This study investigated the characteristics for the optimal concentration of addition of the mixing solution through the corn husk pulverization and surface modification of biomass byproducts adding mixed solution between ESO and silane. And surveyed the specific surface area, water absorption, particle size and physical properties of bio- degradable plastic sheet. The specific surface area was 1.105 m2/g, particle size was the highest at 19 ㎛. The impact strength, tensile strength, elongation and hardness of plastic sheet showed the highest at the 1% concentration among the mixing solutions. The flexural strength and modulus was high according to the increasing the mixing solution. The results above showed that it was the best the adding 1% of mixed solution after silane treatment of corn husks for its manufacture as a bio-based plastic sheet.
This study analyzed changes in the market concentration of Korean ocean-going shipping companies using shipping revenue based CR (Concentration Ratio), and HHI (Herfindahl - Hirschman Index) to examine the effects of the government's selection and concentration based the shipping reconstruction scheme. The results of this study showed that the market structure of the Korean shipping industry has changed from a competitive market to a rather concentrated market, as CR as well as HHI values have increased from 2019 to 2021. In particular, the market share of the deep-sea shipping lines has risen significantly compared to the intra-Asian short-sea shipping lines and the tramp carriers, implying that the Korean liner shipping market has become a monopoly, or highly concentrated oligopoly market. Compared to other shipping markets, the high rise in ocean freight rates (i.e. Asia-Europe America) was the leading cause of the increase in the revenues of the ocean-going shipping lines, and the increased fleet through preemptive government support has enabled them to achieve more revenues. As a result, it can be interpreted that the government's fleet expansion strategy has been more effective than expected, but it is too early to conclude if the market structure of the Korean ocean-going shipping companies has been strengthened.
Mulching film was produced by LDPE and LLDPE adding biomass byproducts and MA(maleic anhydride), talc/clay/CaO/CaCO3. And also surveyed to tensile strength, elongation, TGA and DSC according to the UV irradiation time. The tensile strength and elongation showed 20 N/cm2 and 5% after UV irradiation 100 hours, and those was nearly 0 N/cm2 and 0% after 200 hours, respectively. TGA of film was showed to peak of polymer itself, and DSC was slightly higher than that of initial value. At the pilot scale test, we were able to see the differentiate of degradation between control and developed film after 12 weeks, and also torn off at several part of mulching film. The degradation of mulching film after growing corn showed similar to a pilot scale test. Above the results, the developed mulching film adding biomass will be to used for agricultural farming.

Blockchain, which is the basis of virtual assets such as cryptocurrency, is receiving great attention as one of the cornerstone technologies of the 4th industrial revolution. Blockchain is a technology that can fundamentally change our lives not only in finance, but also in politics, logistics, and culture. However, it shows lower-than-expected usability because it is complicated to learn and is continuously being developed. In this study, we tried to investigate whether the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) of virtual assets can be changed through education on the underlying technology, blockchain. A video-based online experiment was conducted with a total of 103 participants and examined how the type of training(positive, negative) and measurement timing(before, after) affect perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, acceptance, which are TAM variables, and trust and security, which are related to blockchain characteristics. As a result of the experiment, interactions were found in all dependent variables according to the type of education and measurement timing. Specifically, groups that received negative education had no difference in all variables before and after, but it was found that groups that received positive education showed an increase afterwards. Through this, it can be seen that the effect of education based on the anchoring effect is also shown in the intention to use virtual assets using block chain technology, suggesting that the intention to use blockchain related technology can be increased through positive education.
This study is for analyzing the relation between Korean Water transport and the other main countries Water transport. In the Free trade system, Maritime transport has a high impact on the global economy as well as the each countries. The division of labor through the global value chain(GVCs) has became the ordinary activity in business, and in Maritime shipping,, there are the International trade among countries. Therefore, This study analyze relation of Korean water transport and other 13 regions using World Input-Output Table(WIOT) by Asia Development Bank(ADB). The result of analysis, the proportion of intermediate goods in the input structure of Korean water transport is about 70%, and the ratio of using domestic products is higher than the major European countries. However, since 2000, intermediate inputs from foreign countries have steadily increased, and added value has decreased. Countries with a high relation with Korean Water transport industry are United States(USA) on the input structure, Singapore(SIN) and Japan(JPN) on the distribution structure. Analyzing the relation through the production inducement coefficient, Singapore(SIN) has the high relationship with Korean Water transport industry.
The ship management industry in South Korea has been growing steadily, leading the government to implement policies to support its development in response to changing environmental conditions. These policies aim to improve the competitiveness of South Korea's ship management industry by recognizing the importance of skilled professionals in determining its success. Plans and policies have been put in place to cultivate these professionals, but ship management companies are currently facing a serious shortage of manpower. To enhance the industry's competitiveness, it is essential to attract and retain competent ship management professionals. Therefore, this study investigates the reasons for turnover among these professionals. The research results identified four factors contributing to turnover: Work Environment, Economic Compensation and Welfare Benefits, Self-Development, and Promotion and Career Advancement. Subsequent multiple regression analysis based on these factors revealed the need to strengthen economic rewards and benefits in order to reduce turnover rates among ship management professionals. This study provides foundational data for the development of stable human resource management policies for the future of the ship management industry.
