The steady state and dynamic characteristics of large cell area MCFC stacks were analyzed to solve the problems such as temperature difference generated in stacks and pressure difference between anode and cathode. Manipulated variables (current density, duel utilization rate, oxidant utilization rate) and controlled variables (temperature difference, anode and cathode pressure difference) which had an important effect on the MCFC stack performance were determined using operation results of two types of MCFC stacks (5kW (3,000 $\textrm{cm}^2$, 20 ea). 3kW (6,000 $\textrm{cm}^2$, 5ea)). The stability and transfer function representing system dynamics were obtained by steady state gain rate which showed the relative change between MVs and CVs. The transfer function was a 3$\times$3 matrix and a typical first order system without time delay. The optimal operating condition of large cell area MCFC stacks could be determined by analyzing dynamic characteristics. In case of a 5 kW MCFC stack, pressurized operation with recycle flow should be used to control the outlet temperature less than 68$0^{\circ}C$ and to control the MCFC system effectively. MIMO control or decoupler should be used to remove the interaction between MVs and CVs. This result will be used as important data in determining the control structure design and operation mode of large cell area MCFC systems in the future.
In this thesis, GPS and the electronic mapping were used to realize such a system by recognizing license plate numbers and identifying the location of objects that move at synchronous times with simulated movement in the electronic map. As well, throughout the study, a camera attached to a PDA, one of the mobile devices, automatically recognized and confirmed acquired license plate numbers from the front and back of each car. Using this mobile technique in a wireless network, searches for specific plate numbers and information about the location of the car is transmitted to a remote server. The use of such a GPS-based system allows for the measurement of topography and the effective acquisition of a car's location. The information is then transmitted to a central controlling center and stored as text to be reproduced later in the form of diagrams. Getting positional information through GPS and using image-processing with a PDA makes it possible to estimate the correct information of a car's location and to transmit the specific information of the car to a control center simultaneously, so that the center will get information such as type of the car, possibility of the defects that a car might have, and possibly to offer help with those functions. Such information can establish a mobile system that can recognize and accurately trace the location of cars.
If chlorophyll-a is estimated through ocean color remote sensing, it is able to understand the global distribution of phytoplankton and primary production. However, there are missing data in the ocean color observed from the satellites due to the clouds or weather conditions. In thisstudy, the missing data of the GOCI (Geostationary Ocean Color Imager) chlorophyll-a product wasreconstructed by using DINEOF (Data INterpolation Empirical Orthogonal Functions). DINEOF reconstructs the missing data based on spatio-temporal data, and the accuracy was cross-verified by removing a part of the GOCI chlorophyll-a image and comparing it with the reconstructed image. In the study area, the optimal EOF (Empirical Orthogonal Functions) mode for DINEOF wasin 10-13. The temporal and spatialreconstructed data reflected the increasing chlorophyll-a concentration in the afternoon, and the noise of outliers was filtered. Therefore, it is expected that DINEOF is useful to reconstruct the missing images, also it is considered that it is able to use as basic data for monitoring the ocean environment.

Concrete-filled steel tubular columns can improve the strength and deformation capacity of structures, thereby enabling the development of efficient structures. The Korean design standard (KDS41) regarding concrete-filled steel tubular structures, established by the architectural institute of Korea in 2005, was revised in 2009 and 2016. The objective was to understand the compressive strengths and deformation capacity of stub columns for concrete-filled square steel tubes under uniaxial compression and validate the KDS41's standard code for necessary corrections. Experiments were conducted on 26 specimens with parameters, such as the width-thickness ratio of cold-formed square tubes. The following values of the stub columns for concrete-filled square steel tubes were obtained: compressive strengths, relationship between the axial load and axial displacement, and failure modes. An analysis of these results enabled an understanding of the concrete-filled effect and the influence of the wide-thickness ratio. The compressive strengths of filled concrete saw a 9% increase compared to a state of uniaxial stress, which must be noted in a future edition of KDS41. After benchmarking the results regarding square steel tubes generated by cold forming to the guidelines provided by the KDS41, the KDS41's value of 2.26 for the limiting width-to-thickness ratio for the compact section was found to be inflated. With a safety concern, this paper proposes a more conservative value of 1.35.

