Regardless of which country, all public libraries need facilities, collections, and funds. But how well the library system succeeds depends on the staff committed to providing the highest possible level of service to the community. The public library, therefore, should employ the appropriate number of full-time staff. In order to warrant such a work force, this study analyzed the juridical justification, logical validity, realistic fitness, and usefulness of current legal and recommended staffing standards. This study also suggested the revisions of total space of buildings and collection size as crucial variables for library staffing, division of legal service populations, basic staffing level, and additional staff in proportion to service populations for public libraries in Korea.

This study has searched to find a program in order to manage simply and practically use the expelled AtoN database from the AtoN Simulator and to support the idea decision for the AtoN placement. It examines a program that manages AtoN database through the hierarchy structure, history card and endowment with condition same as a scenario. And accomplishes this study's goal owing to realizing AtoN operational software that helps for visual, hearing sense, fixed amount verification upon AtoN placement project. The AtoN operational software contributes not only flexible control like a newly establishment, relocation etc, but also supports idea decision for AtoN placement plan through many functions such as condition search, virtual sailing and fixed amount appraisal result exhibition, etc. Through utilization of this, it is to help upon the presupposition of the impact to ship or sailor about many designs and in addition, upon the judgment of whether or not for the efficiency and appropriation of the design. It is expected to reduce possible failure costs and management costs due to AtoN design and placement plans, because to compare more various designs thru the easier verification method.

In this study, the present deployment of the multiple wave energy converters (WECs) in a floating wind-wave hybrid power generation platform was estimated considering the interaction effect among WEC buoys. The interaction processes of multiple buoys were very complex, since scattered and radiated waves from each buoy affected the others in the array. The interaction analysis of the diffraction and radiation problem by the array of WECs was applied by matched eigenfunction expansion method (MEEM). The analytical solutions were compared with the results of numerical calculation based on WAMIT. The overall performance of 24 WECs installed in the hybrid power generation platform was evaluated by the q-factor representing the interaction effect among buoys.

A layout of regenerative liquid rocket engine using turbo pump has been designed for development of high performance liquid rocket engine. each components of engine system was placed by considering assembly and characteristic. first stage engine system is controled by one plane of axis gimballing and composed of four engine assembly to cluster with launch vehicle. second stage engine system is controled by two plane of axis gimballing and composed of one engine assembly. assembly and disassembly processes and required program have been developed. various shape of instruments were also developed for carrying out assembly and disassembly process efficiently

주문형 비디오 서버의 중요한 목표인, 동시에 보다 많은 클라이언트들의 요구를 만족시키기 위해서는 저장 매체 상에 비디오 데이터를 효율적으로 배치하는 것이 중요하다. 이와 같은 주문형 비디오 서버를 위한 배치정책으로서 디스크 그룹화를 통한 배치정책이 소개되었고 실험을 통해 기존의 배치정책들 보다 검색 성능이 향상됨을 보였다. 이 정책에서는 유사한 성능의 디스크들을 한 그룹으로 묶고 각 그룹마다 독립된 디스크 배열과 같이 취급하며 각 그룹의 성능을 고려하여 가장 적절한 비디오 데이터를 스트라이핑 시킨다. 이 정책에서 고려되어야 할 중요한 요소는 디스크들을 그룹화하는 과정에 있어서 각 그룹의 크기와 성능의 유사도를 어떻게 정할 것인지의 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 위와 같은 고려 요소들이 검색 성능의 향상에 미치는 영향에 대해 실험을 통해 밝히고자 한다.

정원(Garden)은 거주하는 주택과 외부공간의 전이공간 및 소통의 역할을 하고 있는 장소이며, 한국조경헌장에서 조경의 대상에 첫 번째로 거론되고 있는 중요한 조경계획의 대상이다. 조경학과 대학생들이 조경계획수업 시간에 처음 맞이하게 되는 주택정원설계에서 그들이 갖고 있는 정원에 대한 주제, 시설, 식재의 주요 사항들을 파악하고자 본 연구를 시작하였으며, 연구의 대상은 조경학과 대학생 2학년과정이며 시간적 범위는 2012년부터 2015년까지 4개년의 과제제출물을 대상으로 하였다. 대학생들의 정원설계작품을 살펴본 결과 첫째, 대학생들의 정원설계에서 사용되는 주요 주제는 가족과의 활동과 개인 취미생활, 자연에 관한 주제가 가장 많이 표현되었고, 이것은 정원안에서 개인과 가족과의 관계성을 고려하고 배려하는 곳이 정원이라는 인식을 갖고 있다고 보여진다. 둘째, 정원설계에서 조성되는 주요 시설은 휴양시설, 관리시설, 조경시설 순으로 배치되어 있으며, 일부 설계안에서는 교양시설과 유희시설이 조성되어 있었다. 셋째, 정원설계 작품의 식재경향은 교목위주의 식재가 많고, 관목과 지피와의 다층구조식재의 설계안은 몇 작품 보이지 않았으며, 독립식재와 군식 및 열식이 조화롭게 배치되지 못하고 있고, 지피류를 도입한 설계안이 많지 않았다. 오늘날의 정원설계는 다양한 디자인이 요구되고 있고, 근래 다수의 정원박람회에 출품되고 있는 정원작품 또한 디자인과 재료, 주제의 다양성이 풍부해지고 있다. 따라서, 대학생들의 정원설계과정에서 현재 학생들이 갖고 있는 주택정원에 대한 주요 요소에 대하여 다양성과 지속가능성을 높여줄 수 있는 효과적인 방향설정이 필요하다.

An arrangement of passive sonars is considered to be a fixed underwater surveillance system for detecting an anti-submarine consistently. An effectiveness score for optimizing the arrangement of passive sonars is defined in a function of the probability of detection and localization. These two features contain various probabilistic variations including seasons, sea states, depths of water, etc. Due to this reason, the effectiveness scores show probabilistic characteristics from the input of the arrangement of passive sonars. This paper defines the optimization problem having the results of probabilistic characteristics from various parameters of input conditions. Also, we suggest a simulation-based process of deciding the optimized arrangement of passive sonars using DPSO(Discrete binary version of PSO) method.