Recently, with the increasing international interest on environmental issues, efforts have been made to reduce greenhouse gas emissions due to ship fuel, however, the dependence on fossil fuel is expected to continue for a while. Since fuel costs account for a high portion of the total operating cost of a ship, it is necessary to analyze the influence of oil prices on the shipping markets. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between the international oil prices and the four major shipping markets for bulk carriers. This study employed WTI as the oil price variable while monthly data from 2017 to 2020 from the four major shipping markets by classifying freight rates, charter rates, newbuilding prices, and secondhand prices were also considered in multiple ship sizes of capesize, panamax, supramax, and handysize. Firstly, the results of the correlation analysis using the VAR model indicate that changes in international oil prices have a statistically positive (+) significant effect on BCIS only in the second time lag, on BSIS at all lags, and on BHIS only in the first staggered period. Secondly, as a result of correlation analysis using the VECM model, in the case of BPIC, BHIC, BCIN, and BHIR, the cointegration coefficient value has a negative (-) significant effect at the 5% significance level in the cointegration relationship with international oil prices. Further, in the case of the dynamic correlation, the increase in oil price in the first period of the lag leads to a decrease in the BCIN newbuilding prices while the increase in the oil price in the first and second period in the lag leads to a decrease in the BHIR used ship prices.

This study has been performed to examine the influence of the size of particles on the stabilization in the aerobic stabilization equipment connected with MBT system. The biodegradable waste inside the reactor (60% of food waste, 25% of paper waste, 2% of wood waste and 5% of compost) has been charged in same composition. The degree of stabilization was compared and analyzed after charging with adjustment of particle size in 5 mm, 10 mm, 20 mm, 50 mm, 100 mm and state of no separation. The experiment revealed that highest temperature beyond $65^{\circ}C$ was shown in the particle size of less than 50 mm in change of temperature and the highest temperature was about $50^{\circ}C$ in reactor of 100 mm and no separation. The proportionality between generated quantity of $CO_2$ and particle size was not observed, even the highest in generated quantity was shown in over 100 mm. The weight changes based on wet and dry conditions in the reaction process showed the 30% and 46% of reduction in the smallest particle size of 5 mm and it showed the trend of the lower reduction rate at the bigger particle size. The water soluble $COD_{Cr}$ and TOC showed the reduction rate of 60% in reactor of particle size in 100 mm and no separation while the reduction rate comparing to the initial stage of reaction in the reactor of less than 50 mm was 80%. Such result derived the conclusion of acceleration in the decomposing stabilization of biodegradable material due to the decomposing rate of organic substance as the particle size of biodegradable waste gets smaller. It is concluded as necessary to react in adjustment under 50 mm of particle size as much as possible.
The demand for an environment-friendly transportation system, equipped with low energy consumption, and low-or zero-pollution has been on the increase since the beginning of the World Trade Organization era. Simultaneously, the consistent growth of high-speed tram technology, combined with market share, has sparked a fierce competition among technologically-advanced countries like France, Germany, and Japan in an effort to keep the lead in high-speed train technology via extensive Research and development(R&D) expenses. These countries are leaders in the race to implement the next-generation transportation system, build intercontinental rail way networks and export the high-speed train as a major industry commodity. The need to develop our own(Korean) 'high-speed train' technology and its core system technology layouts including original technology serves a few objectives: They boost the national competitive edge; they develop an environmental friendly rail road system that can cope with globalization and minimize the social and economic losses created by the growing traffic-congested delivery costs, environment pollution, and public discomforts. In turn, the 'G7 Project-Development of High Speed Railway Technology' held between 1996 and 2002 for a six-year period was focused on designing a domestic train capable of traveling at a speed of 350km/h combined and led to the actual implementation of engineering and producing the '2000 high-speed train:' This paper summarizes and introduces one of the G7 Projects-specifically, the design segment achievement within the development of train system engineering technology. It is true that the design aspect of the Korean domestic railway system program as a whole was lacking when compared with the advanced railroad countries whose early phase of train design emphasized the design aspect. However, having allowed the active participation of expert designers in the early phase of train design in the current project has led to a new era of domestic train development and the implementation of a way to meet demand flexibly with newly designed trains. The idea of a high-speed train in Korea and its design concept is well-conceived: a faster, more pleasant, and silent based Korean high-speed train that facilitates a new travel culture. A Korean-type of high-speed train is acknowledged by passengers who travel in such trains. The Korean high-speed prototype train has been born, combining aerodynamic air-cushioned design, which is the embodiment of Korean original design of forehead of power car minimized aerodynamic resistance using a curved car body profile, and the improvement of the interior design with ergonomics and the accommodation of the vestibule area through the study of passenger behavior and social culture that is based on the general passenger car.
This paper investigated the perceived criticalities and patterns of Korean Professional Engineer's competency regarding the working activities of automative product development, manufacturing, etc by using questionnaires responded to the survey which were applied to the automotive professors, experts and professional engineers (vocational parties) by e/mail, etc. This research investigated the following questions: First, what are the characteristic patterns, relevancy and perceived criticalities of Korean Professional Engineer's competencies? Second, What are the ranked priority of the Korean Professional Engineers' competencies? Are there any differency for each item, sub group of job, intelectual criterior of the competencies between relevancy and perceived criticalities according to the types of vocational parties, etc.? Accoring to the results; first, Professor group showed highest points among 3 groups per each item of the competencies by vocational parties Second, Chassis design group ranked top position among the 8 sub groups by vocational parties and, third, Problem Solving Knowledge ranked highest points than any others. Korean Professional Engineers are found to be positioned as key members, leaders and managers on surveying market, product planning, designing product & components, developing component parts, establishing shop with production equipment, managing quality control & material handling, organizing relevant meetings, developing human resources by training and learning, to back up finance with law matters, cooperating with concerned parties to achieve organizational goals, and to coordinate projects. etc, identifying ethical issues and business skills in order to survive and win to be competitive in various kinds of the automotive industry battle fields.
