As the representative of the convergence of broadcasting and communication, the data service was expected to be a new profit source of the related industries. The data service, however, has not satisfied the expectation due to the short of killer services that make it popular with the viewers. According to the several survey reports, a lot of viewers do internet-searching using the key-words related to the TV program they are watching and, with the faith in the survey results, several trials has been performed to port established PC-based searching systems onto TV-set only to fail to get popularity among viewers. The failures are mainly caused that they did not sufficiently consider the viewers' modality that viewers seriously want not to be obstructed by anything when they are absorbed in a program. This paper proposes an MHP-based searching data service designed to minimally interrupt the viewers watching a TV program and to be synchronized with a TV program by using the searching key-words relative to it, the content of which changes as time goes on.

우리는 전파를 기반으로 하는 유비쿼터스 통신 시대를 향해 살고 있다. 새로운 통신 시대를 꿈꾸며 살아가는 현대인은 거의 매일 무선 통신을 이용하고 있으며 그것을 가능케 하는 안테나 기술은 눈부시게 발전하고 있다. 그러나 요즘처럼 무선 통신 서비스가 다양해지고 전파가 전파(propagation)되는 환경은 열악해지고 있는 상황에서 무선통신의 품질은 안테나의 성능에 좌우된다. 또한 통신방송융합서비스가 가시화되면서 더욱 성능이 우수한 안테나 모델을 개발하기 위해 다양한 기술적 접근이 시도되고 있다. 본 기고에서는 지상파 DMB 단말기로 대표되는 통방융합 무선통신 단말기에 적합한 소형 안테나 기술, RF 및 밀리미터파 시스템의 소형화, 고효율화, 집적화 추세에 따른 능동형 안테나 기술, 소형화된 다중대역 안테나 기술, 그리고 신소재 응용 안테나에서 재구성 안테나 기술까지 다양한 안테나 기술의 동향을 살펴보고자 한다.

Recently the navigation service and LBS (Location based Services) using map supports much information services on mobile terminal. Also Internet Web sites support user much information. But, the user has the difficulty for acquiring the service and the various information based on map because of searching the many Internet sites. Accordingly, this paper supports a convergence information service model of various culture, education, tourism, sport and traffic for accessing synthesizing information based on map. And we design and implement this model using 공개 API. We present a convergence information service model of culture, tourism, sport and bus line information form tour destination and cultural place of Jeju province using the model. Additionally, we develop this service model using apache web server on Linux environment, PHP and JavaScript, MySQL database and Map 공개 API. As this service model supports a convenience action of culture and tourism for Jeju islanders and tourists.

One of the key words that represent the culture and social phenomena in this 21st century is 'Digital Convergence'. Presently our society is going through the second evolving phase of the convergence, integration between industries. Integration between industries refers to the phenomenon of integrating various industrial areas such as broadcasting, communication, finance, automobile, and medical treatment as the range of IT utilization becomes extended. The telecommunication-broadcasting bundling is a typical example of integration between industries. This study analyzed the effect of the service features of the bundling on the customer's acceptance intention by applying the innovative technology product acceptance model, TAM, in the process of accepting the telecommunication-broadcasting bundling. This study suggests three independent variables, the 'low cost(discount)', 'service integrity', and 'selectability', which affect perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived risk, and figures out the actual influence as follows. In conclusion, these results suggest that in order to accept and spread the telecommunication-broadcasting bundling, it is necessary to establish (1) the cost discounting strategy realize (price strategy), (2) the fee noticing system, payment system, call-service system, and systemic integration including installation and A/S system integration, and develop (service strategy), (3) the bundling or related options that can provide users with selectability (product strategy).

3DTV는 향후 모노스코픽 TV(2DTV)를 대체할 차세대 방송 서비스로 인식되고 있다. 이는 시청자에게 입체감을 제공함으로 인해 기존 모노스코픽 TV에 비해 보다 현장감과 현실감 있는 TV 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 전송측면에서 보면 3D 서비스를 위해서는 하나 이상의 시점에서 촬영된 영상이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 모노스코픽 TV에 비해 전송 용량의 증대를 가져오므로 이를 효율적으로 전송하기 위한 방안이 강구되어야 한다. 본 기고에서는 지상파 방송망과 방송과 통신의 융합 서비스로 불리는 IPTV 망을 연동하여 3D 서비스를 제공하기 위한 전송 방법에 대해 간략하게 소개한다.

하이브리드라디오는 지상파 라디오방송(FM/DAB/DAB 등)과 인터넷망을 포함하는 통신망을 연결하여 단방향이라는 지상파방송의 한계를 극복하고 양방향을 구현하는 것으로 스마트폰을 중심으로 유럽과 미국 등지에서 보급되고 있다. 많이 사용하는 스마트폰에서 지상파 라디오방송(FM/DAB/DAB+ 등)을 수신하여 라디오의 활용을 높이기위한 서비스이다. 국내에서는 신규로 출시되는 스마트폰에 부터 FM 방송을 수신할 수 있도록 할 전망이다. 이 또한 하이브리드라디오는 지상파방송이 수신이 안될 경우 인터넷망으로 전환하여 IP 스트리밍 방송으로 계속 사용할 수 있고, 다양한 데이터를 통신망으로 전달하여 사용할 수 있다. 유럽은 radioDNS 라는 곳에서 하이브리드라디오관련 표준을 제정하고 있다. 여기서 표준화되었거나 진행중인 서비스에 대해 간략히 소개하고, 활용가능한 서비스 모델들에 대해 설명한다. 하이브리드라디오를 도입시 고려해볼 사항에 대해서도 생각해 보고 또한 하이브리드라디오와 유사한 방송과 통신의 융합 서비스인 스마트 DMB 에 대해 설명하고 대해 설명하고자 한다.

