Nonstationary Response Analysis of Offshore Guyed Tower for Strong Earthquakes (비정상과정의 강한 지진에 대한 해양 가이드 타워의 동력학적 응답해석)

  • A method for nonstationary response analysis of an offshore guyed tower subjected to earthquake loading is presented. The nonstationarity of the earthquake excitation is modeled by imposing a time varying envelope function onto a stationary random model. By taking the envelope function and the auto-correlation function of ground acceleration in terms of complex exponential functions of time, an analytical procedure is developed for computing time varying variances of the tower response. Example analysis indicates that the maximum responses estimated by considering nonstationary effect properly are significantly less than those obtained by the conventional frequency domain analysis method based upon the stationary assumption.

방사성물질의 해양중 거동특성 평가

  • 영광원전주변 해양에서 조사된 환경방사능 조사결과를 토대로 Cs-137과 Sr-90 방사성물질의 해수와 부유물에서 분포특성과 해양생물로의 전이.농축특성을 분석하였다. 방사성물질의 분포특성 분석은 해양에서 방사성물질의 용해성과 부유물에의 흡착성 평가뿐 아니라 방사성물질의 해양확산을 평가하는데 필수적 요소이다. 지금까지는 방사성물질의 해양확산 평가시 완전 용해성으로 가정하여 단순한 해수유동 특성만을 고려하여 평가하였으나, 흡착성 등 물리화학적 거동특성을 평가함으로써 좀더 사실적인 해양확산을 평가할 수 있다. 평가결과 Cs-137과 Sr-90의 분포특성을 나타내는 분배계수가 각각 8.1$\pm$1.4E-4, 7.4$\pm$2.3E-5 로 나타났다. 이는 두 핵종 모두 용해성이 높고 흡착성이 낮음을 보여준다. 그리고 Cs-137과 Sr-90에 비해 상대적으로 흡착성이 높게 나타나고 있다. 또 전이.농축특성 분석결과는 김에서 Cs-137과 Sr-90의 전이.농축계수가 66과 3, 서대와 병어에서는 122.5와 6, 패류에서는 Sr-90의 전이.농축계수가 6으로 나타났다. Sr-90은 전반적으로 전이.농축계수가 낮게 나타나 생물체에유입되더라도 쉽게 배출돼 축적경향이 매우 낮음을 보여준다. 반면 Cs-137은 Sr-90에 비해 상대적으로 농축특성이 높게 나타나고 있다. 향후 이를 토대로 해역의 고유 환경특성에 맞는 방사성물질의 해양중 거동특성을 고려한 해양확산평가 및 해양감시가 이뤄져야할 것이다.

Development of the Simplified Analysis Model for RC Structures Considering Plastic Behavior (소성거동을 고려한 RC 구조물의 간략화 해석모델에 관한 연구)

  • RC structure is the composite material system combined concrete and steel showing different plastic behavior. Especially, concrete shows very complex plastic behavior. Therefore, for plastic analysis of RC structures, we have to model carefully each plastic behavior of concrete and steel member. But, because of divergency as well as difficulties and dimensions of modelling, it takes a lot of time and labor or sometimes it is impossible to perform plastic analysis of RC structures. In this study, for simplified plastic analysis of RC structures, we propose material transformation method by homogeneous and isotropic material which have the same plastic property as RC. We generate homogeneous and isotropic material showing the same moment-curvature curves (bi-linear stress-strain relation) as RC members, using bi-linear moment-curvature relation by yielding moment, yielding curvature and ultimate moment, ultimate curvature of RC member. Finally, we prove compatibility in the study by comparing plastic analysis results for various analysis models using transformed material models and RC model.

  • High-rise building for dwelling has many factors to be considered in structural aspects. In particular, the higher the building, the bigger the lateral loads such as wind and earthquake due to its dynamic characteristics. Unlike the wind load, the earthquake load, even if the shape of the structures are similar, depends on structural characteristics and it is difficult to predict. For an apartment building, the water tank in the penthouse, due to its heavy weight, changes the behavior of a building when the earthquake occurs. The purpose of this study is to determine how the water tank affects the behavior of an apartment building when earthquake occurs. Dynamic analysis was accomplished on two cases - 1) water tank is considered 2) water tank is not considered - to understand how it affects the behavior of a high-rise apartment building. Structural design was accomplished to understand how the water tank and the peak acceleration affects each structural member. The effect of the water tank on the response of structure was large. Elsewhere the water tank has no effect on the design of a strutural member. However some structural members were affected when the peak acceleration of an earthquake is 0.4g.

  • 성능에 기초한 내진설계에서는 구조물이 보유하고 있는 능력을 효과적으로 파악하기 위해서 비선형 정적 해석이 적용되고 있다. 그러나 비선형 정적해석은 고차모드에 대한 효과를 고려하지 못함으로써 고층구조물이나 비정형 구조물과 같은 경우에는 정확한 비선형 지진응답의 산정과 내진성능을 평가하는데 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 건축구조물의 선형 및 비선형 지진응답 평가를 위하여 응답 스펙트럼해석을 통하여 얻어지는 층전단력으로부터 층하중을 산정하는 유사동적해석법이 적용되었다. 제안된 방법을 비선형 정적 해석에 적용하여 구조물의 비선형 자동응답을 비선형 시간이력해석의 결과와 비교하였다. 기존의 층분포하중에 의한 비선형 지진응답과 비교하였으며, 제안된 방법에 의한 지진 응답이 구조물의 비선형 거동특성을 가장 정확하게 표현하였다. 그러므로 본 연구에서 제안된 방법을 사용하여 비선형 정적 해석을 수행한다면 비교적 명확한 건축물의 비선형 거동특성과 내진성능을 평가할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

