Africa has got largely attention from around the world and industrial advanced countries mainly have focused their interest on the continent for the purposes of natural resources development or economic cooperation. Such is in part for their exploiting new logistics. Central America, Oceania and Africa are together now emerging as a new mecca for resources development and global logistics. Considering that Western countries are heavily investing in and preoccupying both social overhead infrastructure and logistics in Africa, it is expected that it will be new opportunities for domestic logistics companies. This research is focused on studying strategies for logistics companies to open Africa, especially Northern African market. For this, the method of questionnaire is applied for related companies. And it also considers proper time for the opening the market, how to enter, geographical market range and interests of countries there. From the result, it is important the timing for entering the market, which means competitive edge gets better with fast making inroads into the market. And strategic alliance is revealed more effective. In addition, geographical market range is another important factor in low infrastructure of logistics in Africa. It is shown that relations between governments have directly effect on business activities. It should be kept in mind that African countries have their big influences on the market.

This study aims to contribute regional economic development by means of searching port logistics industry activation scheme of Gangwon province which has locational advantage around the East Sea Region. Thus, this thesis was provided the port logistics industry activation schemes of that region in the point of local and government view. In the local government level, this study was provided the selection of a key port and its intensive development, establishment of port networking among major port and e-port system of this region, and enlargement of the FTA etc. Also this study was required the relative industry invitation and upbringing, and intensive port logistics marketing activity. On the other hand, in the government level, it needs larger SOC investment for enlargement of direct accessibility and connection to the Gangwon-do ports, and required the intensive and efficient support. Finally, it was proposed the establishment of the total logistics expert education system.

우리나라 상품의 대외경쟁력은 대체적으로 국내 물류비에서 결정된다. 이 좁은 국토(거리상으로)에서 왜 그리도 많은 내륙 물류비를 부담해야 하는 지 많은 이들이 의아해 한다. 제대로 갖추어져 있지 못한 국가차원의 사회간접자본(SOC) 시설, 승용차 중심의 도로운송시스템도 문제지만 제품공장과 수출입관문인 항만.공항간의 연결점에 있는 물류거점시설들이 활성화돼 있지 않다는 것이 요인으로 지적되고 있다. 민간업자 차원에서는 국토 요소요소에 물류센타를 세워놓고 고객들의 화물에 대한 일괄 물류서비스를 제공하려고 많은 노력들을 하고 있다. 이곳에서는 보관, 재고관리, 유통가공, 보세운송, 수배송, 물류대행, 물류컨설팅 등 종합(통합) 물류서비스들이 이루어진다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 물류센터의 실태를 조사하여 수요에 따른 물류센터의 공급능력을 평가하면서 물류의 일괄서비스 측면에서의 효율성을 점검해 보고져 한다. 또한 향후 이 분야에 있는 연구나 조사 필요성이 있는 과제가 무엇인지를 검토하여 단계별 연구과제를 정의하여 체계적인 연구가 진행될 수 있도록 하는데 그 믿걸음이 되고져 한다.

Area type is often used in freight demand analysis and logistics planning models. For example, in freight transportation planning. area type variable is most often commonly used in freight generation (attraction) model. Yet a reliable, forecastable and measurable definition or area type is generally not documented. In fact, there is little literature on the subject of predicting area type in the context of freight planning models. This can be troublesome when applying models to long-range logistics planning where significant changes in population and employment result in changes in the general character of an area. Through the use of Discriminant Model, GIS (Geographic Information System) analysis and Delphi methods, this paper presents the successful exploration for a quantifiable means of determining area type.

