In a formal speech, the speaker's voice has a variety of effects on the listener. Depending on the voice characteristics, the effectiveness and efficiency of the speech change as well. In the presidential election, the candidate's voice characteristics will affect the cognition of voters. Thus, we need to understand about the a more effective voice of candidate. This study proves whether voters will change their cognition if the candidate changes owe voice. If the cognition of voters can be changed according to the changed voice characteristics of the candidate, we will be able to explain what voices are needed for the candidate. We will also be able to suggest the necessary voice change strategies for effective speech. We describe cognition change of the voters according to the change of the voices of the presidential candidates by the dimension of the sori-engineering and the cognitive dimension. Hence, this study explains the voice characteristics and change strategies needed for candidates for effective speech.

This study focused on the changes in the voices in determining the effects of speech training. This study aimed to make more visible and scientific evaluation of the changes in the voices among the substantial effects obtained from speech training. As a result, some objective differences from before the speech training could be found in the voice of every learner. Each learner showed gradual technical improvement in a variety of vocal elements, including resonance and timbre, accuracy of pronunciation, pause; that is, the voice became more powerful, more accurate pronounced, more pausing and more stable than before the speech training. This study determined if speech training could change a voice and the results are expected to help speech learners participate actively in speech training and see their speech ability improved.

The aim of this study was to examine the experiences of music therapists in using their voice clinically. The researcher conducted in-depth interviews with seven music therapists who were able to explain their experiences in using voice. Each interview was analyzed using the phenomenological method of Amedeo Giorgi. The data analysis yielded 9 sub-categories and 6 components: "promotion of various feelings due to clinical use of voice", "voice use depending on the therapist's personality", "voice use for therapy", "positive musical experiences with clients in using voice", "difficulty in using voice as a tool for music therapy", and "attempt to change unsatisfactory voice". The result showed that the music therapists had both positive and difficult experiences with their clients in using their voice. Their instances of perceived unsatisfactory voice prompted them to develop themselves personally and professionally. This study is intended to provide a general understanding of voice use by music therapists and offer a solid basis for music therapists to study voice in the future.

현대 사회에서 문화산업은 삶의 질을 누릴 수 있는 기회와 안식을 제공해 주는 분야라고 할 수 있을 정도로 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 특히 음악 분야는 대중성과 독창성이 함께 공존하여 감정을 표출하고 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 예술적 가치로 인정받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 음악 분야에 대한 일반인의 재능을 평가 할 수 있는 지표를 설계하기 위해 목소리가 발산하고 있는 에너지를 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 동일한 음악에 대한 가수의 목소리와 일반인의 목소리에서 성도의 모양 변화에 대한 결과 파형의 패턴 분석을 실험하여 두 집단간의 비교, 분석을 행하고자 한다. 따라서 실험에 사용될 대중적 음악을 선정하고 동일 부분에 대한 가수와 일반인의 목소리를 수집하여 시간의 흐름에 따른 음성 에너지의 변화를 패턴 분석하고 이를 비교하여 음악적 재능을 평가할 수 있는 지표를 설계하고자 한다.

In this study, we focused on the importance of politicians' voices in sending a message. Different factors for a voice may play different roles in sending a message and affect message recipients' responsiveness, understanding, and so on. For this reason, it can be said that an analytical study on voices in sending a diversity of messages is a meaningful attempt. We took interest in politicians' voices because we determined that a voice should be very important to politicians frequently sending a message through speech to the nation and others. This study aimed to investigate the voices of politicians, who represent their nation. We intended to select politicians representing ROK(Republic of Korea; South Korean) and USA(United States of America), choose representative speeches to the nation, make a comparative analysis of their voices in the speeches, and draw implications. We analyzed a total of eight voices - four ROK politicians and four USA ones, male and female - to characterize them and suggest guidelines for a voice with clearer message delivery. We analyzed the politicians' voices on the basis of such vocal properties as vocal pitch, accuracy of pronunciation, resonance, and intonation variation and found that the ROK politicians were somewhat poorer at utilizing their voice than the US ones. In particular, they were remarkably poorer at accurate pronunciation, which exerts a significant impact on message passing.

