  • 미성형은 수지 점도가 높거나 유동경로가 너무 제한적이거나 혹은 용융 수지가 일찍 고화되어 금형내에 수지가 완전히 충전되지 않고 냉각 및 고화되는 현상을 말한다. 일반적으로 수지의 유동성이 부족하기 때문에 금형 전체에 수지가 미치지 못하여 일어난다고 생각되는 수가 많으나 반드시 그것만이 아니고 그 외에 여러 가지 원인이 있을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제 현장에서 미성형이 발생한 제품을 대상으로 이를 해결하기 위해 여러 가지 공정조건을 바꾸어서 시뮬레이션을 여러번 반복해 봄으로써, 사출압력, 금형온도, 사출속도, 용융수지온도와 같은 공정조건들이 미성형에 미치는 영향을 각각 시뮬레이션을 통하여 고찰하여 보았다.

Back-pressure cold forging analysis to minimize non-forming area of gear teeth (기어 치형의 미성형 구간 최소화를 위한 배압 냉간 단조 성형 해석)

  • This study performed the back-pressure cold forging analysis to minimize the non-forming area of gear teeth for the output hub and reaction hub in automatic transmission. Two important factors of the back-pressure cold forging process, the load of the punch and the backup force applied to the sleeve, were determined through displacement control analysis. The non-forming area of the gear teeth was compared with both cases of the displacement control analysis and load control analysis, and their solution is similar to the measuring result of a real workpiece. The results show that the load of the punch is dependent on the reduction area of the workpiece, and the backup force applied to the sleeve is determined with regard to the cross-section-area of sleeve. This analysis procedure can be useful and effective in determining the manufacturing condition of the back-pressure cold forging process to minimize the non-forming area.

Optimum Design of Rubber Injection Molding Process for the Preparation of Anti-vibration Rubber (방진고무사출성형의 적정설계)

  • The optimum mold design and the optimum process condition were constructed upon executing process simulation of rubber injection molding with the commercial CAE program of MOLDFLOW(Ver. 5.2) in order to solve the process-problems of K company relating to air-traps and short-shots. The former occurs at the cavity edge of torque-rod-bush and the latter takes place for the injection molding of dynamic dampers. As a result the process problem relating to air traps was solved by optimizing edge-angle and the number of gates to prevent the flow congestion of flow-front and to make the flow-front movement unaffected by congestion. For dynamic dampers of K company the unmolded flaw caused by their unfilled cavity was corrected by installing the air-vent at the confronting locations of both upstream and downstream of flow-front where air traps frequently occur. Besides the unmolded flaws were rectified by altering the position of gate from the upper to the middle or by increasing the number of gates. Thus the process problems of K company relating to air-traps and short-shots of torque-rod-bush and dynamic dampers, respectively, were solved by proper altering of mold design with process simulation of rubber injection molding.

  • 본 연구에서는 사각형태 화장품 케이스 사출성형 시 발생되었던 수지 미성형 불량을 해결하기 위하여 사출성형해석 기술을 통해 성형품 형상변경 및 사출금형 내 유동 시스템 수정방안 도출을 수행하였다. 대상제품인 사각형태 화장품 케이스는 상측부 케이스로서 케이스 외관에 게이트 및 취출흔적이 남지 않아야 함에 따라 측면부 게이트 적용으로 유동거리가 길어져 미성형 불량이 다수 발생하는 제품이다. 따라서, 수지 유동성 향상과 더불어 효율적인 보압전달을 통하여 수지 충전 및 변형발생 저감을 위하여 성형품 형상변화 및 유동시스템 변화에 따른 사출성형해석을 수행하고 결과를 고찰하였다. 이로써 최종적으로 수지 미충전으로 인한 미성형 불량을 제거하고 성형품 변형을 줄일 수 있는 수지유동시스템 수정방안을 제시하였다.

Remedial actions to control the process conditions can be taken by the injection molding experts based on their knowledge and experience. However, it is very difficult for the non-experts to avoid short shot by finding the proper process conditions such as mold temperature, melt temperature and filling time. In this paper, an intelligent generator of the optimal process conditions based upon fuzzy logic algorithm is proposed so that trial and error can be minimized and the non-experts as well as the experts can also find the optimal process conditions.

A Comparative Study on the Perceptions towards Personal Mobility Vehicle between Adults and Minors (개인형 이동수단에 관한 법·제도 개선방안 연구: 연령별 차이를 중심으로)

  • Recently, there has been an increase of accidents related to the rise in the use of Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV). To solve this problem, the National Assembly announced an amendment that restricted the use of PMV to bicycle roads and to prohibited for people under 13 years old to use PMV, but there is no detailed information about travel speed and safety. In this study, a survey was conducted by dividing the group into minors and adults based on the age of obtaining a driver's license to find out the direction of improvement of laws and systems about PMV. Our results showed that adults considered PMV as more dangerous (Adults 5.50, Minors 4.94) and the suggested age for PMV use was lower from minors than adults (Adults 15.70, Minors 13.85). We found that proper travel speed on bicycle roads differed according to the presence of a driveway (Driveway 26.21 km/h, Non-Driveway 23.55 km/h) and minors had higher a travel speed than adults on all types of bicycle road. Also, Helmets for PMV were seen as the most important safety equipment on all types of bicycle road. and the importance of other safety equipment differed according to the presence of a driveway (Driveway Front-Lighting, Non-Driveway Car Horn). Through this study, It proposes that we have to make new regulations about the use of front lights and horns, as well as enforcement measures that differentiate the speed on each bicycle road type as a way to improve the laws and systems for PMV.

A Study on manufacturing of Injection Mold and Delivery System Characteristics of Cosmic case (화장품 용기의 유동 특성 및 사출금형 제작에 관한 연구)

  • A cosmetic manufacturing process requires a mold that is inevitable for mass production. Cosmetic containers are one of major factors affecting the customer's purchase decision. In addition, the manufacturing cost in cosmetic container comprises a large portion of the entire product cost. Therefore, a mold satisfying the economical feasibility, aesthetics and functionality is necessary. Among the cosmetic containers, square shape containers have a tendency of having a short shot defect product. The square shaped cosmetic containers are mostly produced as a side gate shape on the two-plate molds. On the other hand, there are two disadvantages, such as gate trace and post processing requirement. The overlap-gateproposed in this study has the characteristics of intaglio gate cutting and no need for post processing. The delivery system of the overlap gate was simulated and compared with the side gate via Moldflow. The improvement in flow, frozen rate, density, and Air trap was confirmed. Based on the simulation results, the mold and performed injection molding was fabricated. In this study, the possibility of the mass production of high aesthetic and functionality cosmetic containers was verified.