A CFRP sheet has been applied as a structural reinforcement in the field, and various studies are conducted to evaluate the effect of CFRP sheets on reinforced concrete. Although many experiments were performed from previous studies, there are still limitations to analyze structural behaviors with various parameters in experiments directly. This study shows the FEA on structural behaviors of RC beams reinforced with CFRP sheets using ABAQUS software. To simulate debonding failure of CFRP sheets which is a major failure mode of RC beam with CFRP sheets, a cohesive element was applied between the bottom surface of RC beam and CFRP sheets. Both quasi-static method and 2-D symmetric FE model technique were performed to solve nonlinear problems. Results obtained from the FE models show good agreements with experimental results. It was found that reinforcement level of CFRP sheets is closely related to structural behavior of reinforced concrete including maximum strength, initial stiffness and deflection at failure. Also, as over-reinforcement of CFRP sheets could give rise to the brittle failure of RCstructure using CFRP sheets, an appropriate measure should be required when installing CFRP sheets in the structure.
To adopt the development in the medical scenario IoT developed towards the advancement with the processing of a large amount of medical data defined as an Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). The vast range of collected medical data is stored in the cloud in the structured manner to process the collected healthcare data. However, it is difficult to handle the huge volume of the healthcare data so it is necessary to develop an appropriate scheme for the healthcare structured data. In this paper, a machine learning mode for processing the structured heath care data collected from the IoMT is suggested. To process the vast range of healthcare data, this paper proposed an MTGPLSTM model for the processing of the medical data. The proposed model integrates the linear regression model for the processing of healthcare information. With the developed model outlier model is implemented based on the FinTech model for the evaluation and prediction of the COVID-19 healthcare dataset collected from the IoMT. The proposed MTGPLSTM model comprises of the regression model to predict and evaluate the planning scheme for the prevention of the infection spreading. The developed model performance is evaluated based on the consideration of the different classifiers such as LR, SVR, RFR, LSTM and the proposed MTGPLSTM model and the different size of data as 1GB, 2GB and 3GB is mainly concerned. The comparative analysis expressed that the proposed MTGPLSTM model achieves ~4% reduced MAPE and RMSE value for the worldwide data; in case of china minimal MAPE value of 0.97 is achieved which is ~ 6% minimal than the existing classifier leads.

The construction industry suffers losses due to failures in demand forecasting due to price fluctuations in construction raw materials, increased user costs due to project cost changes, and lack of forecasting system. Accordingly, it is necessary to improve the accuracy of construction raw material price forecasting. This study aims to predict the price of construction raw materials and verify applicability through the improvement of the Data Refactor technique. In order to improve the accuracy of price prediction of construction raw materials, the existing data refactor classification of low and high frequency and ARIMAX utilization method was improved to frequency-oriented and ARIMA method utilization, so that short-term (3 months in the future) six items such as construction raw materials lumber and cement were improved. ), mid-term (6 months in the future), and long-term (12 months in the future) price forecasts. As a result of the analysis, the predicted value based on the improved Data Refactor technique reduced the error and expanded the variability. Therefore, it is expected that the budget can be managed effectively by predicting the price of construction raw materials more accurately through the Data Refactor technique proposed in this study.

In this study, the efficacy of Engineered Cementitious Composite(ECC) jacket for masonry fences subjected to lateral dynamic load was experimentally verified through a shaking table test, comparing it with the performance of an unreinforced masonry(URM) fence. Firstly, dominant frequencies, modal damping ratios and deformed shapes were identified through an impact hammer test. URM and ECC-strengthened fences with heights of 940mm and 970mm had natural frequencies of 6.4 and 35.3Hz, and first modal damping ratios of 7.0 and 5.3%, respectively. Secondly, a shaking table test was conducted in the out-of-plane direction, applying a historical earthquake, El Centro(1940) scaled from 25 to 300%. For the URM fence, flexural cracking occurred at the interface of brick and mortar joint(i.e., bed joint) at the ground motion scaled to 50%, and out-of-plane overturning failure followed during the subsequent test conducted at the ground motion scaled to 30%. On the other hand, the ECC-jacketed fence showed a robust performance without any crack or damage until the ground motion scaled to 300%. Finally, the base shear forces exerted upon the URM and ECC-jacketed fences by the ground motions scaled to 25~300% were evaluated and compared with the ones calculated according to the design code. In contrast to the collapse risk of the URM fence at the ground motion of 1,000-year return period, the ECC-jacketed fence was estimated to remain safe up to the 4,800-year return period ground motion.

Two monitoring buoys equipped with ADCP were deployed at the deepest positions along the trough of the central Gwangyang Bay in spring 2006 in order to study the circulation in the bay. Northward velocity is commonly dominant at both stations located in the eastern part of the channel, which supports the cyclonic circulation accompanied by the southward flow in the western part. The southern station has a distinct two-layer structure with current reversal at 14 m depth and increasing northward velocity in the lower layer to 36 m depth close to the bottom. At the northern station the northward flow becomes accelerated due to the decrease in the cross-sectional area and this northward current is dominant even in the upper layer. In the modal structure from the EOF analysis, the first mode has 74% of total variance at the northern station whereas it is 67% but the baroclinic portion increases at the southern station. The typical northward velocity is about 10 cm/s which is associated with the cyclonic circulation. Subtidal variability due to the local wind effect is negligible, but the nonlocal response associated with offshore Ekman flux by the zonal wind is found during strong wind events.

With the advancement of autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, autonomous driving on real roads has become feasible. However, there are challenges in achieving complete autonomy due to perceptual blind areas, which occur when the AV's sensory range or capabilities are limited or impaired by surrounding objects or environmental factors. This study aims to analyze AV accident patterns and safety issues of perceptual blind area that may occur in urban areas, with the goal of developing test scenarios for Level 4+ autonomous driving. It utilized AV accident data from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to compare accident patterns and characteristics between AVs and conventional vehicles based on activation status of autonomous mode. It also categorized AV disengagement data to identify types and real-world cases of disengagements caused by perceptual blind areas. The analysis revealed that AVs exhibit different accident types due to their safe driving maneuvers, and three types of perceptual blind area scenarios were identified. The findings of this study serve as crucial foundational data for developing Level 4+ autonomous driving test scenarios, enabling the design of efficient strategies to mitigate perceptual blind areas in various scenarios. This, in turn, is expected to contribute to the effective evaluation and enhancement of AV driving safety on real roads.
