  • 음향측정에 사용되는 무향실은 각종 정밀측정을 하는데 기본적인 중요설비 로 소리의 환경을 인위적으로 만든 설비이다. 무향실은 자유음장을 형성하는 실로 실내 모든면에서 음을 완전히 흡수하여 "음의 반사가 없는 실"을 말하 며, 실제 주변환경에서는 찾아보기 힘든 일이다. 이전에는 주로 Speaker나 Microphone등의 지향특성 및 교정에만 국한되어 사용했지만 현재 각종 기계 류의 방사 Power측정, 측정실내의 객관적인 교정검사, 기자재의 객관적인 음 향측정 데이터 비교평가등 무향실을 이용한 음향분석연구가 각 분야에서 광 범위하게 이용되어지고 있다.이용되어지고 있다.

Passby Noise Prediction in Semi-anechoic Chamber (반무향실내에서의 가속 주행 소음 예측 방법)

  • We investigated passby noise measurement method in a small-sized semi-anechoic chamber satisfying the American based SAE J1470 Recommended Practice to facilitate the measurements. We have tired two passby noise prediction methods. One is line array microphone method in which the free space sound field is decomposed into its eigenfunctions in the spherical coordinates and rearranged according to the order of the spherical Hankel function. However, due to the characteristics of the spherical Hankel function, it is impossible to distinguish the function's characteristics according to the order in farfield. Consequently it can be applied in the transient region of the nearfield and the farfield. The other method is nearfield acoustic holography(NAH). Although measuring hologram for the several operational engine speeds by conventional scanning method is time-consuming work, we can greatly reduce the measuring time by selecting the appropriate engine speed through preexperimental knowledge. To verify this method we experimented with the outdoor passby noise measurements and the passby noise prediction in the small-sized semi-anechoic chamber for the identical passenger vehicle and obtained reasonable and acceptable results.

  • This experimental study deals with the characteristics of LCD or PDP TV set noise, which are differ form those of CRT TV set. These characteristics are most important for establishing the effective method to reduce noise level, searching for the appropriate exposure level and evaluation method of LCD or PDP TV set noise. This study adopt two measurement method to specify the power level of LCD or PDP TV set noise in anechoic room(ISO 3741) and reverberation room(ISO 3745) . Comparing with each results of the two method, the reverberation room method is more simple in measuring and calculating the power level. And the subjective response test are carried out to select the pair of appropriate adjectives to present the characteristics of LCD or PDP TV set noise. The pair of 17 adjectives are selected from the 168 adjectives which are used in presenting the sound and noise form literature.

A Study on the Evaluation of Road Noise Characteristics Using the Tire/pavement Noise Measuring Trailer (도로 소음특성 평가를 위한 HEART CPX Trailer 개발 및 현장 적용성 검증 연구)

  • This study develops the tire/pavement noise measuring trailer that can minimize the effect of various environmental noise and evaluate road noise characteristics without regard to time and spots. As literature reviews, it is examined into road noise characteristics and case studies of various CPX Trailer, and made a development plan of device. Based on these, HEART CPX Trailer is developed and conduct experiments for verification of the semi-anechoic chamber suitability, precision and field application of device. In the result of the experiment for verification of semi-anechoic chamber suitability, we can make sure that it is suitable and reliable among frequency bands. In the test of repetition measurement, we can verify excellent measurement accuracy among speeds and microphone's locations. In case of field tests using HEART CPX Trailer, it is founded that the result is similar to CPB test result carried out by Chung-Ang university in 2003. It can be concluded caused that the effect of environmental noise in and around the road including mechanical noise of a tow car was excluded. This paper confirmed and suggested that HEART CPX Trailer is suitable for evaluation of real road noise characteristics.

A Study on the Evaluation of Semi-Anechoic Chamber Characteristics (전파반무향실의 특성평가에 관한 연구)

  • Because of the result of a large use of electronic equipments, the occupation density of microwave frequency band is highly increased, and electromagnetic environment is getting more seriously bad. It is sometimes reported that electronic machines are not normally operated on account of the influence of undesired electromagnetic wave, which often gives fatal blow to even human life and thus becomes serious social problems. OATS(Open Area Test Site) is principally used to measure EMI or examine elelctromagnetic emission. Because of various restrictions we often build semi-anechoic chamber which has the function of OATS to measure EMI or EMS other than OATS. If the difference of the site attenuation between semi-anechoic chamber and OATS is within ${\pm}3dB$, the semi-anechoic chamber is recognized as adequate facility to measure EMI or EMS. Accordingly authors evaluate and analyze site attenuation due to absorbent materials, polarization, mutual coupling effects, etc. The calculated and the measured site attenuation in semi-anechoic chamber are compared. As a result good agreement is obtained.

