Human chromosome 9 is characterized by a high degree of morphologic heteromorphisms, including variation in the size of the heterochromatin. We present a case of a de novo short arm addition of chromosome 9, [46, XY, add(9)(p13)], associated with multiple anomalies, including trigonocephaly, upward slant of the palpebral fissures, patent ductus arteriosus, pulmonary hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, umbilical hernia, ambiguous genitalia, and sensorineural hearing and visual loss. This mutation affects the pericentric region of the heterochromatin. This patient exhibited a clinically important breakpoint of the heterochromatic region of chromosome 9 short arm and the associated anomalies.

This study aims to identify the sources of productivity change in export manufacturing firms. After estimating the Malmquist productivity index, a panel regression was used to calculate the source of productivity change. Upon conducting a literature review of this field, six variables were selected as explanatory variables. The results of an analysis of 355 export manufacturing firms operating from 2009 through 2015 are as follows: First, both innovation activity and total assets had a positive impact on productivity change. However, employment cost intensity, equity ratio, and current ratio had a negative impact on productivity change in export manufacturing firms. Second, innovation activity and intangible assets had a positive impact on productivity change, but employment cost intensity, selling expense intensity, and equity ratio had a negative impact on productivity change in large export manufacturing firms. Third, innovation activity had a positive impact on productivity change, but employment cost intensity and equity ratio had a negative impact on productivity change in small and medium export manufacturing firms. Fourth, intangible assets had a positive impact on productivity change, but employment cost intensity, selling expense intensity, and current ratio had a negative impact on productivity change in export manufacturing firms listed on the Korea Composite Stock Price Index. Fifth, innovation activity and total assets had a positive impact on productivity change, but employment cost intensity and equity ratio had a negative impact on productivity change in manufacturing firms listed on the Korean Securities Dealers Automated Quotations. The managerial implications of this study are also discussed.

Geyonggi-geommu have developed based on the long history of Korean sword dance. Han Sung-joon, the great master of modern music and dance of Korea during the Japanese colonial period, collected and reconstructed folk dances that had disappeared or were cut off due to the policy to obliterate Korean culture through Chosun Music Dance Research Society. Since then, it has been passed down to Kang Sun-young and Kim Geun-hee that has designated as the Intangible Cultural Property No. 53. of Geyonggi-do in 2011. This study focuses on highlighting the uniqueness of Geyonggi-geommu for proper modeling and transmission of Geyonggi-geommu with historical significance so as to understand and preserve the Intangible Cultural Heritage. This study examines the transmission system of Geyonggi-geommu, followed by Kang Sun-young and Kim Geun-hee, originated by the master Han Sung-Joon of Geyonggi-geommu. Geyonggi-geommu has its uniqueness of using the pure Korean dance terminology established by the holder Kim Geun-hee at the time of designation of intangible cultural properties in Gyeonggi-do. The unique features of Geyonggi-geommu are performed and transmitted in two forms, Daemu(Group dance) and Holchum(Solo dance) which are not currently found in other regions. This is meaningful to passed down according to the original form of Geommu(Sword dance). In particular, the Holchum(Solo dance) is a form of artistic dance, showing the beauty of the sword dance during the Chosun Dynasty. In short, Gyeonggi-geommu can be described as an artistic dance with a soft and strong temperament considering its unique features.

This study analyzed the persuasive marketing communication strategy which applied by showhost for TV homeshopping sales. Specifically, the current study focuses on the comparative analysis of tangible goods and intangible goods sales. Four sales homeshopping TV programs were selected for analysis: two overseas travel package products, one climbing clothes product and one produce of walnut. The method of rhetorical content analysis was conducted to analyze the strategy of persuasive communication. The results shows that , , were commonly used for both tangible and intangible products sales. But , , and were heavily utilized only for intangible products sales. The result of this study can contribute to provide theoretical background for future advanced research, although it has a limitation of only analyzing four sales programs.

This study analyzes the mediation or moderation effect of the characteristics of perceived organizational support (POS) and relational culture on the ambidextrous organizational performance such as exploration and exploitation. This study empirically verified using the human capital corporate panel 548 data provided by Korea research institute for vocational education & training. The empirical results of the present study are as follows. First, it is shown that formal learning and informal learning provided to the members have a positive effect on ambidextrous organizational performance. In addition, POS showed that full and partial mediation effects of the formal learning and informal learning on ambidextrous organizational performance. Finally, relational culture have an important influence on positively moderating the relationship between informal learning and exploitative performance.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a sleep-related breathing disorder in which narrowing and obstruction of the upper airway lead to frequent arousal and decreased arterial oxygenation during sleep. OSA is more common in children with genetic disorders like achondroplasia compared to children without genetic disorders. Achondroplasia is genetic disorder characterized by hypoplasia of the facial bone and skull base with foramen magnum stenosis, resulting in exceedingly high frequency of OSA. The authors present a case of a patient with achondroplasia diagnosed with severe OSA through polysomnography after adenectomy showed little therapeutic effect and who was treated with continuous positive airway pressure.

