Mugunghwa, one of the most prominent national symbols of Korea, is a significant design source for producing cultural products. However, there has been a limitation to reflecting the identity of Korea using the design due to a lack of study and analysis of characteristics of Mugunghwa in history. Therefore, the researchers analyzed the design characteristics of Mugunghwa in cultural artifacts such as costumes, money, and stamps. Based on this, the study puts forward the following suggestions. First, the patterns of Mugunghwa should be categorized as a solo figure, a flower with pastels and the stem and a group of flowers as a unit. Second, there are two ways of expressing the flower: using realism and abstraction. Mugunghwa comprises of five pastels with elongated depth in the middle. The pastels spread out like the spokes of a wheel from the center; leaving a feeling of unevenness and the rims of the pastels are shaped in waves. The study puts forward the following suggestion: First, find the prototypes for different design characteristics. Second, develop motifs and patterns that reflect the given prototypes. Finally, apply the design to most popular cultural items such as T-shirts, neckties and bags. The ultimate purpose of the study lies with the hope that it will contribute to promoting the Korean beauty throughout the world.
In this paper, the concept of the diversified cultural tourism industry in Korea and China was summarized and the research direction was suggested. Also, the characteristics and status of the cultural tourism industry were analyzed. As a characteristic of the cultural tourism industry in both Korea and China, it exhibited similar cultural tourism forms such as performances, theme parks, festivals, and museums. Korea had a unique cultural tourism form called Hallyu cultural tourism, and China is also a rare cultural arts complex in Korea. And has developed cultural tourism. The strength of the Korean culture and tourism industry is that it is rich in cultural resources and possesses many assets with cultural contents, and the strength of the Chinese culture and tourism industry is that it has abundant tourism resources and huge economic power. As such, Korea and China with many similarities were found to be a country with high interest and potential in the cultural tourism industry, which is growing into a high value-added industry in the future. In addition, in order to continuously and stably develop the cultural tourism industry, continuous efforts and interests and proper research must be conducted so that the two countries can coexist with each other.
South Korea had a hard time creating its own image of a nation that formed its identity due to 6.25, Japanese-style rule, division of South and North Korea, and military dictatorship. Recently, Korea has been searching and spreading its identity by creating a Korean wave such as various events and K-POPs. However, since there are still no images and cultural products representing Korea's identity, it is necessary to develop design contents related to native culture and professional cultural product design. Design powers such as France and Japan focus on design projects that can add value to their national design policy projects. Traditional Korean contents also need to be specialized and continuous in image design and research. In this study, five lucky-SubokGangnYeon(long life, happiness and peace), a representative of Korean culture, studied with the most interest in the old and the modern, namely, "Living healthy long." Through the development of cultural product design and the use of design content, I would look forward to presenting the diversity and direction in producing Korea's own design products and images that fit the trend of modern 'age of 100.' Based on images based on special exhibitions related to longevity of the National Folk Museum of Korea, the museum discovers key used features and meanings, studies patterns and patterns, and analyzes design cases applied to modern cultural product design. We also want to look at the direction available through design content, which is a symbol of llong life happiness and peace. First, cultural products have limitations that lack the development of design products, lack of public relations and sales outlets, and lack of awareness of traditional culture, which should precede policy support and awareness reform at the national level. Second, we need to streamline prices that meet the needs of the market. Research on the Korean culture of designers should be conducted, not just in the form of figurative images. Fifth, traditional manufacturing methods and materials should be respected by modern times, but modern production products should be developed with economy and durability.
More than 200 objects selected for the newly-opened Kimhae National Museum were treated for conservation. The objects which represent ancient Kaya culture, were mainly composed of metallic such as gilt bronze, silver, copper alloy and iron. The corrosion products on gilt bronze and copper alloy objects were preserved or removed according to their stability. Minimum treatment was done for preserving the original state of the objects. For silver objects and iron objects with silver-plate decorations, silver surfaces were revealed after treatment of corrosion products and treatments to prevent corrosion of silver and iron were done emphatically. For iron objects, which were stabilized, the original shape of objects was restored and acrylic coating was applied to prevent further corrosion. For the objects which were being corroded, 2-step de-chloride treatments were undertaken. The first step was immersing the objects in a solution of 0.3M sodium hydroxide and the second was the pressure de-chloride treatment using borax-distilled water. The main purpose of those treatments was to get rid of the causes of corrosion. Besides, conservation treatments for potteries, making of special mounting board for exhibition and amendment of various modeling were done too.

This study developed a pattern design that is highly useful in the modern culture and tourism industry based on various formative elements that appeared in the cloud-treasure pattern on fabrics from the Joseon Dynasty. The cloud-treasure pattern has an auspicious meaning. Therefore, the wrapping cloth with this pattern symbolizes the meaning of giving a precious gift. There are many aesthetic and formative elements in royal culture that can be utilized in the development of various cultural products. Therefore, it has very high utility value even in modern times. We examined rare royal wrapping cloth and applied its formative characteristics to develop a popular package design. Through this, another possibility was presented in the convergence of traditional culture and design. In particular, we actively combined the pattern of wrapping cloth with the 2024 fashion trend to develop a unique and trendy pattern design. The main source of the pattern design is the silk jacquard wrapping cloth with cloud-treasure pattern, a relic of Princess Myeong-an owned by the Seoul Museum of Craft Art. The researcher directly examined the wrapping cloth to extract 14 design motifs and developed 6 types of trendy patterns by combining them with dot and ribbon patterns, which are pattern trends for 2024. Afterwards, the pattern was mapped onto a box package similar to a wrapping cloth and expressed virtually.

