Paper Based Point-of-Care Diagnosis for Appropriate Technology (적정기술을 위한 종이기반 현장 진단 기술)

  • It should be supported by the ease and economic production in terms of appropriate technology to be widely used in the real applying fields. In particular, the diagnosis of diseases is one of the most difficult areas to apply to the developing countries compared to other fields because of the high costs of professional manpower, equipment, and medial reagents. In recent years, paper, which is one of the most common materials around, has been used to fabricate the disease diagnostic chips, particularly without any special facilities or the equipment. These new technologies lead the possibility of using point-of-care testing devices that can be manufactured quickly in the field by lowering the production cost. These paperbased technologies will contribute to solve many of the deadliest medical problems in developing countries and ultimately improve the quality of human life.

Role of Self-efficiency in the Career Activities of Marriage Immigrant Women (결혼이주여성의 진로활동에서 자기효능감의 역할)

  • This study explores role of self-efficiency in the career activities of marriage immigrant women. It is expected that self-efficiency would contribute to marriage immigrant women helping them to overcome the difficulties of their lives spontaneously and keep on their careers. For this, it was conducted that in-depth interview with seven marriage immigrant women. Conclusion was classified into two parts as following. The conclusion is from whether marriage immigrant woman has self-efficiency in her career purpose and career barrier. First, in the conclusion of career purpose, higher self-efficiency leads to constant career fulfillment and positive self image and lower self efficiency gives rise to absence of neighboring subgoal and discontinuity or lagging of personal career. Second, in the conclusion of career barrier, higher self-efficiency person would consider career barrier as an object to get over. On the contrary, lower self-efficiency person could not find the proper strategies to deal with career barrier and conform to the barrier and give up the career.

Efficient Access Management Scheme for Machine Type Communications in LTE-A Networks (LTE-A 네트워크 환경에서 MTC를 위한 효율적인 접근관리 기법)

  • Recently, MTC (Machine Type Communication) is known as an important part to support IoT (Internet of Things) applications. MTC provides network connectivities between MTC devices without human intervention. In MTC, a large number of devices try to access over communication resource with a short period of time. Due to the limited communication resource, resource contention becomes severe and it brings about access failures of devices. To solve the problem, it needs to regulate device accesses. In this paper, we present an efficient access management scheme. We measure the number of devices which try to access in a certain time period and predict the change of the number of devices in the next time period. Using the predicted change, we control the number of devices which try to access. To verify our scheme, we conduct experiments in terms of success probability, failure probability, collision probability and access delay.

  • The purpose of this paper is to propose office healthcare UX scenarios using gamification techniques. Today, there is increased recognition of office workers' health, and gamification can be a great method to enhance their health. To design effective healthcare service for office workers, first, two levels of gamification design were identified―interface design level and gameplay experience design level. Second, office workers' health problems resulting from office work were collected from their blogs and 13 insights were derived by analyzing the collected data. Finally, 2 UX scenario implementing gamification in the workplace was proposed to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors for office workers.

  • Current word sense disambiguation techniques employ various machine learning-based methods. Various approaches have been proposed to address this problem, including the knowledge base approach. This approach defines the sense of an ambiguous word in accordance with knowledge base information with no training corpus. In unsupervised learning techniques that use a knowledge base approach, graph-based and similarity-based methods have been the main research areas. The graph-based method has the advantage of constructing a semantic graph that delineates all paths between different senses that an ambiguous word may have. However, unnecessary semantic paths may be introduced, thereby increasing the risk of errors. To solve this problem and construct a fine-grained graph, in this paper, we propose a model that iteratively constructs the graph while eliminating unnecessary nodes and edges, i.e., senses and semantic paths. The hybrid similarity estimation model was applied to estimate a more accurate sense in the constructed semantic graph. Because the proposed model uses BabelNet, a multilingual lexical knowledge base, the model is not limited to a specific language.

  • Each country has its preferred image and how to convey it effectively. The study aims to find traditional Korean makeup methods and ways to effectively convey a preferred image. Among the ancient manuscripts of Joseon Dynasty, the book " Galgap Collection " has ten ancestors who express their favorite eyebrows in the form of a grandfather. In this study, we applied tens of thousands of words to the actual model to solve the problem and make up the methods of literature, the Internet, and example. The model stimuli were measured by conducting a street experiment of 10 makeup experts and 70 men and women's blinds. The result was that the " Gaewon- .aemi " type seemed to be the best, attractive and most consistent with the shape of the thinking eyebrows and the current fashion of eyebrows. In a variety of nonverbal ways expressed in the classics, the study looked at ways to use visual poetry to communicate effectively. This research will help transform design ideas and help understand cultural trends of different times.