A Seismic Behavior of a 3-dimensional Irregular Setback Structure (3차원 비정형 Setback 구조물의 지진 거동)

  • Seismic behavior of 3-dimensional setback structures showing abrupt reductions of the floor size within the structure height and the effect of in-plane deformations of floor slabs on the seismic behavior of those structures are investigated. To find out general seismic behavior of 3-dimensional setback structures two parameters, level of setback(L/sub s/) and degree of setback(R/sub s/) are used. Analysis results obtained from forty eight setback structures show that a sudden change in story shear near setback level is occurred for irregular setback structures. The effect of in-plane deformation of floor slabs on the seismic behavior of setback structures is greatly influenced by the arrangement of lateral load resisting elements and it is more pronounced for frame-shear wall system showing large difference in stiffness among the lateral load resisting elements. The in-plane deformation of floor slabs results in reduced base shear, especially for FW-type structures with L/sub s/=1.0. Also, it brings about reduced story shear for the lateral load resisting element with shear wall and increase in story shear lot the lateral load resisting element without shear wall. The in-plane deformation of floor slabs at the base portion and/or tower portion due to difference in stiffness among the lateral load resisting elements brings about increment of floor displacements at all floor level.

Hydrodynamic Response Analysis of Hybrid Floating Structure according to Length of Damping Plate (수평감쇠판 길이에 따른 하이브리드 부유식 구조물의 거동 특성 분석)

  • New businesses such as marine leisure and floating construction have recently flourished on the coast. As a result, consideration is given to a floating structure appropriate for marine environments. In this study, we applied a damping plate to increase the stability of a hybrid floating structure that was expanded by vertical and horizontal stacking of mobile unit modules. In the numerical analysis using ANSYS AQWA, the behavioral characteristics of the floating structure were analyzed according to the length change of the damping plate. However, the wave forces acting on a floating structure are excessively calculated by the resonance of fluid surrounded by the structure in the numerical analysis using potential flow. Therefore, we used the damping zone option of the ANSYS AQWA in the frequency domain analysis.

  • 빗물 유출량 제어를 위한 빗물 저류 시설에서 지금까지는 저류되는 용량이 주된 관심사였다. 많은 물을 순간적으로 저류하여 지체시킴으로서 유출량을 감소시키는 것이 목적이었다. 하지만 이러한 빗물저류시설은 저류기능 뿐만 아니라 침전에 의한 수질개선효과도 가지고 있다. 이렇게 저류된 물을 갈수기에는 화장실 용수나 잡용수로 사용할 수도 있고, 수질 개선을 통하여 하수 오염 부하량의 경감효과까지 노릴 수 있다. 이러한 수질개선 효과를 알아보기 위해서는 빗물 저류시설의 수리학적 흐름특성과 입자의 거동파악이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamic)를 이용하여 빗물저류시설 중 하나인 빗물저장조의 수리학적 흐름특성 및 입자의 거동을 살펴보았다. 빗물저장조는 유출입패턴이 불규칙하다. 이를 크게 네 가지 경우로 나누어 살펴보면, 유입만 있고 유출이 없는 경우(Case 1), 유입과 유출이 동시에 있는 경우(Case 2), 유출입이 모두 없는 경우(Case 3), 유출만 있고 유입이 없는 경우(Case 4)로 살펴 볼 수 있다. 기존의 수량 측면에만 한정되었던 빗물 저류 시설에 대한 연구를 수자원 절약과 수질 개선을 통한 하수도 오염 부하량 감소의 측면을 덧붙여 빗물 저류 시설의 목적 범위를 확장할 수 있다.

  • Recently, the externally prestressed unbonded steel I-beam bridges have been increasingly built. The mechanical behavior of prestressed steel I-beams which are with external unbonded tendon is different from that of normal bonded PSC beams in a point of that the slip of tendons at deviators and the change of tendon eccentricity occurs, when external loads are applied in external unbonded steel I-beams. The concept of prestressing steel structures has not been widely considered, in spite of long and successful history of prestressing concrete members. In this study, The field experiment on prestressed steel I-beams has been performed in the various aspects of prestressed I-beam including the tend on type and profile.

Behavior Characteristics of Fluoride with pH, Ion Type and Concentration, and Sediment Characteristics in River (pH, 이온종류 및 농도, 퇴적물의 성분에 따른 하천 내 불소의 거동특성)

  • Water quality is affected by the pollutants flowing into rivers since the interaction between water bodies and sediments in various environmental conditions. Especially, accumulation of sediments increases in the stagnant water areas due to a relative long hydrological retention time in the water bodies. Therefore, it is an important factor of water quality to understand characterization of the material behavior in water bodies and sediments. In this study, the objective of the conditional experiments was small and medium sized streams located in Gyeonggi-do. To estimate how the changes of fluoride behavior, depending on the pH, ion type, concentration, and clay contents. The pH results showed a trend that adsorption amount of fluorine decreased and the dissolution of fluorine increased following by pH increasing. The concentration and type of ions results showed that $Cl^-$ and $SO{_4}^{2-}$ ions had no significant effect on the adsorption ability of fluorine, the amount of dissolution was increased because $OH^-$ ion had active competition with fluorine in the reaction. The ingredient of sediment results showed that the amounts of fluoride adsorption and dissolution were reduced in samples, which contain relatively large amounts of Silt and Clay components. This means that the environmental conditions of water bodies greatly affect the adsorption and dissolution of fluoride in the sediments, so that proper management of fluoride in the sediments must precede an understanding of the environmental conditions of the water bodies.
