We are accustomed to using the word 'beautiful' when we see something, but we don't use the word 'sublime' very often. In fact, these two words have totally different meanings and we can say 'sublime' only for special objects. The notions and objects of sublime have been studied by numerous philosophers ranging from Longinus to Burke and Kant. According to their studies, we can feel sublimity from objects which give us fear, because the sublime is inherent in fear. Therefore, in this study, we considered the sublime in the gothic novel, A Rose for Emily, in which we can find solemn sublimity in Emily's iron gray hair, her black suit, and a red rose which stands for blood. In addition, we can feel sublimity in the image of Emily who is waiting for Homer and the image of Homer's dead body. These kinds of images instill us with fear, but also show us tragic sublimity. The sublime exists in all kinds of literature and, therefore, more studies and analyses of the sublime in literature will likely be conducted.

A bibliographical analysis on folktale studies in Korea by Soyoung Yoo This study is aimed primarily at taking a view of the scope and depth of folktale studies in Korea and analysing their subjects study and directions. By doing so, the researcher hopes that this can be of help to users of those studies. The researcher collected all the studies in this field since 1945 and analysed them through SAS program. Thus, the researcher found the studies on Korean folktales started in late 1960's and flourished and diversified in the middle of the 1990s. The researcher divided the collected materials into two categories, i.e., the study materials which focused on folktales themselves and studies for the exploration of applications of folktales for other purposes. Former analytical study on folktales study themselves is shown to be composed of events, characters, themes and psychological as well as value analysis. there are some comparative studies with folktales of other countries. Latter studies show that the studies are mostly for language educational purpose. Furthermore, they are for illustration, animation, traditional design, costumes studies and theme parks. There are some other studies.
Andrei Amalrik's plays are a unique phenomenon in the 70 years' history of Soviet drama. Half a century after the Soviet theater had intentionally forgotten its own achievements of avant-garde dramaturgy in the early 20th century, his bizarre plays suddenly emerged in the Soviet theater environment, completely separated from contemporary Western practices of the experimental theater. Surprisingly even now, Amalrik's plays have almost been forgotten not only in Russia but also by foreign Russian literary scholars. Amalrik's autobiographical essay is his only book published in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet regime. There is no collection of his works, and reevaluation of his work is not found even in Russia. However, Amalrik is a writer who should get a proper evaluation. The purpose behind studying his plays is to restore the tradition of Russian grotesque-absurd dramaturgy, which has been inherited from Gogol, Khlevnikov, Mayakovsky, and Oberiu. In this paper, we will analyze the mechanism of composition in Amalrik's plays.
This paper criticized that online classes during the Covid-19 period were centered on knowledge and information education, and sought ways to improve empathy as a way to improve students' sociality. The teaching-learning process was designed around the movie <(500) Days of Summer> which has the theme and story of parting and growth. On this paper the stage of empathy was divided into three stages, recognize-into, feeling-into, emotional-transaction stage. In particular, considering the process of transitioning from emotional empathy to behavioral empathy as the key to communication education, the class was designed in five stages, with an expression stage between the feeling-into stage and the emotional-transaction stage. This course is possible when learners sympathize with the work itself and reflect on their own narrative, so literary therapeutic was used, and students's response statements were collected to prove that this process is meaningful for improving empathy. In this article, the class was designed for the movie <(500) Days of Summer>, but this teaching-learning model can be applied to other contemporary film texts.

If a drama play is interested in recreating the play text on stage, the post-drama play aims at a drama that has been liberated from the play text. In this process, the boundaries created by drama theater are dismantled. Actors and audiences, fiction and reality, theater and non-theater, works and events, language and non-language are the names of typical boundaries. The demolition of these boundaries is an opportunity to restore the festival character of ancient Greek theater, which was forgotten by drama theater. This has led to the dismantling of language-centric and play-centricism, which has dominated the play since Aristotle, and has led to a new play. If language-centered, play-centricism has brought about the crisis of drama, the post-dramatic play dismisses them and finds ways to communicate with the audience as new cultural content. The method is found above all in the restoration of dramaturgy. This is because the post-drama plays are more dependent on theatricality than literature. The demilitarized nature of post-dramatic play with enhanced theatricality will be a stepping stone to popularization, and this shows the possibility of post-dramatic play as cultural contents.

