세밑이면 으레 신문과 방송에 단골로 등장하는 메뉴가 있다. 무엇이든 정리하는 것이 숙명인 언론은 한해를 가장 쉽게 요약해 독자에게 전달하기 위해 10대 뉴스를 선정, 발표한다. 상투적이고 식상한 듯 하지만 독자들의 귀와 눈이 되는 주요한 기사이다. 올해 디지털콘텐츠 산업에도 많은 변화의 바람이 불었다. 이에 <디지털콘텐츠>는 10대 뉴스로 한해를 정리해 봤다.

It has become five years since comprehensive programming licenses were rendered in Korea. Allocating a lion's share of their air time on live news and news commentaries, those channels have established a unique live production system or a broadcasting system which is heavily live production-oriented, to be exact. The live commentaries are filled with a mixture of news flashes, conventional news commentaries, and debates. Those channels get their news and commentary programs made through subsidiaries' where production directors and studio staffs belong. They, being very sensitive about viewer rating, tend to be aggressive about reruns of highly rated programs and they do not even seem to care when the regular programs actually went out. This kind of reckless strategy to pursue a higher viewer rating could limit not only new programming attempts but also exposure diversity.

This paper investigates audience perception on news content through comparison analysis on Comprehensive Programming Channels, TV chosun, JTBC, Channel A, and Terrestrial Broadcasting 'KBS'. How sensationalism created by video news affect audiences' credibility on news and media. The results shows that Comprehensive programming channels are assessed more sensational than terrestrial broadcasters by audience. Additionally, Comprehensive programming channels are assessed to get a lower credibility than terrestrial broadcasters by audience in the analysis of news and media credibility, comprehensive programming channels and terrestrial broadcasters. As a result, comprehensive programming channels showed lower news credibility and media credibility compared to that of the terrestrial broadcasters. This means that comprehensive programming channels must do the best not only recovering credibility from audiences but also constructing position as national broadcasting media.

While the practice of investigative journalism among public service broadcasters has declined in the 2010s, Newstapa, a nonprofit online news organization, emerged as a trustworthy provider of investigative reportage. This study explores the reasons why the realistic conditions for investigative journalism -- such as competent journalists, adequate support systems, and productive cultures -- were first realized and later changed among public broadcasters and in Newstapa. Governmental pressure and the public broadcasting managements' anti-journalism policy had a chilling effect on the production staff of public broadcasters. Their enthusiasm was affected and led to a decline in the production culture of discussion and teamwork. The staff's strong will to practice journalism and the persistence of a production culture that respected autonomy and guaranteed independence enabled Newstapa to become an influential investigative journalism institution in a relatively short period of time. This proves that meaningful investigative journalism is possible when the combined elements of competent and determined journalism practitioners, as well as a system supportive of extensive news gathering and independence of production, are in place. An investigative program is the outcome of ideal broadcasters' journalistic conditions and a vibrant and thriving production culture.

Television News has significant impact on the information analysis of viewers by delivering world news to anonymous individuals everyday. We need to pay more attention to resolution considering the fact that even slight facial expression and the dress of TV anchor can be noticed by viewers in the high definition age, called HD TV, by radical changes in broadcasting situation. As a result, the beauty of expression that lighting technology has is extremely important in the high definition age. In news broadcast, as a phenomenon according to this change in trend, people have been looking for change in order to break with traditional TV news production by adopting DLP(Digital Lighting Processing) or LED(Light Emitting Diode). This effort has contributed to creating proper picture quality appropriate for HD TV. Nowadays Digital imaging is creating new trend in TV news production method from traditional analog-based lighting environment thanks to the development of IT(Information Technology) and digitalized lighting equipment. This change has led to building of HD studio and appropriate sets and lighting system. There are film set and projector which projects image on the screen and PDP, LCD, and DLP which has been used widely in recent years and LED which is often used as background in news program as examples, which has appeared since 1990s with HD TV. In this article, I analyzed the KBS News 9 lnce 1990s with in order to research the influence of television image component on the alyzed the KBS of TV article, I. I wille uggest the category of TV anchor image formulation in delivering information by means of lnce 1990s with based on the analysis result.

