본 논문의 목적은 모바일 서비스를 위해 GML 프로파일을 개발하는 것이다. 현재 모바일 서비스를 위하여 다양한 형태의 지도 표현과 공간정보 서비스가 개발되고 있다. 그러나, 각 모바일 서비스마다 표준화되지 않은 독자적인 방법을 통해 공간 데이터를 전송 및 처리하고 있어서 모바일 서비스간의 상호운용성을 확보하기 어려운 상황이다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 GML을 기반으로 모바일 서비스용 GML 프로파일을 개발한다. 모바일 서비스 환경을 위한 실용적인 GML 프로파일을 개발하기 위해서는 GML 명세와 모바일 서비스를 먼저 분석하여야 한다 GML의 구성요소와 모바일 서비스 및 DB분석을 기반으로 MATRIX분석을 수행하여 모바일 서비스를 위해 필요한 GML 구성요소의 부분집합을 정의한다. 이를 기반으로 모바일 서비스용 GML 프로파일을 개발한다.

Recently, as various smart phones released smart phones are becoming popular.Accordingly, the growing interest in mobile information service or advertising serviece, and attention has been concentrated in the mobile environment. These servieces should be carried out smoothly in the all situation (cannot access mobile Wi-Fi networks and 3G services), and should have the uniqueness that is fit for purpose. In this papaer, module for a particular purpose of the foundation of specialized location-based map services was implemented using a Packing R-tree by using a GIS engine based on Microsoft Window Mobile and Android operating system without communication device like 3G or Wi-Fi.

JAVA 2 ME 언어의 등장과 최근 무선 단말기에서의 KVM(Kilobytes Virtual Machine) 지원이 보편화되었지만, 휴대폰 단말기에서 벡터 지도서비스는 여러 가지 제약으로 인하여 그 동안 구현되지 못하였다. 본 논문에서는 휴대폰에서의 모바일 벡터 지도서비스를 위한 서버 모듈과 클라이언트 브라우저 모듈을 새로 설계하고 구현하여 제시한다. 본 제안 시스템은 클라이언트 모듈의 기능을 최소화하고 서버에서 지도 간소화 작업을 수행하여, 기존의 지도 데이터베이스로부터 직접 모바일 벡터 지도서비스가 가능하게 하였다.

For the mobile GIS services, it is not acceptable to construct a new map database only for wireless service due to vast cost. But the existing map database cannot be used directly for the services due to narrow wireless bandwidth and shortage of mobile device resources. This thesis proposes spatial data simplification methods, thus, the existing map database enable the mobile GIS services. The proposing methods are based on the existing map generalization techniques. We extend it to mobile environments, and implement. This thesis also includes the issue of discriminative data simplification technique according to display level and map display interface suitable for mobile devices. Research results an estimated by experiments.

본 논문에서는 모바일 단말기에서 지하공간 통합지도 관리를 위한 서비스 시스템을 설계한다. 설계된 시스템은 현장에서 수집된 정보를 모바일 단말기에서 직접 확인 후 정합성을 검증할 수 있는 기능과 허가된 사용자만이 지도 및 지하공간 정보에 접근하여 확인 및 수정할 수 있는 기능을 가진다. 또한, 설계된 모바일 서비스 시스템을 구현하기 위해 모바일 클라이언트 모듈/현장 지원 시스템, 관리자 UI 모듈/현장 데이터 반영 모듈 간 흐름을 다이어그램으로 표현하여 제안한다.

Web Map Service on mobile environment, provided with cost effective mobile GIS contents and user preferred POIs(Points of interests), is strongly required at this moment when mobile and portable Internet is rapidly spreaded on mobile user community as information technology and mobile HW are evolved in its speed, bandwidth and features. As the mobile and portable Internet becomes popular in mobile services, LBS(Location Based Service) is positioned on a mobile client as one of the best information infra services. Recently mobile GIS (Geographic Information System) comes in service to support LBS, but it is constrained and limited on its system configuration and its presentation methodology of a map, and also it depends on its run time environment. In this paper, we made an effort to design and implement a GIS computing platform with server based thin client for mobile WMS(Web Map Service). For its cost effective Platform which could be easily building up POIs and GIS contents, we're not using commercial GIS solution but NGII's (National Geographic Information Institute's) DXF numerical map, and representing the maps, GIS contents and POIs by SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) recommended by OGC(OpenGis Consortium). We're also adapting de facto standard of XML web service technology such as WSDL, SOAP to provide real time mobile GIS service on PDA as well as mobile terminal by applying a GPS receiver for a user's location information on mobile environment.

