A Study on the Korean Ondol-System Application in Apartment Houses (공동주택의 한국형 온돌시스템 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The traditional Korean Ondol System that is a radiant floor heating system was made as warm floor and cool indoor temperature. Nowaday, Ondol is developed as the hydronic floor heating system. But unbalance of floor temperature and indoor temperature is occurred bocause strengthen thermal insulation and airtightness in building changes thermal performance. To solve these problems, we examine actual indoor environment of heating system methods in existing apartments and present the new method of floor heating system. The existing heating system made definite indoor temperatures but floor temperatures that is $22^{\circ}C-26^{\circ}C$ was maintained. To solve these problems, we adopted the differential heating system which made warm area and cool area. A differential heating system was made different pitches of heating pipe in single zone and ratio of warm area to cool area is 1 to 2. As a result of experiments, warm area temperature is $40.7^{\circ}C$, cool area temperature is $36.1^{\circ}C$. A difference of temperature between both area is 4K. A distribution of indoor vertical temperature is similar to both warm area and cool area.

A Study on the Thermal Comfort Zone and Energy Use of Radiant Floor Heating by Residential Style and Clothing Level (생활특성과 착의량에 따른 바닥복사난방 공간의 열쾌적 범위 및 에너지 사용량에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the thermal comfort range according to the residential style and clothing level at radiant floor heating space, and compare the annual energy consumption and energy cost for each condition. Lower neutral point temperature has been stood for floor sitting style than chair sitting style, which appears that the thermal sensation was affected by local heat transfer between floor surface and the human body. The result of research indicates that neutral point temperature was in inverse proportion with the clothing level. It is interpreted that the increasing of clothing level results decrement of heat loss from human body, and is available to achieve same thermal comfort at lower room temperature. It was analyzed that the floor sitting style is more economical residential style than the chair sitting style, because the energy consumption of the floor sitting style is saved by 6.0% in average to compare with that of the chair sitting style. It is analyzed that energy consumption has been decreased by 13.5% with the clothing level of 1.2 Clo than with that of 1.0 Clo, and decreased by 18.0% than with that of 0.8 Clo, which explains that the energy saving can be achieved with the variation in life habit to increase the clothing level.

  • Recently, environmental concerns and issues have become great concerns for the public. Therefore, this study is conducted with the objective of preventing energy depletion and $CO_2$ emission. PCM (Phase Change Materials) having latent heat characteristic is mixed in mortar to find a proper mix proportion. Also, the mortar properties and performances as well as a melting point of PCM when applied to air conditioning and heating conditions in at building environments were obtained by performing experiments. Also, latent heat and heat transfer characteristics were obtained from experiments by test of thermal performance to formulate temperature gradient about amount of heat transfer of PCM content using the Fourier's thermal equation. The study results can be used in the application of PCM in buildings and expected effect of air conditioning and heating energy.

  • To the development of construction techniques and construction of glass-walled structure is generalized. Existing wall to support the role of the vertical load was lose. Features and the beautiful side of the curtain wall job was to be highlighted. Carriage access to the interior of the windows will cause pain in the neck with a cold feeling. And in the windows, drafty windows, under floor heating occurs despite the condensation phenomenon occurs. droplets that occurs around the window (the cause of the mold) in summer and winter, the heat energy and move through the glass is warmer outside. Therefore, to reduce energy efficiency affects absolutely. When you apply heat to the carriage window, the surface of the glass system, the spread of the cold air does not occur. Therefore, energy savings cars and heating of the interior is cold.

  • The purpose of this study was to comparative analyses of energy performance in apartment houses adopted window frame-type natural ventilation, under-floor air distribution ventilation and heat recovery ventilation. As the object of energy simulation, the three type ventilation system with area of $84m^2$ was selected in apartment house. As a result, when the ECO2 simulation was performed, the 1st requirement quantity per annual were $159.9kWh/m^2yr$(CASE1, Natural Ventilation), $179.7kWh/m^2yr$(CASE2, Under-floor Air Distribution Ventilation) and $161.0kWh/m^2yr$(CASE3, Heat Recovery Ventilation).

  • 기저부하조성 및 부하율 망상을 위한 심야 전력요금제도의 정착으로 최근 심야전력축열기기의 보급이 활성화되고 있다. 그러나 모든 심야전력축열기기들이 심야요금개시시간대인 22:00경에 동시에 가동됨에 따라 23:00경에 심야전력 부하가 최대에 이르러 전력피크가 발생하여 한전의 수요관리에 어려움을 주고 있다. 따라서 이 피크 부하를 심야전력 공급시간대의 저부하 시간대로 분산시킬 수 있는 심야전력기기 공급시간제어장치가 필요하게 되었으며, 이미 축열식전기보일러와 축열식 전기온수기에는 개발 보급되고 있는 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 다른 심야전력축열기기와는 달리 자연방열의 바닥축열난방방식인 축열식전기온돌의 공급시간자동제어장치 알고리즘을 실증실험을 통해서 검증하였다.

  • This paper presents outdoor reset control based on fuzzy algorithm for radiant floor heating system. We construct fuzzy system under indoor temperature and outdoor temperature. Simulation is based on TRNSYS with MATLAB. MATLAB is calculating and decide heat source using fuzzy system. Energy efficiency of Fuzzy algorithm is analyzed in term of indoor by TRNSYS System.

  • Flow quantity to supply to a coil in floor heating system is important to achieve comfortable indoor air condition in the winter season. The hot water header is used to distribute the water into the coil. Experimental study has been performed using the water header that have 5 branches consisted of flow control valves and automatic shut-off valves. Each branch line connected it with X-L pipe. Experimental tests accomplished it to investigate the flow distribution characteristics of the hot water header. Experimental results show that the selection of the pump head and differential pressure are very important to save running energy of the system, and high differential pressure needs more friction loss in the case of suitable differential pressure for balancing of the header.

A study on the comfort thermal environment by the Draft in floor panel heating system (바닥면복사난방에서 Draft에 의한 쾌적열환경에 관한 연구)

  • This study was to estimate how about various effects on the body thermal sensation as air velocity. clo. mean radiant temperature and resultant temperature are varied. The indoor thermal environment elements are measured under the five different of air velocity. Using the above considerations. the following results are obtained. ▶ The states, the air velocity under 0.5 m/s and 0.63 to 0.9 clo. were shown that the comfort zone of mean radiant temperature by 21.2~24.7C, the neutral point by 22.8C, the resultant temperature by 20.7-24.4C and the neutral point by 22.6C. ▶ On equal condition, the draft was occurred at a given air-velocity under 0.5m.s. It was also appeared the floor panel heating system affecting the body thermal sensation by the subject’s below-chest parts and the local discomfort by sensations on the feet and the knees.