This study investigated the news report tendency and frame by three major Korean television networks(KBS, MBC, and SBS) in their news reports on issues involving their own interests and considering in social level. The three issues chosen for this study are 'advertising regulations for total amount', 'the reallocation of 700MHz spectrum' and 'raising TV license fee'(this issue applicable only to KBS). By using content analysis method, this study identified extremely weighted tendency toward themselves by the network television channels. They have used highly biased tone and sources to reinforce their private interests in news reports about the three controversial issues. In terms of story content, the news reports have used attribution of responsibility frame dominantly in 'advertising regulations for total amount' issue, whereas the moral frame was dominant in the other two issues.

한국어는 교착어로 1개 이상의 형태소가 단어를 이루고 있기 때문에 텍스트 분석 시 형태소를 분리하는 작업이 필요하다. 자연어를 처리하는 대부분의 알고리즘은 영미권에서 만들어졌고 영어는 굴절어로 특정 경우를 제외하고 일반적으로 하나의 형태소가 단어를 구성하는 구조이다. 그리고 영문은 주로 띄어쓰기 위주로 토큰화가 진행되기 때문에 텍스트 분석이 한국어에 비해 복잡함이 떨어지는 편이다. 이러한 이유들로 인해 한국어 텍스트 분석은 영문 텍스트 분석에 비해 한계점이 있다고 알려져 있다. 한국어 텍스트 분석의 성능 향상을 위해 본 논문에서는 번역 전처리 기법을 제안한다. 번역 전처리 기법이란 원본인 한국어 텍스트를 영문으로 번역하고 전처리를 거친 뒤 분석된 결과를 재번역하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 한국어 뉴스 기사 데이터와 번역 전처리 기법이 적용된 영문 뉴스 텍스트 데이터를 사용했다. 그리고 주제어 역할을 하는 키워드를 단어 간의 유사도를 계산하는 알고리즘인 Word2Vec(Word to Vector)을 통해 유사 단어를 추출했다. 이렇게 도출된 유사 단어를 텍스트 분석 전문가 대상으로 성능 비교 투표를 진행했을 때, 한국어 뉴스보다 번역 전처리 기법이 적용된 영문 뉴스가 약 3배의 득표 차이로 의미있는 결과를 도출했다.

This study aims to provide intellectual access to TV content using faceted classification. In order to describe the content of news and current affairs programs, a faceted approach was explored. Based on the Ranganathan's PMEST formula, the basic facets - 'who', 'what', 'how', 'where', 'when' - and their sub-facets were created, specifically for describing the news genre. Additionally, the formal structure and the contextual features of the news genre were mainly considered for creating sub-facets. These created facets were applied to a news genre program. The result shows that these suggested facets are useful for representing well the contextual components of the news genre. The application of faceted classification is expected to improve the identification of the specific TV content.

방송 산업이 기술적 구조적으로 발전하고 시청자의 수준 향상 및 문화 산업이 급변함에 따라 현대사회에서 방송 분야는 거대 성장을 거듭하고 있다. 이러한 방송 산업의 시대적 변화속에서 지속적으로 관심의 대상이 되고 있는 것이 시청자들의 수준 및 변화의 초점이며 이를 파악하여 원활한 방송의 진행을 주도해야 하는 것이 방송 진행자의 역할이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 충북지역의 방송 3사에서 뉴스를 담당하고 있는 진행자에 대한 음성을 수집하여 다양한 음성 분석 요소들을 적용하고 이에 따른 결과값을 기반으로 방송 진행자의 음성에 대한 특징적 정보를 추출하는 실험을 수행하였다. 특히, 음성을 통해 전달할 수 있는 영향력을 분석하기 위해 피치, 지터, 짐머, 안정도, 및 스펙트로그램 등의 다양한 음성 분석 요소를 적용하였으며 결과값에 대한 비교, 분석을 수행하였다.

This study conducted a frame analysis of the news reports of Chonbuk bus strike broadcasted via local broadcasting companies of the Jeollabuk-do. The results showed that all Chonbuk local televisions gave more emphasis on 'episodic' frame by emphasizing demonstrations and struggles between capital and labor. In the case of content frames, news reports did not present the solution or an alternative of the strike, and the democratic process frame or the institutional improvement frame was not embossed. Therefore, local television news of Chonbuk bus strike was insufficient in reporting causes and backgrounds of the strike. Also, it displayed existing press routine in reporting the issue of social conflict such as a bus strike.
