Study on the Development of Snowfall Retrieval Algorithm using CloudSat and Passive Microwave (CloudSat와 수동 마이크로파 자료를 결합한 강설 추정 알고리즘 개발에 관한 연구)

  • 한반도 지역의 강설(snowfall)은 전체 연 강수량의 약 10% 이하로 매우 적은 양을 차지하고 있다. 하지만 강설은 대기질(air quality)을 개선하고 산불 발생률을 저감시키며, 특히 봄철 수자원의 제공과 가뭄피해 경감 등 수문학적으로도 중요한 기능을 가진다. 하지만 최근 기후변화로 인해 폭설 현상이 빈번하게 발생하여 사회 경제적 손실을 유발하고 있다. 따라서 강설로 인한 피해를 최소한으로 줄이기 위해서는 정확한 강설탐지 및 강설 추정 방법이 필요하다. 최근 해외의 수많은 연구들을 통하여 수동 마이크로파 센서 자료를 활용한 강설 추정의 가능성이 확인되고 있다. 하지만 수동 마이크로파 센서의 휘도온도를 이용한 추정 방법들은 대기의 연직 구조 파악에 어려움이 있기 때문에 정확한 강설량을 추정하는 데에 한계가 있다. 그러나 2006년 발사된 CloudSat의 Cloud Profiling Radar는 강설의 연직 프로파일에 대한 가치 있는 정보를 제공하기 때문에 수동 마이크로파 센서 자료와의 결합을 통해 보다 정확한 강설 추정 알고리즘을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 CloudSat의 Cloud Profiling Radar (CPR) 자료와 수동 마이크로파 센서인 NOAA의 Microwave Humidity Sounder (MHS) 센서 자료를 결합하여 한반도 강설 추정에 적합한 알고리즘을 개발하고자 한다.

  • In order to ensure the individual and mutual performances among the telemetry system, tracking system, flight termination system, GPS, and inertial navigation & guidance system which are installed in the KSLV-I 2nd stage and ground equipment of the Naro space center, flight test using a light airplane is required. Since the high degree of test efficiency is fulfilled through the minute plan and analysis about selection of the equipment which are applicable to the test, harness, operation strategy, and antenna installation. KSLV-I communication environment and flight profile should be precisely taken into account during the flight test. In this document, overall aspect of the KSLV-I 2nd stage equipment specification, a rack for the installation, harness, the airplane specification, and flight route which are required for the effective flight test are presented.

  • 본 연구는 두만강 유역국가(북한, 중국, 러시아) 및 인접국가(한국, 몽골, 일본) 간의 협력과정과 현안을 1991년부터 현재까지 광역두만강개발계획(Greater Tumen Initiative: GTI)을 통해 검토함으로써 동아시아에서 지역개발계획을 통한 공동의 이익창출과 공유가능성을 짚어보고 정책적 시사점을 찾고자 한다. 분석이론으로 이익공유(Benefit Sharing)이론을 적용하여 국제하천에서 한 유역국가가 독단적인 계획과 사업을 통하여 얻는 이익보다 모든 유역국가의 참여를 바탕으로 추진하는 지역개발을 통한 이익이 더 크다는 점을 확인하고자 한다. 두만강 유역은 1991년 UNDP 주도 하에 두만강지역개발프로그램(Tumen River Area Development Program: TRADP)을 시작으로 지역개발협력이 진행되어 2005년 광역두만강개발계획으로 발전되었으나 2009년 북한의 GTI 탈퇴, 리더쉽 부재, 재원부족 등으로 현재 답보 상태에 빠져있는 실정이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 프로그램 진행 과정 속에서 회원국 간의 공통 관심사항을 도출하고 직간접적으로 동아시아 평화안보 구축에 도움을 주었으며 교통, 물류, 에너지, 관광 및 환경 관련 사업을 추진하여 동아시아 공동 지역개발의 단초를 마련하는 성과를 거두었다. 아직 풀어가야 할 숙제가 많지만 GTI는 2014년 이후 본격으로 추진하고 있는 국제기구로의 전환을 통해 새로운 전기를 마련하고자 노력하고 있다. 또한 GTI는 북한 핵무기 개발과 미사일 발사 등으로 경직되어있는 동북아 상황을 완화하고 현 정부의 신북방정책의 발전을 위한 교두보 역할을 할 수 있을 것이며 역내 국가 간 협력을 지속적으로 추진할 수 있는 밑바탕이 될 수 있을 것이다.

