Technique (전기화학적인 콘크리트 부식의 예측)

  • The effect of chloride content on the corrosion of reinforced bar in concrete was studied. The mixing ratio of the concrete was 1 : 1.78 : 5.35 : 4.73 (water : content : ballast : sand). The studied chloride content was in the range of 0∼3.5 wt%. The corrosion potentials were measured in every week for two years. The copper-copper sulfate electrode (CSE) was employed as a reference electrode. After two years, the corroded structure was examined and compared to measured corrosion potential. Any visible difference was founded in the specimen located indoor and outdoor. The chloride concentration enhanced rusting and reinforced bar, shifting the potential to active range. The results showed good argument with Van daveer criteria. In 3.5 wt% chloride, the potential shifted belong -350 mV after 58week. Specimen in 1.75 wt% chloride, showed the potential between -200 mV∼-350 mV. However those in free chloride solution maintained above -200 mV for the studied period. It can the concluded that the chloride enhanced corrosion of rebar in concrete and the electrochemical potential can be a promising corrosion monitoring technique.
