지금까지의 연구에서 Japanese Puzzle을 이용한 인쇄체 영문자 인식을 구현하여 좋은 결과를 얻었고, 본 논문 에서는 인쇄체 영문자(바탕, 돋움) 인식을 확장시켜 영문장을 인식하기 위해 키보드에서 입력 가능한 숫자 및 기호를 포함하여 인식하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 이미지를 입력 받아 이진화 처리, 히스토그램 투영을 이용한 문자 분리는 영문자 인식에서와 동일한 처리를 한다. 기호 중에서 세로 길이보다 가로 길이가 긴 기호인 -,-,= 만 가로를 정규화 하였고, 나머지는 세로를 정규화 하였다. 정규화 된 문자에 Japanese Puzzle을 역으로 적용하여 구하여진 수치 정보로부터 영문자, 숫자, 기호를 분류 및 인식하여 좋은 결과를 얻었다.

한국어 텍스트 음성합성에서 문장 기호의 문자화에 나타나는 오류는 기호의 중의성에 기인한다. 선행연구에서 규칙에 기반하여 중의성을 해결하는 방안이 제안되었으나 여전히 기호는 다양한 문맥에서 높은 중의성을 가지고 문자화된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 신문 텍스트에 나타나는 문장 기호 중 이음표의 문자화를 이음표를 포함한 어절의 패턴, 패턴의 좌우에 위치하는 어절 정보 및 휴리스틱스 자질을 학습하여 제시된 이음표의 문자화의 중의성을 해소하는 방안을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 국내 1개 일간지 2년 치 기사에서 이음표를 포함한 어절 49,000여 개를 임의 추출하여 분석하였고, 분석된 자질을 자동추출하여 결정 트리를 구성하였다. 실험 결과, 96.2%～97.7%의 정확도를 보였다.

본 논문에서는 CCD 흑백 카메라를 이용하여 프로그래머의 알고리즘이 표현된 flowchart의 영상을 입력받아 C언어 코드로 변환하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 입력된 영상을 이진화 처리한 영상으로부터 flowchart 기호들을 인식하기 위하여 chain code 방법을 이용하였고, flowchart 기호에 기술된 영문자 및 특수문자의 인식을 위하여 가로 및 세로 히스토그램을 이용하여 한 문자색 분할한 후 각 문자들을 구성하는 흑화소 pixel의 합과 chain code 방법을 사용하였다. 가로 및 세로 투영을 이용하여 흐름선을 인식함으로써 flowchart의 논리흐름을 파악할 수 있었다. 이 시스템을 수치연산에 적용하여, 프로그래머의 알고리즘에 부합하는 프로그램이 작성되어짐을 확인할 수 있었다.

본 논문에서는 사용자가 Windows 상에서 자신의 알고리즘을 반영시킨 flowchart를 작성하면 그에 해당하는 C프로그램을 생성시켜 주는 시스템을 구현하였다. 사용자가 그린 flowchart 기호들과 흐름선 및 기호 안에 기술된 문자정보를 연결형 리스트를 사용하여 표현하였다. 기술된 문자 정보를 검색하여, 사용된 함수에 따라 해당 헤더 파일을 추가하고, 입ㆍ출력 함수에 대한 변환을 행한다. 그려진 flowchart기호에 대하여 흐름선의 개수나 연결기호를 이용한 변환 알고리즘을 적용하여 C코드로 변환하여 화면상에 출력시키고, 파일로 저장하였다. 본 시스템을 다양한 알고리즘에 적용시켜서 만족한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Variables and expressions are essential for doing mathematics. Especially abbreviations of the multiplication sign ${\times}$ and the division sign ${\div}$ are current rules that we usually follow. In this paper, we devised a Card-Game for exercising abbreviations of the multiplication sign ${\times}$ and the division sign ${\div}$ in calculating expressions, designed a teaching unit for the calculation of expressions using the Card-Game in the variables and expressions strand, and discussed the implications of using the Card-Game for motivating students, cooperative learning, diagnosis and correction of errors, and so on.

