In the course of taxonomical studies of oribatid mites, two genera, Acrotocepheus Aoki, 1965 and Humerobates Sellnick, 1928, and their species, A. gracilis Aoki, 1965 and H. flechtmanni Perez-Inigo ＆ Perez-Inigo Jr, 1993, are recorded for the first time in Korea.

Given that the Korean genus Elymus L. (Poaceae) is often confused with Agropyron Gaertn., the categories and characteristics of Elymus s.l. have been reviewed morphologically. Two unrecorded taxa of Elymus, E. humidus (Ohwi & Sakam.) T. Osada and E. shandongensis B. Salomon, not previously recorded in Korean flora to date, we report here as an unrecorded species based on samples collected from Chungcheongbuk-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, Jeollanam-do, and Jeollabuk-do. E. humidus is distinguished from other taxa in terms of its habitat around riversides, erect inflorescences, spikelets appressed to rachides of inflorescence, and new individuals asexually propagated at the lower nodes of aerial stems. E. shandongensis is similar to E. tsukushiensis var. transiens (Hack.) H. Osada but is distinguished by the flowering time, slightly curved inflorescences, number of veins of the glumes, and spikelets appressed to the rachides. Descriptions of the two unrecorded Korean taxa, photographs, and keys to neighboring taxa are presented.

The fungal flora of Korean wood-rotting fungi were studied for two years from March of 1990 to February of 1992. Fresh fungi were collected from national parks, some local areas, and several islands throughout the country. Fleshy ascomycetes and jelly fungi were examined through identification and literature studies. They were counted 52 species, 1 subspecies, and 1 forma among which, Hypoxylon and Femsjonia were confirmed as unrecorded genera and Hypoxylon punctulatum, Exidia recisa, and Femsjonia pezizaeformis as unrecorded species to Korea and are registered here with descriptions.

Seven species of Tortricinae [Homonipisis rubens Kuznetsov, Syndemis musculana (Hubner), Tosirips perpulchranus (Kennel), Cnephasia cinereipalpana Razowski, Pandemis monticolana Yasuda, Gnorismoneura mesotoma (Yasuda) and Pseudargyrotoza conwagana (Fabricius)] are reported for the first time from Korea.

A historical review of Trichoptera systematics in Korea and diagnoses for 10 newly recorded species of Limnephiloidea are provided: two species, Gumaga orientalis (Martynov) and Ganonema extensum Martynov, are newly recorded from the Korean peninsula, seven species, Goera interrogationis Botosaneanu, G. parvula Martynov, Apatania sinensis Martynov, Ecclisomyia kamtshatica (Martynov), Hydatophylax magnus (Martynov), Goerodes albardanus (Ulmer), and Dinarthrum coreanum (Kumanski and Weaver), and newly recorded from South Korea, and the adult stage of Neophylax ussuriensis (Martynov) is newly recorded from South Korea.

Fresh fungi were collected during field trips to Ullung Island from August, 1990, to September, 1991. Among them, some polyporoid fungi were recognized to the species. Thirty three species were identified, among which nine fungi were confirmed new in Korea and registered here with descriptions. These fungi are Auriporia aurulenta, Ceriporiopsis gilvescens, Ceriporiopsis subvermispora, Gloeophyllum trabeum, Junghuhnia separabilima, Oligoporus stipticus, Oxyporus similis, Phellinus lavigatus, and Polyporus melanopus.

The four specimens of Clariger cosmurus, belonging to the family gobiidae were collected from the southern costal region of Korea, and described as the first record from Korea. The specimens are characterized by having two dorsal fins, a few barbels below the eye, and dark brownish line along lateral body from tip of snout to caudal peduncle. We propose a new Korean name of the genus Clariger, C. cosmurus as respectively Wae-mang-duk sok and Wae-mang-duk, for the species.

Two species of the genus Myrmica Latreille, 1804, M. ademonia Bolton, 1995 and M. luteola Kupyanskaya, 1990, were reported in Korea for the first time. Morphological characteristics for workers of these two species are described.

Two species of the Korean Agaricales are described and illustrated in this paper. Two genera Cystoagaricus and Limacella are new to Korean agaric flora. All of these, Cystoagaricus strobilomyces and Limacella glioderma are recorded for the first time in the Korean fungus flora. The collections cited are all preserved in the Herbarium Conservation Center of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
