An Investigation of Acoustic Excitation on Sooting Diffusion Flame (Soot 배출 확산 화염에 대한 음향 가진 효과 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 soot을 배출하는 층류 확산 화염에 대한 음향 가진(acoustic excitation) 효과에 대해 연구하였다. 최근의 연구결과는 soot 배출 화염에 음향 가진을 작용시키면 radiation은 증가하고 soot 배출은 감소한다는 사실을 밝혀주었다. 음향 속도(acoustic velocity)는 음향 압력(acoustic pressure)과 900 상(phase) 차이가 있기 때문에 acoustic driver를 장착한 유리 튜브 내부의 축방향으로 soot을 배출하는 아세틸렌 확산 화염을 이동시킴으로서 soot 배출 감소에 대한 음향 속도와 음향 압력의 상대적인 중요도를 밝혀낼 수 있다. Soot을 배출하는 아세틸렌 화염에 soot 배출이 멈출 때까지 음향 가진을 작용시키고 유리 튜브 안의 최대 압력 위치에서 음향 압력을 측정하며, 화염 위치의 음향 속도와 음향압력은 운동량 방정식과 파동 방정식을 통해 계산된다. 실험 결과 음향 속도가 최대이고 음향 압력이 최소인 위치에서 보다 음향 속도가 최소이고 음향 압력이 최대인 위치에서 훨씬 더 큰 acoustic power가 필요함을 보여주었다. Soot 배출을 멈추는데 필요한 음향 속도의 크기는 유리 튜브의 축방향에 대해 거의 일정한 반면 음향 압력의 크기는 상당한 변화가 있었다. 이러한 결과는 Soot 배출의 감소가 주로 음향 속도에 의한 것임을 강하게 시사한다고 할 수 있다. 또한 연료의 유량이 증가함에 따라 soot 배출을 억제하는데 필요한 acoustic power도 증가한다는 사실을 확인 할 수 있었다.

Comparison between Congestion Levels and Amount of $CO_2$ Emissions on Arterials (단속류 간선도로에서 지정체와 $CO_2$ 배출량 비교)

  • It has been presumed that the amount of vehicle's $CO_2$ emission would highly related to vehicle's cruising speeds on highways. In this study, it was tested if vehicle's $CO_2$ emissions would relate to the types of highways and the level of congestion. The results showed that the amount of $CO_2$ emission changes depending on (1) the vehicles' cruising speeds (b) congestion levels, and (c) the types of intersections. It was found that the vehicle acceleration and deceleration methods increases the amount of $CO_2$ emission up to 12%. It was also found that it changed up to 30% and 40% depending on the level of congestion and the types of intersections, respectively. The findings imply that the amount of $CO_2$ emission from vehicles should be improved when vehicles' cruising speeds are well managed through congestion management.

Effect of Exogenous ATP and ionic Concentration on the Activity of Contractile Vacuoles in Amoeba proteus (배양액의 ATP첨가 및 이온 농도에 따른 Amoeba proteus 수축포의 배출작용)

  • 담수산 대형 아메바인 각moeba proteus의 위상차 현미경 관찰 및 사진 분석을 통하여 수축포의 배출활동을 조사하f:다. Chalkley's 무기 염류 배양액에 첨가한 0. 1 mM ATP(disodium salt)에 의해 수축포의 배출속도는 270%로 증가하f:으며, 이 ATP의 효과는 Na+ 이온농도가 0.46mM 이상일 때 유효하였다. 실험용액의 NaGl 농도를 10 mM까지 증가시켰을 때 배출작용은 230%에 이르기까지 완만한 직선적 증가를 보였으며, 0.1 mM ATP를 첨가했을 때는 소폭의 NaCl농도 증가(0.50 mM)에 대하여 급격한 상승을 보였다. 이 배출 촉진은 Na+이온에 대해서 선별적으로 이루어졌으며 K+이온으로는 대체될 수 없었다. 배출속도는 Cac12를 제외한 Chalkley's 액에 50 $\mu$ M EDTA(disodium)를 첨가하였을 때에는 2900ye로 증가하였으며 , Caclf 농도가 증가됨에 따라 현격한 감소를 보였다. Chalkley's용액의 Cac12, NaCl을 함께 제외한 경우 배출속도는 대조군 수준에 미달된 데 비하여 0.2 mM Cac12, 10 mM NaCl첨가시에는 대조군의 180%였다. 아메바 수축포의 배출작용이 Na+이온 배출기구로 보고(Pottier efaf., 1987) 이들 결과를 종합해 볼때 아메바의 세포막에는 Na+ 이온의 투과수단으로 칼슘제거에 의해서 촉진확산되는 것과 Na+이온 농도증가에 따른 단순확산이 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Estimation the Critical Accelerations for Fuel Consumption and CO2 Emission When Starting a Passenger car (출발가속주행시 연료소모 및 이산화탄소 배출량 임계가속도 추정)