In this paper, a new vocal cords model, called a four-mass model, is proposed for a hoarse speech mechanism. Pathological changes of vocal cords cause hoarse speech and glottal waveform reflects motion states of vocal cords. From these facts, we assumed that the morbid vocal cords be dissymmetric and take the four-mass type. The glottal waveforms and the model parameters of normal and hoarse speech signals are analyzed, and some relations bet ween the model parameters and the hoarse pathology are discussed. Experimental results show that the new research method of hoarse speech can reveal relations between the acoustic features of hoarse speech and the hoarse pathology, and be used to diagnose laryngeal diseases and to improve tone quality of hoarse speech.

인간의 능력 중 가장 주목할 만한 것은 언어를 습득하고 그것을 이용하여 서로 의사소통을 할 수 있다는 것이다. 모든 언어에는 그 언어만이 가지는 특수성뿐만 아니라 공통적으로 존재하는 보편적인 특성이 있다. 이것 외에도 언어 위에 입혀지는 사람의 목소리는 의사소통을 하는데 있어 상대의 심리를 파악하는 중요한 단서가 된다. 특히, 언어는 습득되어져야 활용되고 그 습득되어지는 환경에 영향을 받으며 이러한 환경에 따라 사람의 목소리, 억양 등이 변화하게 되는 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 음성신호 분석 기법을 적용하여 장르별 영화시청에 따른 시각적, 청각적 요인이 목소리에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 장르별 영화를 시청한 후 성대 진동 및 음성에너지의 크기 변화를 측정하여 감정변화를 분석하는 실험을 수행하였다.

The human voice is one of the easiest methods for the information transmission between human beings. The characteristics of voice can vary from person to person and include the speed of speech, the form and function of the vocal organ, the pitch tone, speech habits, and gender. The human voice is a key element of human communication. In the days of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, voices are also a major means of communication between humans and humans, between humans and machines, machines and machines. And for that reason, people are trying to communicate their intentions to others clearly. And in the process, it contains various additional information along with the linguistic information. The Information such as emotional status, health status, part of trust, presence of a lie, change due to drinking, etc. These linguistic and non-linguistic information can be used as a device for evaluating the individual's credit worthiness by appearing in various parameters through voice analysis. Especially, it can be obtained by analyzing the relationship between the characteristics of the fundamental frequency(basic tonality) of the vocal cords, and the characteristics of the resonance frequency of the vocal track.In the previous research, the necessity of various methods of credit evaluation and the characteristic change of the voice according to the change of credit status were studied. In this study, we propose a personal credit discriminator by machine learning through parameters extracted through voice.

This study was conducted to explore important factors to consider when designing voice-based psychological counseling agents amid the increasing use of conversational agents in counseling and psychotherapy. 48 participants selected their preferred agent's voice among four types (young women and men, middle-aged women and men) and had a conversation with a psychological counseling agent. They also evaluated the reasons for voice selection, mood changes, perception of the agent's characteristics, and counseling outcomes. As a results, the agent's voice type selected according to the user's gender was not statistically significant. However, the qualitative analysis showed 'comfort' of the voice was an important factor. Next, the user's mood improved significantly after the conversation with the agent, which confirmed the intervention effect. Finally, it was found that expertness and attractiveness perceptions toward the agent contributed to the counseling outcomes. The implications of the study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the nonverbal voice component of the occupational therapist on the respondent's attitude of acceptance The study method was to randomly selected and provided 4 voice samples which were from the current female occupational therapist and adjusted its pause and tempo to participants who visited the local health center. After providing voices, the participants were asked to complete the survey including the questions about the acceptance attitude according to voice components. The study results showed that there were statistically significant differences in attitudes of "likeability", "credibility," "concentration", "expertise", "comprehension" (p<.05). Findings suggested that client's attitude of acceptance may change according to non-verbal voice components of the therapist.
