This work is for redefining of cultural diversity and suggesting measurement frame by casting light on changing cultural environment according to evolution of digital convergence media. So far, most of studies tend to confuse at using media diversity and cultural diversity and resultingly the concept of cultural diversity is not founded right yet. In communications field, there is a limit to measure cultural diversity which is substantive content because analysis of media diversity is mainly focused on financial measuring and quantitation. Therefore we define digital convergence media culture as metaculture here for analysis of cultural diversity. Additionally, we catagorize and analysis cultural diversity based on this metaculture into pluralism of media activity, diversity of cultural expression, diversity of cultural diffusion and diversity of cultural cognition. These measuration variables of the four categories are factors which can lighten aspects of cultural diversity in digital convergence media environment. Analysis of these factors of the four catagories will suggest a criterion to establish policies to protect cultural diversity. The policy of cultural diversity is to construct a cultural commune in envirnment of meta culture.

본 연구의 목적은 현대 빅데이터 시대에서 급격히 발전하고 있는 사회적 배경아래, 현대 디자인 문화가 내포된 건축사상을 바탕으로, 중국의 4개 현대 상업건축 사례에 대한 디자인 문화 표현 특징에 대해 분석을 진행하였다. 현대 상업건축 실내 공간의 문화성은 주로 다섯 가지 측면에서 나타난다. 전통, 지역, 대중, 기술, 생태, 이것을 복합적으로 통합하여, 상업건축의 지속가능성과 다양성을 촉진한다.

This study is to explore the characteristics of contemporary Chinese architecture from the aspects of the regionalism of environment, culture and technology. Six cases of contemporary Chinese architecture which won the world-wide famous were selected and analyzed. The results are the followings; First, the regionalism of environment emphasizes the building's response to the regional environment (topography, climate and regional landscape). Second, the regionalism of culture reflects as the relevance between architecture and community structure, economic patterns, folk customs and other social factors of the region. Third, the regionalism of technology requires the coordination of construction process, structure form, materials and other contents of architecture with the regional environment and culture, and emphasizes the suitability of technology. Environment, culture and technology determine that the regionalism of contemporary Chinese architecture is not purely the meaning at the formal level, but explores the underlying causes.

문화지도는 문화와 관련된 다양한 양상들을 점, 선, 기호 등으로 표현하여 지도에 나타낸 것이며, 전자문화지도는 이 지도를 효율성과 편리성을 위하여 컴퓨터를 이용하여 디지털 파일이나 데이터베이스화 시킨 것이다. 이러한 문화지도를 활용하면 해외지역 연구 결과를 시각적으로 표현할 수 있어서, 연구 결과를 보다 이해하기 쉽게 되고 새로운 연구에 대한 기초 자료로 활용이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 해외지역 문화, 특히 지중해지역을 위한 전자문화 지도의 접목에 대하여 연구한다. 세부적으로 문화양식, 문화유산, 문화생활과 같은 다양한 문화 양상을 식별하기 위한 문화 분류, 문화지도 구성을 제시한다.

The Charm is composed of various kind of ancient signs, letters and systematic characters so that they delivers messages with many expressions. They, compared with the experimental typography, are more logical and experimental than we generally think. Also, they have meanings and attributes as characters do, in which there are symbols, hieroglyphs, pictures and other similar words. Each attribute diverse from symbolic meaning, associates to deconstruction of letters. It is needed to review the experimental attributes of charms with the view of structural typography for potentialities of expression. The purpose of the study is to analyze and classify the morphologic construction of charms so that we can find the possibilities of applying the attributes to visual languages and typography. The study notices the value of the expressions material and method in design education as the subject of for appreciation study. 본 논문에서는 유아를 위한 가정연계 다문화 교육활동을 계획하고 적용함으로써 유아와 어머니의 다문화 인식에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 분석 결과 첫째, 가정연계 다문화 교육활동이 유아의 다문화 인식 전체와 하위 요인인 문화 개방성, 문화 수용성, 문화 존중성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 가정연계 다문화 교육활동은 어머니의 다문화 인식 전체와 하위 요소인 문화 수용성, 문화 존중성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 문화 개방성에는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 셋째, 가정연계 다문화 교육활동에 참여한 유아들의 다양한 표현 결과물과 교사 관찰일지, 교사저널 등을 분석한 결과 유아들의 다문화 관련 인식에 긍정적인 변화가 있었으며, 문화 개방성, 문화수용성, 문화 존중성에도 효과가 있었다. 즉, 가정과 연계한 다문화 교육활동은 유아의 다문화 인식과 어머니의 다문화 인식 중 문화 수용성과 문화 존중성에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다.

This study explores the characteristics and roles of non-textual elements in secondary mathematics textbooks in the United States and South Korea, using a conceptual framework that I have developed: variety, contextuality, and connectivity. Analyzing five U.S. standards-based textbooks and 13 Korean textbooks, this study shows that although non-textual elements in mathematics textbooks are free of literal language, they exhibit different emphases and reflect assumptions about what is important in learning mathematics and how it can be taught and learned in a particular societal context (Mishra, 1999; Zazkis & Gadowsky, 2001). While there are similar patterns in the use of different types of non-textual elements in textbooks from both countries, different opportunities are provided for students to learn mathematics between the two countries.
