Characteristics of Nutrient Removal with Variation of the Anoxic-Oxic Phase Repetition in Sequencing Batch Reactor Process (SBR공정의 무산소-호기 구간반복에 따른 영양염류 제거 특성)

  • This study was performed to investigate the characteristics of nutrient removal by Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) system, which could achieve high removal efficiencies of nitrogen and phosphorus and make it possible convenient management and operation. In this study, dissolved oxygen (DO), chemical oxygen demand (COD), nitrogen, and phosphorus in SBR system were examined by variation of anoxic-oxic phase repetition in order to optimize an operational method. The 1~4 times of anoxic-oxic phases (Run 1~4) were repeated during 1 cycle operation period. As the repetition frequency increased, it was more difficult to maintain DO condition enough for denitrification. The SBR system showed high COD removal efficiency more than 91% regardless of operational condition. About 68% of nitrogen removal rate was obtained in conditions of 2 or 3 times repetition of anoxic phases, in which NOx-N among discharged total nitrogen account for more than 99%. Approximately 40% of phosphorus was eliminated in the conditions of 1~3 times of anoxic phase repetition.

  • 원자력발전소의 전열관 보수용접 기술 개발을 위해 Inconel 600 재질의 plate 판에 레이저 용접실험을 수행하였다. 레이저 발진기로 부터 발진된 레이저 빔은 광섬유를 통하여 전송되고, 집광렌즈군를 이용하여 용접이 이루어지도록 하였다. pulse 레이저 용접 변수인 펄스폭, 반복율, 첨두출력 및 용접속도를 변화시키면서 용접결과를 측정하였다. 이에 따른 적절한 용접범위를 제시하였다.

  • 유전적으로 우수한 능력을 보유하거나 희소한 품종의 공란우로부터 짧은 기간 내에 다수의 수정란을 확보하는 것은 유전자원의 보존과 효과적으로 수정란이식을 수행하기 위해 매우 중요한 일이다. 일반적으로 공란우의 과배란처리는 발정발현후 9∼13일에 실시하므로 발정이 확인이 필수적이며, 반복 과배란처리는 난소반응을 저하시키므로 양질의 수정란 회수율이 낮아진다. 김 등(1997)은 한우의 반복 과배란처리간격을 41∼60일까지 실시하여도 양질의 수정란을 회수할 수 있었다고 했다. (중략)

  • In this paper, the previous damage models for structures and their components under seismic repeated loading were reviewed systematically. A failure criterion for steel members under severe cyclic excitations as in strong earthquakes was described. A new approach to seismic damage assessment for steel members was proposed. This method was based on a series of the experimental and numerical investigations for steel members under very low cyclic loading. In this study, very low cyclic loading means repetitive loading, 5 to 20 loading cycles, within the large plastic range. The proposed damage assessment method was focused on the local strain history at the cross-section of the most severe concentration of deformation.

Repetitive operation characteristics of 500 Hz class excimer laser (500 Hz급 엑시머레이저의 반복동작특성)

  • A 500 Hz repetition rate excimer laser was developed as light source for pollution lidar. In this paper, the high repetitive output characteristics, the gas flow loop structure, and CR(clearing ratio) characteristics were investigated. Our laser system was constructed compact structure with a streamline gas flow loop and UV preionization. The real gas volume of laser is 10 liter. At 500 Hz repetitive operation, we have obtained average power of 53 watt with KrF laser gas. The variation of laser output, CR, and active volume are $\pm$6.7%, 2.3, and 2.0(H)$\times$1.2(W)$\times$56(L)=134 ㎤, respectively. Laser output power is declined to half at 3$\times$$10^6$ shots.