  • The most prominent phenomenon in performing arts in recent is the social sharing of art products. As a result of the city's reinterpretation of each local government, production of performances, activation of performances outside the theater, and performances performed in streets and specific spaces and public spaces deviate from traditional theater-based performance forms through social communication and expansion. Also, it is seen as an effort to expand the delinquency of the act. Furthermore, it can be said that this proves the publicity of contemporary performing arts. I will research the audience and learners through the Opera Estate festival, a recent exhibition in the Balsano del Grappa, Italy, which is based on the site-specific performance form that has been actively conducted several years ago.

  • This study describes the design and implementation of power supply of dehop/rehop transponder of EQM(Engineering Qualification Model). We materialized the interface of the PLDIU and power supply of a satellite bus, and minimized the potential for the occurrence of such erroneous operation circuit ESD through the WCA of the space environment. We designed a reliable power supply through simulation for TID about space radiation and simulation of the vibration generated during it launched, and we confirmed that it satisfies the environmental test specification through the test space environment after production.

  • Modeling and simulation(M&S) method are used to quantify the weapon effectiveness. The weapon effectiveness of artillery shells was also partially studied, but there was a lack of research on the effects of the choice of charge. Therefore, this paper presents an artillery shell's EFD(Expected Fractional Damage) calculation model based on the charge and identifies differences in the weapon effectiveness of 3D building targets according to the selection of the charge. First, the input data of the calculation model was collected and a required number of shoots was calculated to achieve the desired effects using the proposed model. Finally, a paired sample t-test was conducted to verify the proposed model.

  • The performance of satellite parts must be verified under the space orbit environment before the launch. This paper develops a model formula considering the thermal environment such as conduction, radiation, heat loss and internal heating between satellite parts and a small thermal vacuum chamber for thermal vacuum tests. System identification is carried out using test data from 20 recent thermal vacuum tests conducted by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute. It is verified that the model formula and the identification results are valid, except when the heating of the functional test of the test specimen is not constant.

  • The Counter-battery radar estimates the origin and impact point of the artillery by tracking the trajectory of the shell. In addition, it has the ability of identifying the type of weapon. Depending on the position between the shell and the radar, the detected signals appear differently. This has ambiguity to distinguish the type of shells. This paper compares fuzzy logic and artificial intelligence, which classifies type of shell using the parameter of signal processing step. According to the research result, artificial intelligence can improve identification rate of type of shell. The data used in the experiment was obtained from a live fire detection test.

  • This study aims to provide basic design data for a pintle injector and its combustion device through case study on the research and development of combustion devices to which a liquid-liquid pintle injector was applied. From data analysis, it was possible to provide the initial dimension of the combustion chamber and pintle injector based on the engine thrust, and the geometric characteristics of the high-efficiency injector. In addition, the pintle tip heat damage prevention mechanism and materials, face-shutoff pintle injector implementation method, and central propellant selection criteria were summarized. Theses results will be used as basic data for the design criteria of an initial pintle injector combustion device.

  • This paper introduces a modified Karagozian & Case concrete model (K&C model) for the numerical analysis of a steel-fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) structure subjected to projectile impact. The original K&C model was calibrated to consider the effects of steel fibers accurately by modifying the strength surfaces and input parameters. Single element tests were then conducted and compared with uniaxial and triaxial compressive data to verify the modified model. With the application of a dynamic increase factor, the finite element model of the SFRC structure subjected to projectile impact was constructed. Thereafter, the applicability of the modified material model was examined by comparisons with the experimental results.
