Changes in media technolgy affect the competitive status of broadcasting networks as news media. The competitive media environment has pushed broadcasting network news programs to find new ways for leveling their qualitative performance up and rating. This study focuses on the empirical relationship between the two key value, news quality in terms of fairness and in-depthness and news ratings. This study is based on the analysis of broadcasting network news texts and individual news item raitngs. Empirical relationship between news quality factors and ratings was proved positive. But the relationship between the length of news item and rating was proved negative.

Recently smart device(such as smart phone and tablet PC) become a role as an information gateway, using of the web news by multiple users from the web portal has been more important things. However, the quantity of creating web news on the web makes hard to catch the information which the user wants and confuse the users cause of the similar and repeated contents. In this paper, we propose the news recommend system using the document summarization based on KoBART which gives the selected news to users from the candidate news on the news portal. As a result, our proposed system shows higher performance and recommending the news efficiently by pre-training and fine-tuning the KoBART using collected news data.

뉴스나 드라마, 영화 등의 비디오에 대한 검색 시 일반 사용자의 요구에 가장 잘 부합되는 결과를 얻기 위해 비디오 데이터의 의미적 분석과 색인을 만드는 것이 필요하다. 일반적으로 음성신호가 비디오 데이터의 내용을 잘 나타내고 비디오와 동기가 이루어져 있으므로, 내용기반 검색을 위한 비디오 데이터 분할에 효율적으로 이용될 수 있다 본 논문에서는 캡션 정보가 주어지는 방송뉴스 프로그램을 대상으로 효율적인 검색, 색인을 위한 비디오 데이터의 분할에 음성인식기술을 적용하는 방법을 제안하고 그에 따른 실험결과를 제시한다.

대중들에게 정보를 빠르고 정확하게 제공하는 대표 매체인 뉴스 기사는 일 평균 1만 5천 건 이상이 보도되고 있다. 특정 주제 또는 분야에 대한 전반적인 동향을 파악하고자 대량의 텍스트 데이터를 수집하여 텍스트 마이닝(Text mining)과 머신러닝 등을 적용하는 연구들이 활발하게 수행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 서울시의 이슈 및 문제를 파악하고자 약 5년간 뉴스 기사를 수집하여 키워드 분석 및 토픽 모델링을 적용하였다. 분석 결과 5년간의 뉴스 기사에서 빈번하게 출현하는 키워드들을 도출하였고 연도별로 도출된 키워드들을 비교분석하였다. 또한 토픽 모델링 적용 결과 뉴스 기사를 구성하는 20개의 주제를 도출하였으며 이를 기반으로 서울시의 주요 이슈들을 파악할 수 있다. 본 연구는 연도별, 분야별 세부 내용 및 시계열 분석, 다른 도시들의 이슈 및 문제를 도출하는데 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

본 연구에서는 재난문자에 대한 뉴스양과 주요 이슈에 대해 알아보았다. 뉴스 빅데이터 서비스인 빅카인즈를 통해 분석을 실시한 결과, '재난문자' 관련 뉴스가 2016년에 186건으로 전년대비 약 18.6배 증가하는 급격한 성장세를 보였다. 이후 '재난문자' 관련 뉴스는 높은 수치를 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 지진이 다른 재난에 비해 많은 비중을 차지하였지만 지진이 다수를 차지한 2016년 대비 2017년과 2018년은 지진 외에 다양한 재난에 대해 다루어졌다. 그리고 '재난문자' 연관어 중 행정안전부(국가안전처, 행안부 용어 포함)가 가장 비중 있게 다루어졌고, 기상청과 국민도 비중 있게 다루어진 용어로 나타났다.

본 논문에서는 포털 사이트에 게재된 뉴스 기사 집합에서 이슈가 된 키워드들을 자동으로 추출하는 시스템을 소개한다. 포털 사이트에서 사용하는 기존의 키워드 추출 시스템은 검색 횟수를 기반으로 하고 있으며, 뉴스 기사에서 단어 간의 상대적 중요성을 반영하지 못하고, 외부로부터 영향을 받아 순위 조작과 같은 문제점을 수반할 수 있다. 제안하는 시스템에선 TF-IDF 모델을 사용하여 단어 간의 상대적인 중요성에 기반하고, 추출된 키워드들의 시각적 변화를 반영하여 이슈 키워드를 추출한다. 제안한 시스템의 효용성 확인을 위해 58,996 개의 정치 뉴스 기사를 수집하였으며, TF-IDF 기반의 제안 방식과 TF 기반의 기존 방식을 비교하였다. 제안한 시스템이 기존 방식보다 시간에 따른 정치 뉴스의 이슈 변화를 분석하는 데 효과적인 것을 확인하였다.

TV뉴스 영상은 다루고 있는 대상의 범위가 넓어 뉴스의 주제를 나타냄과 동시에 그 이외의 내용도 포함한다. 또한 소재의 재이용이 가능하기 때문에 뉴스의 내용에서뿐만 아니라 영상 자체가 표현하는 내용에서도 검색이 가능해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 TV뉴스의 영상을 색인하기 위해 종래 사용되던 뉴스의 나레이션, 캡션뿐만 다니라 영상 자체를 대상으로 하여 색인어를 추출하는 방안에 대해 논하였다. 연구에서는 $\ulcorner$KBS 뉴스 9$\lrcorner$을 예로 들어 영상내용정보, 나레이션과 캡션정보, 방송정보. 촬영정보로 나누어 색인어를 부여하였다.

This study explored news coverage on the sex crimes and analyzed news by network analysis and frame analysis based on the layered model to compare news coverage on the celebrity. As a result, in case of celebrity the broadcasting focused more and the tone of news is more sensational. The news in ground wave broadcasting more detailed on the sex crimes. It blamed the An, the governor of Chungnam more and the news is more sensational by interviewing marginal man. In #Metoo case, broadcasting news focused on the offender. The title of case name and the headline are framed based on the offender. Especially consensual relationship frame is dominated in the sex crime news. This study also can see the offender blaming frame and in the viewpoint of agenda-setting. It is difficult to find the cause of #Metoo movement and the structural approach on the case. This study highlighted the importance of layed model when analyzing the sex-crime news related with #Metoo movement.

The starting point of this study is an examination of the vital role of terrestrial broadcasting in Korean society, where ethnic minorities have increasingly become visible. Korean terrestrial broadcasters' mandate emphasises the broadcaster's responsibility to represent and reflect the range of public opinion and experiences beyond class, age, ethnicity and ideological orientation. The main purpose of this study is to visually examine the means through which terrestrial broadcasting generates discourses of We-ness and Otherness at times of change in the Korean society. The study focuses on prime-time broadcasting news programmes' visual representations of migrants and ethnic minorities.