  • Hydrogels for wound dressing were manufactured using poly(vinylalcohol)(PVA) and poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone)(PVP). The hydrogels were obtained by exposing to $^{60}$ Co${\gamma}$-rays after freezing and thawing of aqueous solutions of PVA and PVP to improve mechanical strength. Mechanical properties such as gelation, water absorptivity and gel strength were examined after repeating the \"freezing and thawing\" of PVA/PVP hydrogels, and then irradiating them at 40 kGy. The PVA/PVP ratio was in the range of 30:70 ~ 100:0, and the solid concentration of PVA/PVP was 20 wt%. The gelation and strength of hydrogels were much higher when \"freezing and thawing\" and the irradiation process were used than when only the irradiation process was utilized.   • We propose a new scheme for generating a pedestal-free, femtosecond soliton pulse train by utilizing quasI-adiabatic high order soliton pulse evolution in dispersion decreasing fiber in conjunction with the intermediate pedestal suppression stage.   • 본 연구는 몸통의 반복적인 flexion/extension 동작 수행시 근전도신호를 측정하고 이들 신호에서 나타난 EMG parameters(median frequency, median power, RMS) 와 피실험자의 주관적 불편도의 변화양상간의 정량적인 관계를 알아보고자 수행되었다. 피실험자별로 3-5회 정해진 업무를 수행하였고 주관적불편도와 근전도 신호를 측정하였다. 실험결과 반복횟수가 증가할수록 주관적 불편도는 증가하였으며 각 task 별로 EMG parameter와 불편도의 증감율 간의 회귀분석과 상관분석을 수행한 결과 실험과 EMG parameter에 따른 변이는 존재했지만 대체로 RMS에 비해 MF와 MP의 증감율이 불편도 증감율과 상관관계가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on Fatigue Behavior of Two-Span Fiber Reinforced Concrete Beam (강섬유 보강 철근콘크리트 2경간 연속보의 피로거동에 관한 연구)

  • As concrete structures are getting larger, higher, longer, and specialized, it is more required to develop steel fiber concrete and apply to the real world. In this research, it is aimed to have fatigue strength examined, varying the steel fiber content by 0%, 0.75%, 1.00%, 1.25%, by experimental study of Two-spans Beam with Steel Fibrous with repeated loads. The ultimate load and the initial load of flexural cracking were measured by static test. In addition, the load versus strain relation, load versus strain relation, load versus deflection relation, crack pattern and fracture mode by increasing weight was observed. On the other hand, the crack propagation and the modes of fracture according to cycle number and the relation of cycle loading to deflection relation and strain relation was observed by fatigue test. As the result of fatigue test, Two-spans Beam without Steel Fibrous was failed at 60~70% of the static ultimate strength and it could be concluded that fatigue strength to two million cycle was around 67.2% by S-N curve. On the other hand, that with Steel Fibrous was failed at 65~85% of the static ultimate strength and it could be concluded fatigue strength to two million cycle around 71.7%.

Variation of Antioxidant Retention and Some Properties of Soybean Oil during Simulated Frying Operations (반복(反復) 가열과정(加熱過程) 중의 일부 항산화제(抗酸化劑) 잔존량(殘存量) 및 대두유(大豆油) 성상(性狀)의 변화(變化))

  • Antioxidants. BHA, BHT and PG were added to a commercial soybean oil at a level of 200 ppm, and the antioxidant-treated oils and a control oil were subjected to 30 min. heating at $150{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ and 23.5 hr. cooling at room temperature for 6 times. Variations of % antioxidant retention and some physical and chemical properties of the oils were investigated. The results of the present study were as follows. 1. The % retention of BHA, BHT and PG after the second heating and cooling was respectively 60.5, 55.7 and 40.5 %. That of BHA, BHT and PG after the 6th heating and cooling was respectively 5.7, 3.0 and 1.8 %. 2. The refractive indices and viscosity of the oils, including the control, increased slowly at first. but after 4th heating and cooling, these values increased rapidly. The color indices of the oils, including the control, increased very rapidly, but after the 2nd heating and cooling, the rates of the increase diminished considerably. 3. The efficiency of each antioxidant in suppressing peroxide, thiobarbituric acid, and acid value development decreased rapidly as the antioxidant contents of the oils decreased. After the 6th heating and cooling, the peroxide. thiobarbituric acid and acid values of the oils treated initially with the antioxidants did not differ appreciably from those of the control.
