The Effect of Extrusion Temperature on Microstructure and Thermoelectric Properties of Rapidly Solidified P-type $P-type Bi_{0.5}Sb_{1.5}Te_3$ alloy (급속응고된 $P-type Bi_{0.5}Sb_{1.5}Te_3$ 합금 열전재료의 미세조직과 열전특성에 미치는 압출 온도의 효과)

  • $Bi_2Te_3$계 열전반도체 재료는 200 ~ 400K 정도의 저온에서 에너지 변환 효율이 가장 높은 재료로서 열전냉각 및 발전재료로 제조볍 및 특성에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 전자냉각 모듈의 제조에는 P형 및 N형 $Bi_2Te_3$계 단결정이 주로 사용되고 있으나. $Bi_2Te_3$ 단결정은 C축에 수직한 벽개면을 따라 균열이 쉽게 전파하기 때문에 소자 가공사 수윤 저하가 가장 큰 문제점으로 지적되고 있다. 이에 따라 최근 열전재료의 가공방법에 따른 회수율 증가 및 열전특성 향상에 관한 열간압출, 단조와 같은 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 가스분사법(gas atomizer)을 이용하여 용질원자 편석의 감소, 고용도의 증가,균일고용체 형성, 결정립미세화 둥 급속응고의 장점을 이용하여 화학적으로 균질한$Bi_2Te_3$계 열전재료 분말을 제조하고, 제조된 분발을 압출가공하여 기계적성질, 소자의 가공성 및 열전 성능 지수율 향상시키는데 연구 목적이 있다. 본 설험에서는 99.9%이상의 고순도 Bi. Te. Se. Sb를 이용하여, 고주파 유도로에서 Ar 분위기로 용융하고, 가스분사법를 이용하여 균질한 $Bi_2Te_3$계 열전재료 분만을 제조하였다. 분말표면의 산화막을 제거하기 위하여 수소분위기에서 환원처리를 행하였고, 된 분말을 Al 캔 주입하여 냉간성형 한 후 진공중에서 압출온도를 변화시켜 열간압출 가공을 행하였다. 압출 온도변화에 따른 압출재의 미세조직 및 열전특성에 중요한 영향을 미치는 C면 배향에 대한 결정방위 해석, 압출재의 압축강도 등을 분석하였으며, 압출온도에 따삼 미세조직 변화와 결정방위의 변화에 따른 열전특성의 관계를 해석하였다성시켰고 이들이 산인 HNO3에서 녹았기 때문이다. 본 연구에서 개발된 새로운 에칭 용액인 90H2O2 - 10HNO3 (vol%)의 에칭 원리가 똑같이 적용 가능한 다른 종류의 초경 합금에서도 사용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.로 판단된다.멸과정은 다음과 같다. 출발물질인 123 분말이 211과 액상으로 분해될 때 산소가스가 배출되며, 이로 인해 액상에서 구형의 기공이 생성된다. 이들 중 일부는 액상으로 채워져 소멸되나, 나머지는 그대로 남는다. 특히, 시편 중앙에 서는 수십-수백 마이크론 크기의 커다란 기공이 다수 관찰된는데, 이는 기공의 합체로 만들어진 것이다. 포정반응 열처리 시 기공 소멸로 만들어진 액상포켓들은 주변 211 입자와 반응하여 123 영역으로 변한다. 이곳은 다른 지역과 비교하여 211 밀도 가 낮기 때문에, 미반응 액상이 남거나 211 밀도가 낮은 123 영역이 된다. 액상으로 채워지지 못한 구형의 기공들 중 다수가 123 결정 내로 포획되며, 그 형상은 액상/ 기공/고상 계면에너지에 의해 결정된다.단의 경우, 파단면이 매끄럽고 파변상의 결정립도 매우 미세하였으며, 산확물 의 용집도 찾아보기 어려웠 나, 접합부 파단의 경우에는 파변의 굴곡이 비교척 심하고 연성 입계파괴의 형태를 보였£며, 결정립도 모채부 파단의 경우에 비해 조대하였다. 조대하였다. 셋째, 주상기간 중 총 에너지 유입률 지수와 $Dst_{min}$ 사이에 높은 상관관계가 확인되었다. 특히 환전류를 구성하는 주요 입자의 에너지 영역(75~l13keV)에서 가장 높은(0.80) 상관계수를 기록했다. 넷째, 회복기 중에 일어나는 입자들의 유입은 자기폭풍의 지속시간을 연장시키는 경향을 보이며 큰 자기폭풍일수록 현저했다. 주상에서 관측된 이러한 특성은 서브스톰 확장기 활동이 자기폭풍의

  • Micro climatic conditions within the livestock facility are affected by various factors such as ventilation, cooling, heating, insulation and latent and sensible heat generation from animals. In this study, numerical BES method was used to simulate energy flow inside the poultry house. Based on the BES method and THI concept, degree of thermal stress of poultry was evaluated according to the locations in South Korea. Comparison of THI values within the poultry house was also carried out according to the stocking densities to reflect recent animal-welfare issue. Significant decrease in thermal stress of poultry was observed when the stocking density of $30kg/m^2$ was applied in the change of the seasons(p<0.05) however, there was no statistically significant difference in summer season(p>0.05). It meant that installation of proper cooling system is urgently needed. For Iksan city of Jeollabuk-do province, total 252 hours of profit for thermal stress was found according to decrease in the stocking density.