  • Unlike other lawsuits, patent infringement litigation is a very difficult case to grasp without expert knowledge of the patented technology. The Patent Agent Act seems to recognize the legal representation of patent agent in Article 8, but the Constitutional Court and the Court have refused to recognize patent agent's legal representation right in the patent infringement suit. In this regard, constant controversy is taking place among patent agents and lawyers. This study examines the measures to enhance the effectiveness and professionalism of patent litigation in patent infringement litigation. This study analyzes the role of patent attorneys in patent infringement lawsuits in major countries and derive rational alternatives. As a result, it is inappropriate to restrict the attorneys' automatic acquisition of patent attorneys' qualifications or revise the patent attorneys' law in relation to the patent attorney's right of proxy. In the case of litigation parties, it is a desirable alternative to introduce a revised patent attorney system for the fundamental problem solving and to allow the litigants to reasonably choose the litigation agent.

  • 최근 태풍, 지진, 산불, 산사태, 전쟁 등 다양한 재난 상황으로 인한 인명피해와 자금 손실이 꾸준히 발생하고 있고 현재 이를 예방하고 복구하기 위해 많은 인력과 자금이 소요되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 여러 재난 상황을 미리 감시하고 재난 발생의 빠른 인지 및 대처를 위해 본 논문에서는 인공지능 기반의 재난 드론 시스템을 설계 및 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 사람이 감시하기 힘든 지역에 여러 대의 재난 드론을 이용하며 딥러닝 기반의 최단 경로 알고리즘을 적용해 각각의 드론이 최적의 경로로 효율적 탐색을 실시한다. 또한 드론의 근본적 문제인 배터리 용량 부족에 대한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) 기술을 이용하여 각 드론의 최적 경로를 결정하게 된다. 제안한 시스템 구현을 위해 여러 재난 상황 중 산불 상황에 적용하였으며 전송된 데이터를 기반으로 산불지도를 만들고, 빔프로젝터를 탑재한 드론이 출동한 소방관에게 산불지도를 시각적으로 보여주었다. 제안한 시스템에서는 여러 대의 드론이 최적 경로 탐색 및 객체인식을 동시에 수행함으로써 빠른 시간 내에 재난 상황을 인지할 수 있다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 재난 드론 인프라를 구축하고 조난자 탐색(바다, 산, 밀림), 드론을 이용한 자체적인 화재진압, 방범 드론 등에 활용할 수 있다.

ABS Ratio Estimation Considering the Number of UEs in CRE Regions for LTE-A Heterogeneous Networks (LTE-A 기반 이종 네트워크에서 CRE 영역내 단말들의 수를 고려한 ABS 비율 산출 방법)

  • The CRE (Cell Range Expansion) that selects the small cell with more efficient uplink resources has been developed by 3GPP to relieve the problem of the traffic imbalance due to the power differences between macro and small cells in HetNet. In addition, ABS (Almost Blank Subframes) has been proposed to resolve the signal interference problem due to the operation CREs. This paper proposes an effective method to calculate the ABS ratio by considering the proportion of the number of UEs in CRE and macro cell ranges, as well as the number of small cells in a macro cell. The proposed method has been implemented on the LTESim simulator, and compared with previously proposed methods. The experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the throughput and packet loss ratio performances. In particular, it is also shown that CRE bias values affect those performances, and there exist effective CRE bias values to derive the best performances.

A Study on the Effectiveness of Media Based Cultural Studies - Center of creativity education of university students (미디어 기반 교양교과 효과 검증 연구 - 대학생의 창의성 교육 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of creativity education on creativity of college students through educational medium such as film, animation, documentary, cartoon, advertisement, etc. Therefore, D university in Busan Metropolitan City held a 15-week creativity program for team college students in the second semester of 2016 "creative convergence". In this study, the data collected by the pre - test and post - test using the creativity questionnaire were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. First, the creativity of college students showed a significant difference in problem solving ability scores in the curriculum for media literacy. Second, the creativity of university students showed a significant difference in creative tendency score in media literacy curriculum. The fact that various media such as movies, animations, documentaries, cartoons, advertisements, etc. are educational media that can be easily accessed in everyday life, suggests that the improvement of creativity suggests educational effects to college students and future students.
