Abnormal Voltage Detection Circuit with Single Supply Using Threshold of MOS-FET for Power Supply Input Stage (FET 문턱전압 특징을 이용한 전원입력단용 단일전원 이상전원 검출회로)

  • All circuits in power input can only use the power provided by an external power supply. General electronic circuits use a secondary supply generated by a converter using a primary power in the power input. But protection and detection circuit for over-voltage circuit or under-voltage in power input have to use that input power because there is no other supply in power input. Therefore, previous electronics for satellite can protect only over-voltage using a zener diode, and can't detect over-voltage and under-voltage events, and provide a detection capability for over-voltage and under-voltage only for secondary supply. The proposed circuit can detect over-voltage and under-voltage using a single supply for the primary power input, +28V, with the threshold characteristics for MOS-FET, and the accuracy for a detection circuit is increased by 2.5%.

Vehicular Cooperative Navigation Based on H-SPAWN Using GNSS, Vision, and Radar Sensors (GNSS, 비전 및 레이더를 이용한 H-SPAWN 알고리즘 기반 자동차 협력 항법시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a vehicular cooperative navigation system using GNSS, vision sensor and radar sensor that are frequently used in mass-produced cars. The proposed cooperative vehicular navigation system is a variant of the Hybrid-Sum Product Algorithm over Wireless Network (H-SPAWN), where we use vision and radar sensors instead of radio ranging(i.e.,UWB). The performance is compared and analyzed with respect to the sensors, especially the position estimation error decreased about fifty percent when using radar compared to vision and radio ranging. In conclusion, the proposed system with these popular sensors can improve position accuracy compared to conventional cooperative navigation system(i.e.,H-SPAWN) and decrease implementation costs.

Study of New Approach of Performance Analysis for OADF Relay Systems over Rayleigh Fading channels (레일리 페이딩 채널에서의 OADF 릴레이 시스템에 대한 새로운 성능분석 기법에 관한 연구)

  • In this letter, we have derived another exact performance analysis for the OADF(opportunistic adaptive decode-and-forward) relay systems over Rayleigh fading channels. Based on error-events at relay nodes, the received instantaneous SNR(signal-to-noise ratio) is presented and its PDF(probability density function) is expressed as a more tractable form in which the number of summations and the length of each summation are specified. Then, exact average error rate, outage probability, and average channel capacity are obtained as general forms. Simulation results are finally presented to validate that the proposed analytical expressions can be a unified frame work covering all Rayleigh fading channel conditions. Furthermore, it is confirmed that OADF schemes can outperform the other schemes on the average error rate, outage probability, and average channel capacity.

  • The data prefetching scheme is an effective technique to reduce the main memory access latency by exploiting the overlap of processor computations with data accesses. However, if the prefetched data replicate the useful existing data in the cache memory and they are not being used in computations. performances of programs are aggravated. This phenomenon results from the lack of correct predictions for data being used in the future. When parallel programs exploit the data arrays for computations, the grain size is useful information for data prefetching scheme because it implies the range of data using in computations. Based on this information, we suggest a new data prefetching scheme exploited by the grain size of the parallel program. Simulation results show that the suggested prefetching scheme improves the performance of the simulated parallel programs due to the reduction of bus transactions as well as useful prefetching operations.

  • This study presents a novel algorithm for determining the P-wave arrival time using amoving window function to improve source localization in low-SNR (signal-to-noise ratio)acoustic emissions. The proposed algorithm was applied to low-SNR signals to verify the accuracy of measurements against existing algorithms. When other algorithms were applied, the test results revealed that SNR decreased and accuracy was reduced, especially where SNR wasless than 2.14. The proposed algorithm using amoving window function considers the frequency characteristic and signal amplitude simultaneously, and produced reliable results where SNR was 2.14.

  • There exist virtual machine scheduling delays in virtualized environment in which virtual machines share physical resources. Many resource management systems have been proposed to provide better application QoS through monitoring and analyzing application performance and resource utilization of virtual machines. However, those management systems don't consider virtual machine scheduling delays, result in incorrect application performance evaluation and QoS violations In this paper, we propose an application behavior analysis considering the scheduling delays, and a virtual machine priority allocation scheme based on the analysis to improve the application response time by minimizing the overall virtual machine scheduling delays.

  • If channel coefficients errors exist in MIMO-OFDM systems, the performance degradation of systems will occurs. In order to improve the performance of MIMO-OFDM systems, the technique of obtaining accurate channel estimation in multipath fading channel is necessary. In this paper, we introduce and propose new channel estimation-modified ICA algorithm. Simulation results shows from BER and SER curves which compare the proposed algorithm under time-varying Rayleigh fading with perfect known channel. The result of channel estimation by the proposed algorithm in this simulation, it shows that PDF(amplitude of channel) are close to the case with perfect known channel at the receiver with respect to uncoded QPSK/16-QAM/64-QAM modulation. Also, we can see that BER and SER curves are very close to the case with perfect known channel. Therefore, we see that the proposed algorithm have a good performance in MIMO-OFDM systems.

  • Nowadays there are over 1.6 billion web pages and it is hard to get necessary results that user wants. Most search engines allow you to search with logical form to get accurate results. However, normal users are not familiar to search information as logical form. Therefore, they search in natural language rather than in complicated logical form. In this paper there are some suggestions to improve quality of searching results, converting natural language input by the user into logical form which can able to use advanced search engine. Users tend to make short searches due to the 'Simplicity' which is one of the features of the search form. Therefore we suggest history retrieval method; advanced version of previous suggestion to provide convenience to the normal users. We had improvement on accuracy of the search results converting natural languages to logical form and also can contain every keyword without missing any keywords using searching methods on this paper. It is expected that these search methods will contribute to the development of search engines.

  • In dense electronic warfare signal environments, the conventional radar identification methods based on the basic parameters such as frequency, pulse width, and pulse repetition interval are confronted by the problem of identification ambiguity. To overcome this critical problem, a new approach introducing scan pattern of radars has been presented. Researches on new identification methods, however, suffer from a practical problem that it is not easy to secure the many radar signals including various scan pattern information and operation parameters. This paper presents a modeling method of radar signals with which we can generate radar signals including various scan pattern types according to the parameters determining the variation pattern of received signal strength. In addition, with the radar signals generated by the proposed model we analyze their characteristics according to the location of an electronic warfare support (ES) system.

  • This paper proposes a robust localization algorithm and optimal number of receivers considering the detection range of underwater targets. The accuracies of the source position, receiver position and sound velocity are improved using the known positions of underwater objects. The accuracies of these parameters influences the performance of the target localization error. Although the source and receiver positions are obtained by the global positioning system (GPS), there are still positional errors due to GPS and variations in sea temperature. First, the influence of those errors are analyzed mathematically and an algorithm is improved to improve the accuracies of source position, receiver position and sound velocity by using geographic points. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated in comparison with the conventional algorithm by computer simulations.