Evaluation of Soil Microflora in Salt Accumulated Soils of Plastic Film House (염유집적(鹽類集積) 시설재배지(施設栽培地)의 토양미생물상(土壤微生物相) 평가(評價))

  • The experiment was conducted to obtain the basic data required to characterize and improve rhizosphere environment of salt-accumulated greenhouse(SAG) soils by comparing the soil properties and the microbial flora of such soils to those of unprotected arable upland(UAU) soils. Soils were sampled from greenhouses and unprotected upland fields around the country. Microbial propulation, biomass C content and soil chemical properties were of interest. Population density of fluorescent Pseudomonas was high in UAU soils, while those of pathogenic Fusarium sp. and fluorescent Pseudomonas were low in SAG soils. With increasing soil organic matter(OM) content, the population densities of Bacillus sp., fluorescent Pseudomonas sp., Enterobacteriaceae, and microbial biomass C content increased. As soil electrical conductivity(EC) increased higher than $5.1dS\;m^{-1}$, the ratios of bacteria to fungi(B/F) and actinomycetes to fungi(A/F) and the population density of fluorescent Pseudomonas decreased remarkably. The soil pH was positively related to the population density of aerobic bacteria, while it was negatively related to that of fungi. The soil OM content was significantly correlated to the population densities of actinomycetes($r=0.226^*$). Bacillus sp.($r=0.334^{**}$), Enterobacteriaceae($r=0.276^*$), and the microbial biomass C content($R=0.439^{**}$). The population density of actinomycetes was also significantly correlated with soil exchangeable Ca($r=0.334^{**}$) and Mg($r=0.352^{**}$).

Analysis of the Geological Structure of the Hwasan Caldera Using Potential Data (포텐셜 자료해석을 통한 화산칼데라 구조 해석)

  • A geophysical mapping was performed for Hwasan caldera which is located in Euisung Sub-basin of the southeastern part of the Korean Peninsula. In order to overcome the limitation of the previous studies, remote sensing technic was used and dense potential data were obtained and analyzed. First, we analyzed geological lineament for target area using geological map, digital elevation model (DEM) data and satellite imagery. The results were greatly consistent with the previous studies, and showed that N-S and NW-SE direction are the most dominant one in target area. Second, based on the lineament analysis, highly dense gravity data were acquired in Euisung Sub-basin and an integrated interpretation considering air-born magnetic data was made to investigate the regional structure of the target area. The results of power spectrum analysis for the acquired potential data revealed that the subsurface of Euisung Sub-basin have two density discontinuities at about 1 km and 3-5 km depth. A 1 km depth discontinuity is thought as the depth of pyroclastic sedimentary rocks or igneous rocks which were intruded at the ring vent of Hwasan caldera, while a 3-5 km depth discontinuity seems to be associated with the depth of the basin basement. In addition, three-dimensional gravity inversion for the total area of Euisung Sub-basin was carried out, and the inversion results indicated two followings; 1) Cretaceous Palgongsan granite and Bulguksa intrusion rocks, which are located in southeastern part and northeastern part of Euisung Sub-basin, show two major low density anomalies, 2) pyroclastic rocks around Hwasan caldera also have lower density when compared with those of neighborhood regions and are extended to 1.5 km depth. However, a poor vertical resolution of potential survey makes it difficult to accurately delineate the detailed structure caldera which has a vertically developed characteristic in general. To overcome this limitation, integrated analysis was carried out using the magnetotelluric data on the corresponding area with potential data and we could obtain more reasonable geologic structure.

  • I proposed small ambulatory robot actuators using piezoelectric benders. In order to make the motion of the biomimetic robot legs similar to the movements of the cockroaches or similar insects, two pairs of legs in the diagonal direction in the four leg structures are required to make the same movement. And elliptical displacement is realized by taking into account horizontal and vertical displacement of multimode oscillations and driving them by electrical signals with differences step by step, for example of 90° the T-shaped robot actuator showed wide range of speed (From 2 mm/sec. up to 266 mm/sec.) and ability of transportation (up to 10 g with 50 mm/s). Locomotive performance of the robot was competitive to the preceding robots, and moreover, the modular type actuators of a segmented myriapods robot could be added and removed for different tasks or performances.

