  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between performance level and ego orientation and task orientation, which are sub-factors of achievement goal orientation, targeting the Korean youth badminton national team. Accordingly, two null hypotheses were established and tried to verify that there would be no difference in ego orientation and task orientation according to the performance level of the badminton youth representative players. A total of 92 middle and high school students were divided into upper and lower performance groups, and the differences between ego orientation and task orientation were investigated, respectively. For the measurement, We used sports achievement goal orientation (task and ego orientation in a sports questionnaire, TEOSQ). Data were analyzed by performing frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and independent t-test. As a result, there was no statistically significant difference in both the ego orientation and task orientation between the upper and lower groups of performance. We discussed based on the research results.

  • Seligman argues that an optimistic athlete wins based on a study of US professional baseball and professional basketball players.(trans. Choi, 2008). So, the purpose of this study was to investigate whether optimism can predict the performance of badminton youth representatives. 60 high school students were divided into two groups according to their performance. We used the revised Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) developed by Scheier, Carver and Bridges(1994) and translated into Korean version by Shin Hyun-sook(2005). For this study, the data were analyzed by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and independent t - test. As a result, there was a statistically significant higher level of optimism in the excellent group than in the non-excellent group. So, in order to improve sports performance, we need psychological skills training that can improve optimism as well as physical training and skills training.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between the leadership style of badminton life sports leaders and the performance of club members. A total of 600 badminton club members were invited to participate and 593 were selected for this study. For data analysis, mediating effects were verified through frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. For result section, first, it was found that training instruction behavior, authoritative behavior, and social behavior, which are sub-factors of the leader leadership type, have a positive effect on performance(p<.05). Second, it was found that training instruction behavior, which is a sub-factor of leader leadership type, had a positive effect on self-efficacy(p<.01), and that authoritarian behavior had a negative effect on self-efficacy(p<.01). Third, the mediating effect of self-efficacy was found indirectly in the relationship between leader leadership and performance(p<.001). Based on these results, it is judged that it will be easier to build a more effective training system if the direction for the leadership and guidance type of life sports is set by reflecting the needs of the participants.

  • The purpose of this study is to construct basic data for efficient technical training by investigating the difference in muscle activity during badminton technical movements involving jump motions similar to game situations. Seven male badminton players were randomly assigned to perform smash, drop, and clear techniques, and electromyograms were measured during the implementation of three technical movements. Measured EMG was calculated by RMS and one-way ANOVA was performed. The muscle activity of the smashing motion did not show any significant difference according to the site. In drop motion, activity of PM in the upper extremity muscles was lower than that of BC and ECR, and FCR activity was lower than that of EC. The activity of ECR was higher than that of PM and FCR. The activity of ES in trunk muscles was lower than that of RF and GM. RF activity of lower extremity muscles was higher than that of ES and BF. In clear motion, the activity of TC in upper extremity muscle was higher than FCR. The activity of ES in trunk muscles was lower than that of BF. RF activity of lower extremity muscles was higher than that of BF, and BF activity was lower than that of RF and GM. The activity of GM was higher than that of BF. As for muscle activity according to badminton skills, smash and drop motions were higher than clear motions in FCR, and clear motions were higher than smash and drop motions in RA. In conclusion, it is considered that muscle activity during the badminton game is different according to the characteristics of each skill, and FCR can affect the smash and drop, and RA can affect the clear motion.

  • Sports video is a very critical information resource. High-precision extraction of effective segments in sports video can better assist coaches in analyzing the player's actions in the video, and enable users to more intuitively appreciate the player's hitting action. Aiming at the shortcomings of the current sports video clip extraction results, such as strong subjectivity, large workload and low efficiency, a classification method of sports video clips based on MobileNetV3 is proposed to save user time. Experiments evaluate the effectiveness of effective segment extraction. Among the extracted segments, the effective proportion is 97.0%, indicating that the effective segment extraction results are good, and it can lay the foundation for the construction of the subsequent badminton action metadata video dataset.

  • This research got the following conclusion as result that analyzed high clear action kinematically to 4 C girls' junior high school badminton players who are situated in Chungchong-bukdo. 1. Most of the subject didn't rotate their right shoulder and elbow joint at back swing and moved speedy to shuttle cock. And an cooperation action of joint decreases displaying only a good action on both subject`s specification joint part. 2. When the subject S1 and S2 swing slowly and largely the joint of shoulder and elbow and then the speed of right wrist and racket head is fast, the cooperation action of joint is better than other subject. 3. An angle change of right shoulder showed angle that all subjects are great being caused in softness of joint and angular velocity was exposed that load enough Impact force and increase the speed of racket head as angular velocity decreases rapidly in Impact except subject S3. 4. All subjects of right elbow angle change showed similar form and was exposed that subject S2 sees form of impact stage serious bends from back swing and do not use force effectively in angular velocity. 5. Angle of right wrist appeared that the speed of shuttle cock is decelerated because fast bends of wrist is not formed shortly after Impact because all subject do not accomplish big angle shortly after back swing. Angular velocity can assume that the subject S1 and S4 are using and move fast strong snap shot offering angular velocity value of Impact stage sound (-). 6. While size of Impact stage knee angle accomplishes angle that is big both subject, hip joint angles sees small angle and is playing swing that do on upper body and arm without using strong waist force that is composition action with knee and hip joint.

  • This research aimed to enhance the effects of training through the use of infrared cameras located at anterior and posterior positions. The results were as follows. In the case of the smash, the impact time needed to be adjusted to raise their impact point. The smash of S1, on the other hand, was a step smash, which showed the fastest racquet head speed and the greatest transmission of power upon impact. As the max racquet speed upon impact and during speed was similar, S1 showed the best impact time. All athletes except S6 were shown to use their right foot as their 1 step that was located in front upon landing, using a hop step as their first step. For the best swing upon stroke, it is important to make the best conditions possible for the use of elbow joints and wrist joints. The rotating radius of the racquet should be big and the shuttlecock should be fast. Balance is important in footwork, or the coordinated movement of the feet. Without a correct step it is difficult to execute an efficient stroke. In an actual game, steps need to be executed in 2 to 4 steps, and programs focusing on steps according to situation, agility and reaction need to be executed.