From the early stages of learning algebra, literal symbols are used to represent algebraic objects such as variables and parameters. The concept of parameters contains both indeterminacy and fixity resulting in confusion and errors in understanding. The purpose of this research is to compare the beginners of algebra and pre-service teachers who completed secondary mathematics education in terms of understanding this paradoxical nature of parameters. We recruited 35 middle school students in eight grade and 73 pre-service teachers enrolled in a undergraduate course at one university. Using them we conducted a survey on the perception of the nature of parameters asking if one considers parameters suggested in a problem as variables or constants. We analyzed the collected data using the mixed method of qualitative and quantitative approaches. From the analysis results, we identified several difficulties in understanding of parameters from both groups. Especially, our statistical analysis revealed that the proportions of subjects with limited understanding of the concept of parameters do not differ much in two groups. This suggests that learning algebra in secondary mathematics education does not improve the understanding of the nature of parameters significantly.

The Compared to general sentences, the Equation uses a complex structure and various characters and symbols, so that it is not possible to input all the character sets by simply inputting a keyboard. Therefore, the editor is implemented in a text editor such as Hangul or Word. In order to express the Equation properly, it is necessary to have the learner information which can be meaningful to interpret the syntax. Even if a character is input, it can be represented by another expression depending on the relationship between the size and the position. In other words, the form of the expression is expressed as a tree model considering the relationship between characters and symbols such as the position and size to be expressed. As a field of character recognition application, a technique of recognizing characters or symbols(code) has been widely known, but a method of inputting and interpreting a Equation requires a more complicated analysis process than a general text. In this paper, we have implemented a Equation recognizer that recognizes characters in expressions and quickly analyzes the position and size of expressions.

본 논문에서는 국제 컴퓨터 망을 통하여 한글 정보를 전송할 수 있는 한 방안을 제안하였다. 한글 문서를 서구 문자로 바꾸어 서구문만의 전송이 가능한 컴퓨터 망에서도 전송이 가능하도록 하였고 한글과 영문이 혼용된 문서를 서구 문자로 전자하는데 한/영 구분기호를 사용하였으며 전자된 한글이 포함되어 있음을 표현하는 통신문 서식을 만들어 사용하였다. 또한 한글을 서구문자로 전자하고 복원하는 소프트웨어를 작성하였다.

Algebraic signs are important on learning and problem solving of algebra. This study investigated the contents of letters and expressions in textbooks by syntactics, semantics and pragmatics, and considered the introduction and extension processes of algebraic signs didactically. We also categorized the signs, and looked into textbook problems in view of semiotic. The result is that textbook is constructed in syntactics and semantics. Finally, the assessment of 7th grade students' competence in syntactics, semantics, syntactics+- semantics, pragmatics, and problem solving shows that students' ability in syntactics and pragmatics Is a predictive variable for algebraic problem solving.

국제적 미술 양식이면서 동양적 요소를 갖추고 있는 서체 문자마술을 통하여 우리 미술문화의 현재와 새로운 가능성을 찾아보았다. 서체 문자미술을 이루고 있는 기호인 한자와 한글을 우리 조상들이 생활 속에서 계속 사용하여 왔으며 나아가 조선에 이르러서는 민화에서 문자그림을 나타내고 있다. 현대에 들어서면서 우리의 이름 있는 작가들과 후학들이 서체에서 나타나는 문자를 이용하여 작품세계를 빛내고 있다. 현대미술의 서체적인 문자그림들의 평가와 그 가능성을 밝히고 디자인마케팅에 있어서 시각적인 학습과 기억에의 서체문자 미술의 활용에 대해 고찰하며, 특히 한국미술에 있어 서체적인 문자그림의 전통성과 현대미술에서의 표현을 통하여 서체 문자그림이 동시대 한국 미술문화를 이루는데 한 축을 이루고 있음을 밝히면서, 한국 서체 문자미술이 디자인마케팅에의 시각적 표현활용에 대해 언급하고 있다.