The purpose of this study is to make a plan for the development of new tour routes for '98 Kyongju World Culture Exposition. The result of this study is as follow: First, over 40% of tourists from Kyongsang-buk-do Province vote for Kyongju Area as the most favorite tourist-oriented city in this province. And they are visiting Kyongju mostly in April(22.6%) and in May(17.8%). Second, cultural assets in Kyongju area are located at Inkyo-dong(16.8%), at Bohwang-dong(9.4%), at Topjong-dong(8.1%). at Mt. Namsan area(11.8%, 6.9% for Naenammyon, and 4.9% for Dodong-dong), and at the vicinity of Kyongju City(53.9%). Third, tourism enterprises in Kyongju Area are located mostly at one place-Pomun Lake Resort area. This fact have had bad influence on the influx of tourists. Lastly, current tour routes are limited mostly to the heart of Kyongju City. So, other attractive tour routes must be developed also in other tourism circles such as the East Sea Tourism Circle and the Northern Province Tourism Circle, which belong to the 6 tourism circles designated by Kyongju City but are now excluded from the current tour routes. In conclusion, this study proposes "98 Kyongju World Culture Exposition with Themes" related to the 6 tourism circles. The themes proposed are as follows: (1) The exploration of the historical places of the Shill a Kingdom in the heart of Kyongju City including Mt. Seoak area and Pulkuksa Temple area. (2) Smile with a new millenium in Pomun Lake Resort area. (3) The exploration of the Buddhist culture in Mt. Namsan. (4) The harmony between nature and culture in the East Sea Tourism Circle and the Northern Culture Circle.

Goryeong, the center of Daegaya's historic culture, has pushed tourism development utilizing Daegaya's historic cultural resource. The tourist's cognition level of Goryeong is very low and the tourists of Goryeong have been decreased compared with them of Gyeongbuk. However, Goryeong has a variety of cultural tourism resources and geographical proximity with Daegu, and the potential of it attracts the tourism market. This research examines the tourism demands and supplies of Goryeong and then recommend the improvemental aspect of tourism po1icy and the developmental aspect of tourism resource in Goryeong. Goryeong needs the tourism po1icy to cotstruct the system which supplies the useful tourism information to tourism organizations and firms and to create the sustainable tourism product innovation. The tourism development should be pushed in two ways: the revitalization of the developed tourism resources and the creation of tourism product.
What is culture-products? Culture-products contains identity of nation and region. French critic Guy Sorman says "It is natural that buying culture-products when you travel any countries" Culture-products which contains our own cultural factors will give positive image of country. We need to develop culture-products which mixed regional culture and characteristic. We would like to research about Baekje culture and culture-products and sales products in museum. Museum is one of the tourist's attractions and great place to express regional factors. The culture-products are specially limited in the products which reflects a Baekje culture with Muryeong's tomb in Gong-ju and Baekje incense burner in Bu-Yeo it advanced. We hope that this research could help to understand market of culture-products and development.
This research aims to develop cultural products for professional sales after producing creative products utilizing dinosaur characters, which are the representative exhibited item of dinosaur-centered museum. There are seven museums in Korea whose theme is dinosaur. There are three dinosaur museums among them, Goseong Dinosaur Museum at Kyungnam, Mokpo Natural History Museum, and Seodaemun Museum of Natural History. While inspecting cultural products within the museum shops of these three museums, general products occupy more than 80% of all the products rather than products related to dinosaurs, and has a problem that most products are decorative ones. This resulted from that enterprises supplying these products are not professional ones and are irrelevent to cultural industry; as result, purpose of conveying culture through products is lost. This research develops dinosaur characters utilizing computer 3D techniques in order to imbue unique characteristics to dinosaur museums and informing cultural speciality of our country. In addition, this research presented design method of cultural products by grafting traditional symbols onto these characters, and actually produced 11 items of 5 kinds: toys(dolls), clothes(T-shirts, pajamas, socks), stationery(notebooks, memo), accessaries (bags, umbrellas, handkerchief), and others(cups). On the items above, dinosaur characters are variously utilized in form of printing, embroidery, and stickers by using computer 3D technique. A cultural product is a tangible form which could show variety of cultural characteristics of our nation that could spread the culture through the consumers, and such type of purchasing could increase values of cultural industry by creating economic profits; such points are the significance of this study.

This study attempts to investigate the spatial characteristics of cultural economies of Bukchon in Seoul, where abundant cultural assets exist. This area has been the administrative-political core locale since 14C, therefore, a lot of traditional- and contemporary-cultural facilities are remains, This area possessed unique place characteristics by coexisting traditional and modern cultures, and thus attracted to culture demanders. Recently many economic activities have increased in this area, and most of them are related with the cultural elements of the region, In particular creative retail shops, which produce goods by flexible-specialized production system, have been agglomerated in this area, The goods are designed, produced, and sold at the shop place. Most of them are uniquely designed hand made products, and produced a few amount. The economic value of these products related with the cultural environment of Bukchon. These creative shops emerged at the front of Samcheongdong street in the beginning, and then have diffused into the inside of Samcheongdong street and Hwagae street. The shops have very unique exteriors related with traditional houses in this area, and located on roadsides where are not many passerby. Most owners of the retail stores are highly educated and studied design, and produce goods by themselves at the shops. The reason that they opened their shops in Bukchon is directly related with the unique cultural environment of this area. They hope that more unique and artistic stores join this area so that developed this area as culture and fashion combined area.