Evaluation of River Flood Stability after River Restoration (하천 복원 후의 홍수위 안정성 검토)

  • The eco-friendly river restoration issue has been increased and the importance of the vegetation along the river banks has been understood with its scenery and significant role. However vegetation reduces the stream flow cross section and brings negative effects such as increase of water flow resistance and decreases of river flow velocity. In this study, the method to choose roughness coefficient is studied in the sudden changed hydraulic characteristics by river restoration. Using the HEC-RAS model and the two-dimensional vertical analysis method, Yangjae stream was calculated that the roughness coefficient of the main channel is 0.011~0.159 after river restoration, 0.031 without vegetation on the flood plain, and 0.034~0.506 with vegetation on the flood plain. The level of water in the river is predicted to rise 0.13~0.34m at 30% of vegetation density increase.

Characteristics of Heat Transfer of Natural Convection for Magnetic Fluids in Annular Pipes (이중원관내 자성유체의 자연대류에 대한 전열특성)

  • Compared with Newtonial fluids, magnetic fluids have effects on magnetic force. In this study, the purpose is to research the heat transfer characteristic of magnetic fluids which have metalic and fluid characteristics as the external pipe is being cooled and internal pipe is heated. This study found the experimental results from the study of the variety of natural convection for magnetic fluids and the characteristics of the heat transfer by using numerical analysis according to the strength and direction of the magnetic fields from being imposed from the outside. Natural convection of magnetic fluids was controlled by the impressed magnetic fields, and the result of mean nusselt number was calculated. If the impressed magnetic field is in the direction of gravity or the strength of impressed magnetic field is more than -14 mT in the opposite direction, the heat transfer is more than that without the impressed magnetic field. If the strength of impressed magnetic field is less than -14 mT in the opposite direction, it is smaller than that without the impressed magnetic field. Especially, when the strength of the magnetic field is -14 mT, the heat transfer was at the minimum.

Runoff Analysing Considering the Distribution of Conentration Time and Slope Length for a Small Basin (소유역의 홍수도달시간과 서면길이의 분포특성을 고려한 홍수유출해석)

  • The hydrologic response function in a small basin is expressed by the distribution function of slope length. The characteristics of topographical factors is represented to the concentration time, and the instantaneous unit hydrograph is derived as a hydrologic rsponse function by application of probobility density function. The averaging process of runoff characteristics within watershed was analyzed for a few small watershed where was split up the small basin itself. The method of calculation of the effective rainfall should play important roles in the transformation process from hydrologic response function to runoff hydrograph. In this paper, the Horton's infiltration quation is used as a method of calculation of effective rainfall, a new response function of runoff process is derived. The $\Phi$-index method and the infiltration method are tested by comparing the observed and estimated values.

  • It is important to ensure a uniform temperature distribution in greenhouses for the mushroom cultivation. The air temperature of the mushroom cultivation greenhouse is made uniform by supplying a constant air temperature with the underground air. The mushroom cultivation array in a greenhouse in seven columns and four rows can make smooth air flows between the rows and prevent air differences between the top and bottom. The buoyancy effect in the entering air of 0.5m/s based on following density difference depending on initial internal temperature needs to be considered. The locations of the Fan Coil Unit (FCU) and fan were defined through flow analysis in a greenhouse to distribute the optimal uniform temperature. In this study, the air conditioning system of a greenhouse with a sandwich heat insulting panel shape which is composed of a FCU and fan was designed by flow analysis. A relatively uniform temperature distribution can be formed because the circulation path of air becomes longer in the different locations of the FCU (inlet) and fan (outlet) through the internal temperature and flow analysis. The cultivation and quality uniformity of the mushrooms could be promoted through these environmental improvements.

Geology and Fracture Distribution in the Vicinities of the Cheonseong and Jeongjok Mountains (천성산과 정족산 일원의 지질과 단열 분포)

  • After detailed geological mapping, structural and fracture-density data were collected and analyzed in the vicinity of Cheonseong and Jeongjok Mts., Gyeongsangnam-do. A extensive dextral strike-slip fault (Beopgi Fault) Parallel to Yangsan and Dongrae Faults, a dextral-transtensional-NW fault, and a few intermittent faults have been found in the study area. Based on strike and frequency, fracture system has been divided into three sets such as NNE-trending J1 ($NS-40^{\circ}E$), WNW-trending J2 ($N50^{\circ}-80^{\circ}W$), and ENE-trending J3 ($N60^{\circ}-90^{\circ}E$). According to analysis of fracture density, it is revealed as follows: (a) Jl is the combination of Y-, P-, and R-shear fractures due to the dextral strike-slip of the Beopgi Fault. (b) J2 is the preexisted fracture zone conducting the intrusion of granite. Two tensional fractures dipping to NNE and SSW respectively have been induced by intrusion of granite and followed crustal uplift. (c) J3 is the tensional fracture developed between Yangsan and Dongrae Faults having NNE trend and dextral strike-slip sense. This study aims to reduce environmental impact and insure stability of underground facilities and tunnels.