인터넷이 일반화된 지 불과 10년이 못되었지만, 기업뿐만 아니라 우리 사회 전반에 걸친 패러다임을 변화시키고 있다. 이와 같이 무선인터넷을 기반으로 한 모바일 비즈니스에 대한 관심은 높지만, 기존의 문헌들은 무선인터넷 서비스 수요, 사용자 만족도 등에 관한 연구가 주를 이루고 있다. 즉 모바일 비즈니스 모델을 통한 무선인터넷 서비스의 향후 진화방향에 관한 연구는 전무한 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 문헌고찰을 통하여 모바일 비즈니스의 모델들을 정리하고, 오재인(2000)의 The 2$\times$2 Matrix를 분석 툴을 활용하여 모바일 서비스별 현재 수요와 향후 수요를 분석함으로써 모바일 비즈니스의 진화방향을 실증적으로 규명하는 것이다. 1540명의 회수된 설문지 중 유효표본 786개를 대상으로 통계분석을 실시하여 분석된 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모바일 서비스들을 The 2$\times$2 Matrix상에 매핑한 결과 예측에는 별다른 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전체응답자, 사용자, 비사용자들의 모바일 서비스에 대한 순위는 The 2$\times$2 Matrix에서 Mobile Hub, Mobile Trade, Mobile Care, Mobile Support 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 현재와 향후 각 서비스들 간에는 차이가 있고, 현재 모바일 서비스들 각각과 향후 모바일 서비스들 각각에 대하여 서비스들 순위에는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 무선인터넷의 전반적인 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 우수하고 독특한 컨텐츠, 패킷 과금으로 저렴한 서비스를 제공하는 Cost전략 등으로 나타났다.

The mobile vector map services for mobile devices, specially for PDA, are being popularized with the advent of KVM (Kilobytes Virtual Machine). However, the services for cellular phone have some problems for implementation, which are the restrictions of bandwidth, resource of the phone, etc. Thus, these restrictions force to develop new map database exclusively for cellular phone services. But, this approach needs high costs and could not support multi user view for a same area. Therefore, we suggest new client/server system for mobile vector map services, using existing general map database, and design and implement the system. The suggested system, which has minimized functions at client and processes map simplification works at sever, makes it possible to serve mobile vector map without developing new map database only for cellular phone.

Although the reuse of the cached data for scrolling the map reduces the amount of passed data between client and server, it needs the conversions of data coordinates, selective deletion of objects, cache compaction and object structuring step in the clients. The conversion is a time- intensive operation due to limited resources of mobile phones such as low computing power, small memory. Therefore, in order to control the map efficiently in the vector map service based mobile phones, it is necessary to study the methods which reuse cached objects for reducing wireless network bandwidth and overwhelming the limited resources of mobile phones as well. This paper proposes the methods of reusing pre-received spatial objects for map control in the mobile vector map service system based on client-server architecture. The experiments conducted on the Web GIS systems with real data show that the proposed method is appropriate to map services for mobile phone. We also analyze the advantages and drawbacks between the reuse of cached data and transmission of raw data respectively.

Recently the mobile terminals using GPS offer find-way service. But for obtaining the simple small-map, this system is very additional expensive. Accordingly it is impossible to provide this service using the general mobile terminals which almost all of the people have. Therefore, in this paper we design and develop the mobile outline map and guide map to solve the problems of the existed find-way service in the mobile environments. This system supports the mobile guide service of the destination without the additional cost on mobile terminal based on WIPI at any time and any where. And mobile service providers are able to advertise for neighborhood stores of the searching destination using this system.