  • We are confronted with the serious EMI(electromagnetic interference) problems in company with the development of electronic equipments. Accordingly it is also required to construct some anechoic chambers for EMI measurement. Furthermore it is very important to evaluate the chamber characteristics in advance of its construction. For that purpose we have analyzed the characteristics by computer simulation in base on the image method, and compared the results with the measured ones. In case of 3-meter method as a result, the curved line of height pattern of open site varies similarly as that of height pattern of anechoic chamber. When we measure the electromagnetic strength and can get the height pattern curves by frequencies, we utilized it effectively because we can protect instrumental errors in measurement. On the other hand, there is a little difference in site attenuation above 700MHz. When the ferrite grid was used however, the calculated values agree well with the measured values up to 1000MHz with the exception of 30-40 MHz range. The reason is that we don't consider the antenna coupling in the low frequencies of 30-100MHz range.

  • 본 논문에서는 FXLMS 알고리즘을 이용하여 3차원 폐공간(반무향실)에서의 순음(125Hz)을 이용하여 부 음원과 에러센서의 위치 변화에 따른 소음저감 정도를 분석하였으며, 이 결과를 바탕으로 능동형 방음벽의 구현의 기초자료로 활용하고자 하였다. 부음원(제어스피커, 이하 부음원)과 에러센서간 거리차는 0.5m, 1.5m, 2.5m를 대상으로 실험을 실시하였으며 그 중 거리차가 1.5m 지점의 경우, 125Hz부근에서는 최대 18.3dB, Overall(80Hz~200Hz)값은 18.2dB(A)의 소음저감 효과가 있는 것으로 나타나, 가장 효과적인 부음원과 에러센서간의 거리차인 것으로 평가되었다.

특정 실험실 조건에서의 사무실용 낮은 칸막이의 소음감쇠성능 측정방법 KS제정을 위한 ISO 규격내용 분석

  • 대부분의 사무용 건물은 코아 부분(엘리베이터 홀, 화장실, 계단 등)을 제외하고는 Open 되어 있으며, 필요에 따라 부서간에는 천장 면까지 도달하는 경량벽체를 설치하여 독립된 공간을 구획하고, 부서내부에서는 직원들간의 커뮤니케이션은 용이하게 하는 대신에 최소한의 독립성을 제공하기 위해 낮은 칸막이 등을 설치하고 있다. 그러나 사무실에 사용하는 칸막이 벽체 중 천장 면까지 도달하는 칸막이에 대해서는 KS F 2808(건물 부재의 공기전달음 차단성능 실험실 측정방법)의 측정방법을 이용하여 차음성능을 확인할 수 있으나 낮은 칸막이에 대해서는 소음저감 성능을 측정할 수 있는 측정 방법에 관한 규격이 없다. 따라서 기존에 있는 모든 KS 규격들은 국제표준규격인 ISO와의 부합화가 이루어졌거나 이루어지고 있기 때문에 이러한 정부의 방침에 따라 본 낮은 칸막이에 대한 소음감쇠량 측정규격 또한 ISO규격(ISO 10053(음향- 실험실 조건에서의 사무실 스크린의 소음저감성능 측정방법))을 받아들이기 위해 ISO규격 내용을 검토하였다. 향후 이 규격이 그대로 우리나라 규격으로 제정될 때 나탈 수 있는 문제점을 최소화하기 위해 국내에 있는 반 무향실에서 낮은 칸막이의 실제 소음저감 성능을 실시할 계획이다.

A study on the design of a trumpet horn for automobiles based on acoustic reactance at the horn throat (혼 입구에서의 음향 리액턴스에 근거한 자동차용 트럼펫 혼의 설계 연구)

  • A car horn serves a crucial safety role as a means of communication between drivers and a part that alerts pedestrians in advance. While previous studies have utilized finite element method and electric circuit model to simulate and analyze characteristics of the car horns, there remains a lack of research on design methods of a trumpet horn. This paper presents a design approach that predicts the operating frequency based on the acoustic reactance at the throat of the horn, once the vibrating part is determined. We deal with a horn combining both an exponential horn and a waveguide in the acoustic section, and confirm that the acoustic reactance at the horn throat measured by impedance tube experiment agrees well compared with the numerical result obtained using the finite element method. The resonance frequency of the car horn is predicted using the COMSOL Multiphysics finite element numerical analysis model, and the proposed design method is validated by measuring the operating frequency of the designed horn in a sound pressure experiment. As a result, the resonance measured in a semi-anechoic chamber environment by applying a DC voltage of 12 [V] excluding the holder occurs accurately within a few [Hz] of the design operating frequency. This paper discuss the design method of a trumpet horn from the perspective of the horn's acoustic reactance, and is expected to be useful for designing horn systems.
