한국인이 만들고 전세계 석학들과 오피니언 리더들이 주목하고 있는 프로그램이 있다. 일반인들에게는 다소 생소하지만 논문이나 학술자료 등을 자주 작성해야 하는 교수, 연구원, 석 · 박사 과정의 학생들에게는 혁신적인 소프트웨어로 인정받고 있는‘스칼라스에이드’가 바로 그것이다. 현재 전세계 88개국에서 30만명 이상이 사용하고 있는 이 프로그램은 각주나 레퍼런스(인용문구 및 출처)를 자동으로 작성할 수 있도록 할 뿐만 아니라 전세계 200여 도서관의 서지자료와 원문을 손쉽게 입수하고, DB화 할 수 있도록 한다. 얼마전‘스칼라스에이드4 한글판 패키지’버전을 발표한 나도영 스칼라스에이드 사장을 만났다.

지난 9월, 두근거리는 마음을 안고 독일행 비행기에 몸을 실은 3명의 청년이 있었다. 국가 핵융합연구소가 차세대 핵융합 전문 인력 양성이라는 목표 아래 시행한 '해외 여름학기 연수프로그램'. 국내 석박사 과정의 핵융합 인재를 대상으로 해외 핵융합 선진국의 연구기관을 직접 방문하는 이 프로그램에 지원한 오영석, 이원재, 이현영 씨가 바로 그 주인공들이다. 유럽 플라즈마 연구를 선도하는 독일의 막스 플랑크 플라즈마 물리연구소(Max Planck IPP)에서의 짧지만 잊을 수 없는 그 일주일을 되짚어 보자.

전문가 검색 엔진은 전문가 시스템과 같은 목적에서 특정 전문 분야에 대한 특수한 정보를 수집 검색하기 위한 검색 엔진을 내용이다. 본 논문은 전문가 검색 엔진을 만드는 과정에서 초기 작업에 해당하는 웹 정보 수집에 대한 논문이다. 본 논문은 웹 페이지에서 하이퍼링크와 참조되는 웹 페이지에 대한 표면 지식을 이용하여, 홈페이지 그래프를 작성한다. 그리고 나서 홈페이지 그래프와 사전에 미리 준비된 개념 그래프를 이용하여, 웹 페이지 수집 중 특정 전문 분야에 해당하는 웹 페이지인지를 판별하여 사용자가 수집하고자 하는 분야에 대한 웹 페이지만을 수집한다. 본 논문은 이에 대한 개념, 설계 및 구현과 앞으로의 개선 상황을 제안한다.

1991년 설립하여 충남대내에 자리잡고 있는 급속응고신소재연구센터는 30여명의 교수와 60여명의 석ㆍ박사과정연구원들이 급속냉각방식을 이용한 첨단신제품개발에 모든 정열을 쏟고 있다. 급속응고란 액상금속을 가스ㆍ액체 또는 원심력을 이용하여 급속도로 냉각시켜서 합금분말이나 비정질금속 등을 제조하는 공정을 말하는데 개발된 기술은 (주)정진화학에 전수하여 현재 생산라인에서 산업화를 위한 시험을 실시하고 있다.

87년 서울대에서 박사학위를 받은 후 그 이듬해 미국 NIH에서 방사성동위원소 표지 단일클론항체의 영상이용에 관한 연구를 하고 귀국한 서울대의대 정준기교수는 우리나라 핵의학의 정착과 발전을 위해 땀을 흘리고 있다. 서울대 암연구센터 제2연구부장을 맡고 있는 정교수는 자체 개발한 항체를 이용한 새로운 골수영상진단법으로 암의 전이 등을 진단분석하는 연구로 큰 성과를 거두고 있다. 정교수는 내년부터 의대 3학년과정에 개설된 핵의학과목을 강의하게 되어 그 준비에 바쁘다.

This study is a phenomenological study on the dream insight process of intern counselors. The purpose of this study is to promote growth as a professional counselor based on the process of giving meaning to and recognizing their experiences through insight into the unconscious. Therefore, we used dream-integrated art therapy to have a process of recognizing unconscious dreams that clearly express expectations for oneself, others, and the world, and to explore this process more flexibly. The research participants selected three students enrolled in the master's and doctor's courses from among the applicants who applied through public relations and adopted the phenomenological Giorgi research method for data collection and analysis through in-depth interviews with the research participants. The main research results are as First, the intern counselors had a motive for wanting their own unconscious insight through dream-integrated art therapy and were able to gain insight into the problems revealed in their unconscious through dreams, music, and art media. Second, it was found that the intern counselors felt a deepening of concentration and comfort through recent dreams, music, and art media in common. Third, as a defense mechanism that was revealed without the combination of dream integrated art therapy, the avoidance tendency of not wanting to reveal oneself was common, but this showed a gradual decrease. Fourth, it was reported that intern counselors gained flexibility for themselves about the future growth direction had an opportunity to accept themselves, and had a plan for the future direction to become professional counselors. Therefore, it is suggested that follow-up studies using various media, studies to verify the effectiveness of the dream integration program, and various case studies are necessary.

This paper presents an emerging concept, professional mobility in S&T innovation system, that focus on the utilization of highly qualified researchers without recruiting. In this paper we divided the utilization of external researcher into four types: (1)visiting/post-Doc/guest researcher, (2)collaborating research student, (3)part-timer or trainee and (4)foreign researcher. From 2002 to 2005 in 19 Korean government-funded research institutes, while total researchers have increased by 13.3%, external researchers have decreased from 39.2% to 35.7%. In 2005, visiting and foreign researchers were only 6.5% of total external researchers. It may indicate that the innovation capability of Korean research institutes is on the quite limited situation compared to foreign research institutes. The financial and institutional support programs for promoting the professional mobility are also insufficient in Korean S&T innovation system.