The purpose of this study is to contribute to enhancing spiritual combat power as the core of intangible combat power in Korean armed forces through analyses and suggestions on Admiral Yi Sun-sin's leadership for four major sweeping victories based upon jointness which effectively integrates tangible and intangible combat power in armed forces to maximize the synergy of fighting power. As our armed forces has improved their military structure in the dimension of hardwares so as to enhance their efficiency, according to the results of analyzing the process to promote the jointness between our armed forces and our allied powers in the dimension of softwares supporting such hardware dimensions, it was necessary to innovate the system for reinforcing future-oriented spiritual combat power as well as all the tasks related to leadership as the core of intangible combat power jointly and harmoniously. In order to derive tasks about the leadership of Korean armed forces in the dimension of softwares which should be combined with military structural reform for strengthening spiritual combat power for national defense, this study selected research questions linked with jointness. That is, (1) what is the core of military leadership in Western advanced countries in the age of jointness? (2) What are the contemporary illuminations or implications of Korean leaderships through Admiral Yi Sun-sin's war history? Then, this study analyzed literature reviews, this author's field interviews in the time of war participation, and leadership war history focusing on Admiral Yi Sun-sin's leadership for four major sweeping victories. According to the results of these analyses, this study extracted (1) the strategic leadership to predict and prepare the future, (2) the leadership of integration to create synergy effects, and (3) the leadership of knowledge to be practiced focusing on combats. In addition, in order to reinforce spiritual combat power based upon jointness, (1) it is necessary to precede in-depth and substantial leadership diagnosis for enhancing jointness. (2) It is necessary to embody national defense reform as well as integration for jointness improvement after scientifically comparing and analyzing the differentiation and integration between the Ministry of National Defense, army-navy-air force leadership centers, and PKO centers. (3) It is necessary to promote the merger and abolition between institutions related to intangibale combat power under the Ministry of National Defense.

서비스 산업에 있어서 유통이라는 것은 서비스가 제공되는 접점으로 정교한 분석과 체계적인 연구가 이뤄져야 한다. 하지만 서비스 제품의 유통채널 전략에 대해서는 중요성을 인식하면서도 지금까지 그에 대한 연구와 관심은 미흡한 실정이다. 서비스 기업이 점점 더 경쟁이 치열해 지는 경쟁적 시장상황하에서 경영혁신과 서비스 제품의 유통혁신 전략에 대수술을 추진하고 있으나 그 내용을 보면 고객지향적인 발상과는 괴리가 있다는 점에서 더욱 심각하다고 생각할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 서비스 기업이 유통채널 전략을 수립하고 실시해 가는 과정에 있어서 고려할 사항과 어떤 부분에서 메이커와의 이질적인 특징을 보이고 있는가를 분석하고 그에 대한 지침을 제시하였다. 서비스 제품의 고유의 특성(무형성, 동시성, 소멸성 등)들은, 첫째 그 유통채널 구조를 독특한 것으로 만들며, 둘째 유통채널 기능에 특징적인 것을 초래하게 하며, 섯째 유통채널의 설정은 유통채널의 설계와 유통채널의 선택이라는 두 가지 과정을 거쳐서 이뤄지며, 넷째 이러한 과정을 거쳐 유통채널을 선택하고 관리하도록 만들고 있다. 따라서 서비스 제품에 대한 제공 배달의 유통채널에 있어서는 서비스 제품에 대한 수요와 공급의 조정이나 그 제공 배달시점에서 품질의 유지향상에 관한 관리를 해 갈 필요가 있다. 또한 중간관리자에 대한 관리는 파워를 행사하거나 통제가 어려워 관리가 곤란하다고 볼 수 있으나 커미션, 수수료 등의 제공이나 딜러핼프 등을 강화함으로 극복해 나갈 수 있겠다. 결론적으로 서비스 기업이 유통채널 전략을 수립하여 실시해 갈 때에는 상술한 바와 같이 채널의 구조나 기능, 채널관리 등의 측면에서 메이커에서는 볼 수 없는 특징적인 적이 존재하므로 그 독자적인 유통채널 전략을 전개해 갈 필요가 있다고 생각한다.

기술은 기업에 있어서 없어서는 안되는 소중한 무형자산이다. 현대의 기업은 재무적 경쟁요소에서는 비교적 유사한 행태를 보이고 있으며 기업간 차별성이 거의 없다. 하지만 무형적 가치인 기술은 그 기업의 존재의 의미를 부여하는 매우 중요한 요소이다. 많은 기업들이 기술개발에 많은 시간과 비용을 들이고 있으나 그 성공확율은 10%가 채 안되는 실정이므로 신제품개발 실패시 기업에게 적지 않은 타격을 입히게 된다. 특히 중소기업의 경우 개발한 것은 무조건 성공을 시켜야 하는 어려움에 처해 있다. 이런 위험이외에 외생적 경영환경변수로 인하여 더욱 더 기업들은 위기와 위험에 노출되어 있으므로 기업들은 전사적위험관리(ERM)시스템 도입을 통해 기업의 재무건전성, 최적의 투자전략, 현금흐름, 위기로 부터의 관리가 필요하다 하겠다. 본 연구에서는 기술혁신기업에 있어서 전사적위험관리 도입의 필요성을 제시하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the current situation of physical and intangible assets, and to analyze the use of planning in a new cultural space creation project areas. For this study, literature survey, filed survey and participant observation methods were used for data collection. The results were as follows. 1) The project's characteristics had a variety of space utilization's scope. It was to emphasize the organizations and participants in the human side. 2) There are the pumping stations, mokgammak, mills, barbershops, marketplaces etc in physical assets, and it was worth the historic or agricultural facility. 3) The using plans of three kinds in hardware facilities, software programs, human ware(human abilities)are linked to each other organically. 4) The problems in the project's process include the administrative and institutional factors rather than planning matters.
