A Study on the Publication of Open Access Articles (오픈액세스 논문 출판에 대한 동향연구)

  • It has become the heavy burden for many domestic colleges to renew the e-journal paywall licenses because major publishers keep raising license fees to access the new articles in Korea. In order to overcome these costly expenditure, the universities in US and the several governments in EU attempted the new models of open access option in the form of pilot contract with major publishers. Unlikely, there is no active discussion regarding open access options among domestic scientists, which may limit the generation of creative models in Korea. In this paper, the cases of US and EU negotiations with the Elsevier publisher were introduced and also evaluated in a qualitative manner whether any combined models could be applicable to future consideration.

Characteristics on Elementary Students' Argumentation in Science Problem Solving Process (과학 문제 해결 과정에서 나타나는 초등학생의 논증 특징)

  • This purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of elementary students' argumentation in science problem solving process. For this study, the two argumentation topics were developed on the basis of Williams and Colomb's argumentation model. The topics of argumentation were the weight of the air and the change of volume according to state of water. The participants of this study were 6th grade students (n=51). Data were analyzed by Williams and Colomb's argumentation model and Kienpointner's argumentation style. The results of this study were as follows: In the argumentation model, most of students had the factors of claim, reason, evidence/data in their statements. But low-achievement students had difficulty in warrant and acknowledge & response. In argumentation style, the frequency of the cause-effect and explanation of example style were higher than other argumentation styles. Some implications were suggested, such as understanding the characteristics of elementary students' argumentation activities and need of educational programs including scientific argumentation.

The Effect of Using Digital Science Textbook on the Scientific Problem Solving of Elementary School Students (초등과학 디지털 교과서 활용이 학생들의 과학적 문제 해결력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of using digital science textbook on the scientific problem solving of elementary school students. For this research, an instrument to measure student's problem-solving skills was developed. The pretest and posttest scores of one hundred and six 5th grade students' problem-solving skills were analyzed and also the responses of three students who were selected by their levels in the problem-solving science digital textbook class were qualitatively analyzed. The results of this study were as follows; the scores of problem solving skills of science digital textbook groups were higher than that of traditional paper textbook group(p<.05). In the qualitative analysis of the students' reponses in a digital textbook class according to their achievement level, low-achievers' problem-solving skills were much more improved than high- and mid-achievers' skills. In conclusion, science digital textbook has a potential to improve students' scientific problem solving skills, and this possibility will be much higher when science digital textbook is used with teachers' intended instructional goals and strategies like problem-solving lessons.

System Development of Precision Vision Measurement Compensated for the Ambient Temperature (주위온도를 보상한 정밀 영상 자동 측정 시스템 개발)

  • 정밀을 요하는 자동차 부품의 측정 시스템은 온도에 따라 보상이 필수적이다. 부품의 측정값의 신뢰도를 유지하기 위해서 단순히 제품의 합격 영역을 상온에서 51.786~51.819mm로 했을 때, 온도가 상온에서 따러져 있는 경우 그 부품의 측정영역을 신뢰하기가 어려워진다. 본 논문에서는 이 문제를 해결하기 위해서 2개의 카메라를 사용하여 한쪽은 표준 제품을 두고, 다른 쪽은 실제 제품을 둠으로서 온도에 따라 달라지는 표준 제품의 측정값의 Offset를 실제 제품에 반영함으로써 측정값을 보상하려고 하였다. 자동차의 부품은 여러 가지가 있으나, 이 중에서 현재 공장에서 측정에 어려움을 겪고 있는 에어콘 스윗치인 마그네트 코일 하우징을 대상으로 하였다. 특히 측정 대상이 크고, 카메라의 화소수가 40만 이하일 경우, 측정의 중요한 포인트는 화소수와 배경과 대상의 구별이다. 이를 정확히 알아내는데, FCM (Fuzzy C-means) 알고리듬이 좋은 결과를 주지만 속성 공간에서 유사성만을 고려하고, 공간영역에서 유사성은 고려되지 않기 때문에 FCM은 \"equal evidence\"와 \"ignorance\"를 구분하지 못한다. 이를 개선하기 위해서 FCM를 수정하여 먼저 FCM로 처리하고 이를 바탕으로 PCM (Possibilistic C-means)를 사용하였다. 결과를 모니터에 보여주고, RSC-232 포트를 통하여 신호를 마이크로 프로세서에 전달하여 제품의 양호(good), 불량(bad)을 판별하는 신호를 발생하게 하였다.을 판별하는 신호를 발생하게 하였다.

  • Ant Colony System(ACS) is a meta heuristic approach based on biology in order to solve combinatorial optimization problem. It is based on the tracing action of real ants which accumulate pheromone on the passed path and uses as communication medium. In order to search the optimal path, ACS requires to explore various edges. In existing ACS, the local updating rule assigns the same pheromone to visited edge. In this paper, our local updating rule gives the pheromone according to the number of visiting times and the distance between visited cities. Our approach can have less local optima than existing ACS and find better solution by taking advantage of more informations during searching.

  • Recently, remodeling construction project has been prevalently conducted in major city areas in Korea. However, remodeling construction project has a difficulty in conducting a construction because of non-existing drawing or lack of drawing information. To solve these problems, modeling techniques by using reverse engineering have been widely studied in other industries such as aerospace and automobile industry. But reverse engineering techniques have not been used in remodeling construction projects because those technology haven't supplied less accuracy during required time for surveying. So, this study suggests optimal method of acquiring accurate 3D laser scanner information for reverse engineering at interior remodeling project.

According to inventory management of site is necessary systematic and efficient.   • Currently, the complication and large scale of the construction project have caused a lot of problems of cooperation and information sharing. Therefore, for solving this problems, the research based on techniques of the virtual construction system are actively advanced all over the world. This paper is one of the researches about the virtual construction system and infrastructure of the simulation system that is one of the virtual construction system. This paper should analyze the needs about the simulation system through analysing proceeding researches and a lot of solutions, such as AutoCAD and ArchiCAD. Also this paper should drive functions of simulation system, and suggest the concept of this system

  • In this paper, a new clock and data recovery circuit is proposed for the application of data communication systems requiring ㎓-range clock signals. The circuit is suitable for recovering NRZ data which is widely used for high speed data transmission in ㎓ ranges. The high frequency jitter is one of major performance-limiting factors in PLL, particularly when NRZ data patterns are used. A novel phase detector is able to suppress this noise, and stable clock generation is achieved. Futhermore, the phase detector has an adaptive delay cell removing the dead zone problem and has the optimal characteristics for fast locking. The proposed circuit has a convenience structure that can be easily extended to multi-channels. The circuit is designed based on CMOS 0.25㎛ fabrication process and verified by measurement result.
