  • This study aimed to examine the effects of an art rehabilitation program developed based on the fine motor skills component of the Korean Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development(K-Bayley-III) on the fine motor development of children with developmental delays. Early intervention programs for children with developmental delays are crucial, as they can significantly enhance motor skills during formative stages. The study focused on a 36-month-old boy with delayed fine motor development, and the program was implemented twice a week for a total of 40 sessions. The program included the following areas: Eye Movement Control, Early Stage Hand Movements, Reaching in Space, Object Grasping and Manipulation, Bilateral Coordination, Pre-writing Skills and Pencil Grasp, Finger and Hand Movement Control, Tool Use and Motor Planning. Pre- and post-program assessments were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the program, and the changes in the child were qualitatively analyzed. The results confirmed that the child's scores in the fine motor domain improved and his hand and finger manipulation skills improved. This study suggests the use of an art rehabilitation program to promote fine motor development in children, and serves as a foundation for their further developmental progress.

  • The study examined how a specialized program combining art therapy and social skills training can reduce core ADHD symptoms in a child. This case study focused on a first-grade male student diagnosed with ADHD and involved 12 weekly sessions, each lasting 60 minutes, conducted at a counseling center in Seoul. The study's effectiveness was measured through pre- and post-assessments using the scales for inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity, and the process of change was analyzed qualitatively. The results indicated a decrease in attention deficit and noticeable improvements in hyperactivity and impulsivity following the intervention. These findings suggest that integrating art therapy with social skills training is an effective approach for alleviating primary ADHD symptoms, providing a promising strategy for treating children with ADHD.

  • The necessary rehabilitation training for patients with disability currently does not match the actual amount of training conducted, which requires interest in rehabilitation treatment, continued investment and infrastructure for rehabilitation contents, while the most common forms of rehabilitation treatment comprises of art, music, and play treatments. In this paper, we provide a game-style rehabilitation program including audio and visual elements through motion detection process on the patient and design a digital game rehabilitation program that allows different level of management for various categories of disabled people.

  • The objective of this study was to look into the effect of using Zentangle art therapy on improving the attention span of people with developmental disabilities in Lifelong Education Center. The 29 people with developmental disabilities in Lifelong Education Center of D-University in K-city were the subjects to reach the primary goal of this study. Nine of the subjects were assigned to the experimental group of the Zentangle art therapy, ten to the control group. As for the study tools, 3.5x3.5 inch paper card, various colors of Deco Markers, and Zentangle cards for the experimental group. The FAIR and MindWaveMobile (MWM) were used to measure the effectiveness. The twelve 30-minute sessions of the program, held from October to December in 2018, has shown the result that the attention span improved on the experimental group using the Zentangle art therapy.

  • The advent of digital media has facilitated easy access for adolescents to environments conducive to the purchase of narcotics. In particular, there's an increasing trend in the purchase and consumption of narcotics mediated through Social Network Services (SNS) and messenger services. Adolescents, sensitive to such environments, are at risk of experiencing neurological and mental health issues due to narcotic addiction, increasing their exposure to criminal activities, hence necessitating national-level management and support. Consequently, the quest for sustainable treatment methods for adolescents exposed to narcotics emerges as a critical challenge. In the context of high relapse rates in narcotic addiction, the necessity for cost-effective and user-friendly treatment programs is emphasized. This study conducts a literature review aimed at utilizing digital platforms to create an environment where adolescents can voluntarily participate, focusing on the development of therapeutic content through art. Specifically, it reviews societal perceptions and treatment statuses of adolescent drug addiction, analyzes the impact of narcotic addiction on adolescent brain activity and cognitive function degradation, and explores approaches for developing digital therapeutics to promote the rehabilitation of the addicted brain through analysis of precedential case studies. Moreover, the study investigates the benefits that the integration of digital therapeutic approaches and art therapy can provide in the treatment process and proposes the possibility of enhancing therapeutic effects through various treatment programs such as drama therapy, music therapy, and art therapy. The application of art therapy methods is anticipated to offer positive effects in terms of tool expansion, diversification of expression, data acquisition, and motivation. Through such approaches, an enhancement in the effectiveness of treatments for adolescent narcotic addiction is anticipated. Overall, this study undertakes foundational research for the development of digital therapeutics and related applications, offering economically viable and sustainable treatment options in consideration of the societal context of adolescent narcotic addiction.