  • 과거 연료소모량과 오염물질 배출량을 추정하기 위한 연구에서는 주로 속도변수를 이용하였으나, 속도의 변화에 따른 연료소모량 및 오염물질 배출량의 변화를 올바르게 반영하지 못하는 문제점이 대두되었다. 이러한 문제점을 극복할 수 있는 대안으로 평가받는 것이 가속도이다. 이처럼 가속도 변수가 중요하게 다루어지고 있으나 여전히 연료소모량이나 오염물질 배출량과 관련하여 급가속을 판단할 만한 기준이 모호하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 연료소모 및 $CO_2$ 배출량을 증가시켜 급가속으로 판단할 수 있는 가속도 임계치를 추정하고자 하였다. 가속도 임계치 및 모형추정을 위해 LPG 중형 승용차량에 장착한 차량 정보 저장장치로부터 가속 주행실험시 수집한 실시간 데이터를 수집 분석하였다. 가속의 특성상 동일한 가속도라 할지라도 정지상태인지 여부에 따라 동일한 가속도에 대한 연료소모량, $CO_2$ 배출량이 상이하게 나타난다. 따라서 실험을 통해 정지상태에서 가속시 관성을 극복하기 위한 동력이 요구되는 속도의 범위를 확인하고 이중 출발 가속주행시 임계가속도를 도출하였다. 가속 주행실험 결과 연료소모 및 $CO_2$ 배출 증가량이 급격히 증가되는 임계가속도를 도출하기 위해 CART 분석을 이용하였으며, 그 결과 정지 상태에서 가속하는 경우 $2.598m/s^2$, 의 가속도가 연료 및 $CO_2$ 배출량을 크게 증가시키는 임계 가속도인 것으로 추정되었다.

GHGs Emissions Based on Individual Vehicles Speed (개별차량 속도기반 온실가스 배출량 산정 연구)

  • Purpose: Greenhouse gases are one of the major causes of global warming, a global disaster. This study aims to calculate road sector greenhouse gas emissions more precisely than conventional methods. Method: Currently, the average speed of a vehicle is used to calculate greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, GHG emissions are calculated using the speed of individual vehicles and compared with current methods. Result: It was confirmed that the existing emission estimation method underestimated about 15% in the case of carbon dioxide, about 1% in the case of nitrous oxide, and about 1% in the case of methane. Conclusion: Current methods of estimating greenhouse gas emissions were developed before 2000 and were developed to meet the limits of available data. However, with the advancement of technology, the quality of available data is now high, and new emissions estimation methods are needed. Therefore, in this study, we propose a method for estimating the velocity-based greenhouse gas emissions of individual vehicles as a more accurate method for calculating greenhouse gas emissions.

Research on CO2 Emission Characteristics of Arterial Roads in Incheon Metropolitan City (인천광역시 간선도로의 이산화탄소 배출 특성 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of C02 emissions by road before establishing a policy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Method: As for the analysis method, the traffic volume and speed of the road were estimated using the traffic Assignment model targeting 27 arterial road axes in Incheon Metropolitan City. And, after estimating CO2 emissions by road axis by applying this, the characteristics of each group were analyzed through cluster analysis. Result: As a result of cluster analysis using total CO2 emissions, CO2 emissions by truck vehicles, and the ratio of truck vehicle emissions to total carbon dioxide emissions, four clusters were classified. When examining the characteristics of each road included in each group, it was analyzed that the characteristics of each group appeared according to the level of impact by CO2 emissions and truck vehicles. Conclusion: It is judged that it is necessary to establish a plan in consideration of CO2 emission characteristics for road CO2 management for greenhouse gas reduction.

  • Purpose: Greenhouse gases are one of the major causes of global warming, a global disaster. In this study, the priority that affects when calculating the GHG emissions in the road sector is accurately calculated based on the speed of individual vehicles from the existing section average speed. I have the purpose of finding a possible factor. Method: A comparative analysis is conducted between the conventional method of the general passage section, the rest area section, the entrance section, and the confluence section of the highway and the speed-based emission calculation method of individual vehicles. Result: As a result of analyzing a total of 6 sections of the Gyeongbu Expressway, it was found that the standard deviation of the speed and the congestion of the sections had a great influence. Conclusion: When comparing the existing GHG emission calculation method with the speed-based emission calculation method of individual vehicles, it is clear that the speed-based method of individual vehicles is more precise. However, since it is difficult to apply it all over the country, this study compares the existing method with the speed-based method of individual vehicles and presents factors that have a significant difference.

  • Characteristics of heat release process, while the Wigner energy was drawn off the graphite during DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimenter) measurement as an example of annealing process which is one of release methods of Wigner energy that is contained in the irradiated graphite, was studied. Linear temperature rise method in DSC operation was selected to estimate the total Wigner energy content and the heat release rate of each graphite samples, which were located in several positions in the thermal column in KRR-2 research reactor. As an annealing process in DSC operation Wigner energy of the irradiated graphite samples were totally released by heat supplying to the graphite from room temperature to $500^{\circ}C$, in DSC. Characteristics of Wigner energy release from the graphite sample was well correlated with the various activation energy model of the kinetic equation.

  • A study on the purification of the surf clam Mactra Sulcataria REEVE for the remove of sand and fecal piles was conducted in the laboratory. The sand was mostly distributed around the inhalent and exhalent siphon, mantle and gill, and were also distributed in the digestive tract including the mid-gut gland. The sand particles in the digestive tract were extremely small and their sizes were about $180\times10\mu\;to\;550\times200\mu$. It could be seen that there was little, if any, difference in the rate of sand removal when either the hanging Purification method was used or the method of laying the surf clams in thick or thin layers on the bottom of the experimental vessel was used. The surf clam removed about $50\%$ of its sand during the first hour of purification. The weight of the removed sand and fecal piles on a dry basis reached a constant value after 22 to 26 hours of purification. After 42 hours of Purification, no sand could be seen in the fecal piles. The surf clam removed the sand in its body more rapidly when it was in sea water with the pH of 8.75 than when it was in natural sea water. Also high temperature had a much greater depressing effect upon the removal of sand In the surf clam than did natural sea water. Also low salinity had greater accelerating effect upon the removal of sand in the body than did natural sea water. However the surf clam died when the salinity was $8.19\%_{\circ}$.

  • In this research, engine performance and emission characteristics of a 12,000cc heavy duty diesel engine was investigated by the application of GTL and ULSD fuels. The test was conducted at several engine speeds and loads under a single mode and a ESC mode. GTL fuel proves that it can be applicable to vehicles without engine modification.