통신시장이 최근 격변에 휩싸여 있다. 다양한 신규 통신 서비스의 등장으로 기존 통신시장 구도의 파괴, 유선과 무선의 통합, 방송과 통신 그리고 금융과 통신의 융합 등 통합시장 전반에 걸쳐 지각변동이 일어나고 있다. 이러한 변화의 한복판에서 가장 주목 받고 있는 것이 휴대인터넷(Portable Internet)이다. 휴대인터넷은 이동환경에서 2.3GHz 주파수 대역을 이용해 휴대형 무선단말기로 고속 인터넷 서비스를 제공 받을 수 있는 신규 통신 서비스를 일컫는다. 서비스 개시 5년 이내에 3000억원 이상의 매출 달성이 가능할 것으로 예상된다. 이에 따라 최근 사업자 선정을 앞둔 시점에서 통신사업자들간의 사업권 획득을 위한 치열한 신경전이 전개되고 있다.

It is difficult to found the concept of public interest properly, being ambiguous to distinguish media and service as to the convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications. Accordingly, it is necessary to found the concept of public interest not related to the character of media and service in the age of digital convergence. Therefore this study intended to re-found the concept of public interest, as to industrial changes in the age of convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications. The convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications causes the changes of value chain, which includes contents, platform, network, terminal. It could not help avoiding modifying the industrial structure of broadcasting and telecommunications, because of the changes of value chain. The changes of industrial structure needs the changes of ideology, regulatory policy, regulatory system, and it creates the foundation of new regulatory idea. The purpose of regulatory idea in the age of digital convergence is to practice public interest, and it is an ultimate purpose to increase consumers' welfare. Consequently, for increasing comsumer' welfare, it is necessary to achieve diversity, fairness, objectivity, the preservation of social value in the aspect of contents. Also in the aspect of platform, it is necessary to achieve the protection of privacy, consumer protection, harmful information blocking, and in the aspect of network, it is necessary to achieve the maintenance of secure network, fair competition. Finally, in the aspect of terminal, it is necessary to achieve the maintenance of compatibility, the solution for digital divide. Then regulatory policy of each value chain from a legal and institutional perspective, should be promoted to provide public interest, step by step.

디지털방송이란 방송 콘텐츠의 제작, 전송 및 재현에 이르는 모든 과정을 디지털화 함으로써, 고품질의 방송 프로그램 및 다채널 서비스를 실현하고 통신방송 융합형 서비스를 포함한 다양한 부가기능을 제공하는 방송 기술로 정의된다. 디지털방송의 주요 특징은 다음과 같다. ㆍ현재 아날로그TV보다 5∼6배 선명한 고선명(HD) 영상과 CD급 고음질의 음향을 제공함 ㆍ기존의 방송 프로그램뿐만 아니라, 영상, 음성, 음향, 문자, 그래픽 등 다양한 형태의 멀티미디어 정보를 TV수상기, 컴퓨터 모니터, 휴대전화 등 여러 가지 수신 단말을 통하여 받아볼 수 있음ㆍ방송 통신망 연동, 방송 단말의 지능화 기능 등을 통하여 시간, 공간적 제약없이 언제, 어디서나, 누구든지 시청자 개인 취향의 프로그램을 자유롭게 이용할 수 있으며, 시청자가 방송에 직접 참여하는 양방향 서비스가 가능함 ㆍ양방향 데이터 방송, TV전자상거래, T-Government 등 멀티미디어 부가서비스를 이용하여 디지털 인프라간 통합의 구심점 및 정보플랫폼(Home Gateway) 역할을 수행함.(중략)

텔레매틱스는 운전자에게 도로나 교통정보를 자동차 네비게이션 시스템이나 통신 시스템을 통해서 제공해주는 서비스이다. 이러한 서비스는 유비쿼터스와 융합이라는 시대적 패러다임으로 인해 더욱 부각되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 움직이는 차량 또는 이동 가능한 단말에서 멀티미디어 서비스를 가능하게 하는 DMB 기술과 융합된 텔레매틱스 서비스를 설계하고 그 구현 기법을 소개한다. DMB 용 멀티미디어 컨텐츠에 실시간 교통정보를 제공하는 TPEG 컨텐츠를 융합하기 위해서 MPEG-4 시스템에서 TPEG 객체를 인식하도록 서버 및 단말 단을 설계하고 실험 결과를 통해서 DMB 시스템을 기반으로 한 텔레매틱스 서비스가 가능함을 보인다.
