Analysis of Normal Shock-Wave Oscillation in a Supersonic Diffuser (초음속 디퓨져에서 발생하는 수직충격파 진동의 이론해석)

  • Shock-wave in a supersonic diffuser flow cannot be stable even in the given pressure ratio which remains constant over time, and oscillates around a certain time-mean position. In the present study, oscillation of a normal shock-wave in a supersonic diffuser was analyzed by a small perturbation method. Upstream pressure perturbation was applied to a supersonic diffuser flow with a normal shock-wave. Stability of shock-wave was investigated by considering the diffuser pressure recovery and frequency of the pressure perturbation. The results obtained show that a stable oscillation of weak normal shock-wave is obtainable for the flow with the Mach number over 1.74. The ratio of sound pressures downstream to upstream of the shock wave increases with increase of the Mach number. The present results agree well with other analytical and experimental results.

  • 원자로 압력용기 재료인 SA508-3 강의 인장소성변형에 따른 자기적 성질변화를 연구하였다. 소성변형에 따른 보자력, 잔류자화, 자기이력손실 및 Barkhausen Noise의 변화를 측정하였으며, 변형에 따른 자기적성질의 변화를 자구와 전위와의 상호작용으로 설명하였다. 강자성체의 자기적 성질과 기계적 성질 사이는 밀접한 관련이 있으며, 이를 이용하면 압력용기강의 조사효과 평가에 적용 할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

  • 본 연구에서는 형상을 미소하게 변화시켜 좌굴을 방지할 수 있는 최적 도움형 상을 설계하였고 타원형, 토리-구형도움의 가장 얕은 형태의 최적도움형상도 설계하였] 으며, 실제 적용예를 수치로 제시하였다. 또한 수압(hydrostatic pressure)을 받는 수조(reservoir)의 도움형상에 대해서도 직경 및 길이 변화에 따른 형상설계 결과를 제시하였다.

  • 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널(PDP)는 미소체적의 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD)를 이용한 한 예로 볼 수 있다. PDP 셀은 실험을 통하여 방전 특성을 분석하기에 아주 작은 크기이기 때문에 시뮬레이션을 이용하는 것이 방전 특성을 분석하기에 유용하다. 시뮬레이션 방법 중 유체 시뮬레이션은 높은 압력에서 기체 방전을 분석하기에 아주 유용한 방법이다. PDP 전극 각도를 바꿈으로써 발광 효율을 높일 수 있음이 논문으로 발표 되었다. 이 발표에서는 2차원 유체 시뮬레이션을 사용하여 전극의 각도 변화뿐만 아니라 전극 간격과 압력 변화에 따른 방전 특성 변화를 연구하였다. 평판 전극의 각도 변화에 따라 전기장 세기, 방전 공간 내 전하 및 여기된 입자수 및 분포, 방전 개시 전압 등의 진단을 통하여 결과를 분석하였다. 전극 간격이 길어질수록 convex 구조의 효율 증가가 크게 나타났으며 압력이 커질수록 concave 구조의 효율 증가가 크게 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate spray characteristics of GDI injector that is economic and environment-friendly. Injector characteristics such as penetration length, spray angle and mixture formation were measured using experimental visualization technique. Especially, it has been analyzed that the influences of ambient pressure and injection pressure on penetration length and spray angle. To visualize the spray, a constant volume combustion chamber and fuel supply system have been manufactured. A high-speed camera and LED light source have been applied to obtain spray images. The experimental and visualization result shows that the penetration length is increased as decreasing ambient pressure and/or increasing injection pressure. Also, ambient pressure and injection pressure have minor effect on the spray angle variation.

  • In the present experimental study, the effect of interfacial tensions on pressure drop of air-water two-phase flow in round mini-channels was investigated. A glass (highly wettable) tube and a Teflon (poorly wettable) tube, both in 350 mm length but 1.8 mm and 1.59 mm in inner diameters each, were used for the tests. All the experiments were performed only in the plug flow regime, confirmed by visualization. In the glass tube, the gas plugs were surrounded by the liquid film along the inner periphery. On the other hand, the inner wall remained dry at the gas portion in the Teflon tube. The pressure drop of the plug flow in the Teflon tube without the liquid film) appeared much larger than in the glass tube (with the liquid film) due to dissipation of energy by movement of the wetting lines. In this paper, various correlations on the two-phase pressure drop of plug flows were compared and a modified correlation was proposed, taking account of the surface wettability.

An Experimental Study on Regime Limit and Pressure Drop of Dry-plug Flow in Round Mini-channels (원형 미소 채널 내 드라이 플러그류의 유동 영역 한계와 압력 강하에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In the present experimental study, the regime limit and pressure drop of dry-plug flow (dry wall condition at the gas portions of plug flow) in round mini-channels has been investigated. The air-water mixture was flowed through the round mini-channels made of Teflon, where the tube diameters ranged from 1.26 to 2.06 mm. For the present experimental range, with decreasing of the tube diameter, the transition between the plug and slug flows (wet and dry) happened at the higher gas superficial velocity region, which were in good agreement with the previous flow pattern maps tested. On the other hand, the transition between the wet- and dry-plug flows was little affected by the change of the tube diameter. In the pressure drop of dry-plug flows, among the correlations tested, the Lee and Lee's (2008) correlation best fitted the measured pressure drop data within the mean deviation of 10% for the present experimental range.

  • The pressure effect of voltammetric parameters for the oxidation of Bilirubin in 0.1 M TEAP-DMSO solution at micro Pt electrode has been investigated. With increasing the pressure from 1 to 1,800 bars, the peak potential of oxidation wave shifted to the more positive potential. The peak current becomes considerably smaller with increasing the pressure. The oxidation currents of Bilirubin was found to be diffusion controlled over all pressure ranges. The reversibility of oxidation step did not change with increasing pressure. The linear relationships were observed over all pressure ranges (1-1,800 bars).