In the study of Guunmong, which is one of the representative classical $17^{th}$ century novels of the Joseon Dynasty, interpretations through The Book of Change(Juyeok) have recently emerged. It is necessary to more concretely investigate the themes of the research. The writer Kim man-jung wrote the work in an exile situation. In that time he composed a poem using Chinese letters with meaning connected to The book of Change. In particular, the discourse of Bok-gwae(復卦, ䷗) concentrating on the meaning of recovery might be a basis to construct the inner world of the work. The sentence of 'Bok goes well' in The Book of Change suitably match up with the hero's life in Guunmong. In addition the sentences of 'There is no illness in going and coming. So it will be no faults if friends arriver' can be applied to the meeting between the hero and heroines of Guunmong. The general declarations of The Book of Change are appropriate for explaining the contents of Guunmong. There are six Hyos that make up Gwae. The Hyos, from the first one at the bottom to the fifth one up above, connect to the characters of Guunmong. The phrase of 'Not going far away' regarding to the first Yang Hyo can be connected to Yang So-yu, hero of Guunmong. The phrase of 'Recovering beautifully' with regard to the second Eum Hyo can also be realized in the life of Jeong Gyeong-pae and Ga Chunun, two heroines of the work. The phrase of 'Danger owing to frequently recovering' regarding the third Eum Hyo can be applied to the position of Gye Seom-weol and Jeok Gyeong-hong. The phrase of 'Going middle with recovering alone' regarding the forth Eum Hyo can be matched with Sim Yo-yeon and Baek Reung-pa. The phrase of 'No regrets during an intense recovery' with regard to the fifth Eum Hyo is applicable to Yi So-hwa and Jin Chae-bong. The phrase of 'Boding of a confused recovering' regarding the sixth Eum Hyo is related to the writer's situation. The boding of confused recovering is owing to anti-royal road. The contrast between the royal road and the anti-royal road reflects Confucianism and Buddhism, dream and reality, and Yang So-yu in a dream and Seong Jin, who is same hero, in reality. Moreover, the structure of Guunmong which is organized in the form of reality-dream-reality, has a basis in this contrast. Considering these relationships, we can say the classical novel Guunmong is a fable of Bok-gwae. The work is a hopeful narration of an effective recovery that the writer anticipated in exile.

In this study, I want to find the meaning of art by revealing the common points of art in two books: Heidegger's The origin of the work of art and Heejae You's An outline of art. This is maybe not only two men's view but also the very basic concept of general art. This study is divided by three main parts. First, "How are language and thought connected?" and "How could the meaning of art be considered through this concept." Heidegger insists that language is the important medium that determines thought of 'being itself', not just a way of conversation. In An outline of art, Heejae You presents similar concepts. Second is the connection between Heidegger's "Art is basically a dichtung" and An outline of art's view. Dichtung is not simply reading the meaning of text or image, but also incorporates speculation about the part without being thought. Third, Heejae You's corresponding point about Heidegger's 'das besinnliche Wissen'. The main study finding is the commonness between Eastern and Western art by comparing Heidegger's art view and Heejae You's art view, who studied the ancient China's overall literature.

This story is written by Shin Kwang-han who is a famous scholar and writer in Josun Dynasty. The most notable feature of this story is the love between a man and a dead woman. The protagonist has failed the test to be a national official for several years, because of the corruption and unfairness of the leaders of his society. He is very upset, but then changes his mind in order to become an officer. One day he meets a dead woman. He saves her life from death, and falls in love with her. Finally he marries her and attains a high position. Till now, all the aspects of this story have been extensively researched from a number of different perspectives. However the narrative structure of this story has not been discussed much. This story belongs to Jungi-novel, a kind of old story style which includes fantasy. The studies on this story have mostly been carried out to find the different features in comparison with other works of the same style. Further, we could not understand its own specific meaning structure. This study aims to find the narrative structure of this story. It was recognized by researchers that Shin's stories talk about his life and his perspective of the world. Further, I will try to show how he expresses his thoughts, emotion and life through this story. First, to obtain a satisfactory result through this study, I will find a way to resolve several problems that have become the center of the controversy. Afterward, the conflict and resolution the hero's relation to the world will be identified in every paragraph. Through these efforts, we will have a new point of the view about the narrative structure of this story and the intent expressed by the writer through its structure.
This study found that La hija del mar (1859) by Rosalía de Castro describes, as the background to the work, the lives of Galicians, along with the movement of the sea, scenes of the coast, storms, and lively plants in Muxía, a small city of Galicia and Cabo de Finisterre. It was shown that the nature of Galicia, as described in the work, is a beautiful site where fishermen and farmers live among the full aroma of plants and flowers, as well as being a subject of fear to the people there. Furthermore, it was also shown through the funeral process, along with a depiction of the natural environment, the unique place of Galicia is part of the traditional heritage that the Galician people have preserved, in which Roman Catholic rituals are mixed with superstitious rites. Moreover, the author shows through a description of the excessive drinking culture of Dionysian rites or Libation rites that Galicia is a land with longstanding and profound folk customs, as well as a special culture. It was proved that the work is a specific representation of the author's perspective. Thus, Rosalía depicts the lives of people and the natural environment, which have not been examined profoundly, although they always existed in Galicia. This provides space where the external reality of Galicia and part of the identity of Galicia can be elucidated.