지식정보사회로의 가속화는 국가의 새로운 역할을 요구하고 있다. 이 중 가장 중요한 것이 사회변화에 앞서가는 새로운 개념의 국가 사회간접자본의 확충이 될 것이다. 사회간 접자본(SOC)은 경제, 사회, 안보 등 국가의 모든 영역에 파급효과를 미치는 국민 경제의 기반을 제공함과 동시에 모든 국민 생활과 삶의 질 제고에 필요한 바탕을 제공하며 궁극적으로 국가경쟁력의 핵심역할을 한다. 하지만, 우리나라의 사회간접자본은 그동안의 지속적인 확충에도 불구하고 선진국에 비해 사회간접자본의 경쟁력이 취약한 것이 사실이다. 따라서 기존 사회간접자본와 우리나라의 첨단 디지털인프라(ICT)의 발전적 결합을 통해 사회간접자본을 지능화.첨단화하여 교통, 물류 등 사회 각 분야의 경쟁력을 높이는 한편, 다양한 부가가지 창출의 기회와 편익을 제공하는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

정부는 최근 인천, 부산, 광양 등 3개 지역 경제자유구역청을 조직$\cdot$인사$\cdot$재정 등에서 자율성과 독립적인$\cdot$허가권을 행사하는 특별지방자치단체로 격상키로 하였다. 외자유치를 통한 원스톱 행정서비스를 제공하기 위해서다. 현재는 외자유치시 각 상급 지자체를 돌아다니며 인허가를 받아야 하기 때문이다. 하지만 특별지자체는 통상의 지자체와 구별되기 때문에 상위 단체의 규제를 받지 않고, 외자유치 등의 특수 목적을 위해서는 최대한의 자율적 권한을 갖게 된다. 이렇듯 정부에서도 경제자유구역청에 많은 관심과 힘을 쏟고 있다고 할 수 있다. 3개 지역의 경제자유구역청 중 가장 왕성한 활동을 펼치면서 외자유치에 모범이 되는 곳이 있다. 바로 광양만권경제자유구역청. 지난해 3월에 개청되어 타 경제자유구역청보다 늦게 출발하였지만 그 결과는 정 반대다. 광양만권경제자유구역청의 초대 청장으로 부임한 백옥인 청장은 포스코터미널 등 8개 업체로부터 9034만달러의 투자를 유치하고 국내외 15개 업체와 2조 720억원에 달하는 투자의향서를 교환하는 등 광양만권을 발전시키기 위해 노력하고 있다. 나아가, 광양에 대한 국제 인지도를 높이고 도로 등 SOC를 확충해 기본적인 투자환경을 조성해 가면서, 동북아 경제 및 물류 거점도시로 발돋움하기 위한 구체적인 계획을 하나하나 펼쳐 나가고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to construct the logistics infrastructure for the exploitation of Saemangeum New Port that will be constructed in near future. To accomplish the purpose, this paper grasp the change of port logistics circumstances firstly. find out the project of the new port and construct the logistics infrastructure for the new port with the basic facts of the port competitiveness. The construction of the logistics infrastructure for the exploitation of Saemangeum New Port will be conducted as follows ; (1) Construction of logistics environment (2) Planning the port marketing for the extension a logistic market share (3) Construction of logistics chain and IT Network and finally (4) Construction of logistics community.

As the Kyoto protocol and Bali road-map, our country is expected to be included to the emission reduction controlled country of greenhouse gas, so we are now urgent situation to take an action in the level of government. In this research, environment friendly rail logistics and combined transport were treated to meet with the green growth policy of our government. Major problems of Ui-wang ICD suggested in this research are short of yards, unutilized public CY, inconvenience use by non-share holders. It is necessary to improve rail logistic infrastructure, that is, additional expansion of yard, direct operation by KORAIL and regular unloading system are needed. such improvement can not be solved just by the endeavor of business body. Rail logistic infra & Integrated freight terminal has a tendency of SOC, which require tremendous amount of investment, so there are some limit in doing by private sector itself, now it's time to do by the government level. The improvement of rail logistic infrastructure in the level of government is possible by the policy of environment friendly green logistic support which is related with Logistic Policy Basic Law, so government should prepare detailed directives to activate Integrated freight terminal.

This paper is aimed to analysis the logistics system of the Jeju island. Jeju island has a special feature about logistics system different from inland. In recent gradually increase of the jeju freight volumes but it has some problems about the port facilities shortage. We try to find the problems of the jeju and propose that an improvement plan.
