본 연구는 모더니즘이 현대서양조경에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는가에 대한 고찰이다. 모더니티와 모더니즘의 개념규정을 통하여, 모더니즘조경의 특징과 전개과정, 그리고 그 문제점들을 분석한다. 그 결과로 모더니즘조경 은 그 형태와 기법을 현대미술, 건축에서 많이 원용한 채 모방의 수준에 머무르고 있음이 밝혀졌으며, 이러한 한계성은 앞으로 모더니즘조경 자체 의 미학을 정립해야 한다는 과제를 남겨주게 된다.

본 연구는 현대서양조경에 나타난 포스트모더니즘의 영향을 밝히고 자 하는 시도이다. 현대조경의 비평적 논의를 위한 포스트모더니즘의 개념 적 문제, 포스트모더니즘조경의 개념정의, 서구조경계의 포스트모더니즘의 논의 현황과 그 문제점등을 분석하였다. 이러한 고찰을 통하여, 최근의 서 양조경의 변화는 포스트모던 사회상황과 관련성을 가진다는 것과, 포스트 모더니즘 조경은 과거의 양식을 재현하는 역사주의적 경향과 아방가르드 성격을 지닌 해체주의적 경향의 두 모습으로 나타나는 것을 밝혔다. 그 평 가로서는, 포스트모더니즘조경은 경직된 기능주의에 근거한 모더니즘에서 벗어나는 계기가 되었다는 데에 그 의의가 있지만, 현재까지 포스트모더니 즘조경의 양상은 표피적인데 그치고 있어, 만족할만한 대안적 미학을 제시 하고있지 못하는데 그 한계가 있다고 하겠다.

Modern Society is tuning to the wide organized social structure with highly varieties. To the cultural aspects in these days of the late-indusoial society, due to the post-modernism. This kind of trend was found in overall fields of studies. Therefore, the post-modernism is to be a kind of a modern spirit ruling over the late 20th century. Post-modernism is a vague expression, that was begun to appear in various artistic intellectual, ideologic trends with a repulsion of modern design after the World War II. The present age as a modern society slews a distinguished mark of undifferentiation disorganization and relaxation, disassembling of social structure. With the study on the background of occurrence, character and philosophy for the post-modernism, the theoretical background of post-modernism could be seen. According to the influence of post-modernism, the minimalism, retro-design, kitsch-design, deconstructionism-design deconstructionism-design, new materia1-design and cyber-design shown on each trend of modern industrial design were studied.

From the perspective of postmodernism, no reality can exceed the discourse included in the representation. Recently, impact of post-modernism of archival science is often observed. Affected by postmodernism in archival science studies, archives are deliberately constructed product, and any kind of archival principle is negatively examined, not only contents but also its planning accordingly to the researches of post-modernism archives. In the eye of postmodernism, archivists are also considered as being exposed to the context of relativity. While this is sometimes seen as negative, there are such positive opinions that postmodernism would bring us closer to the reality of archives. In this paper, the nature of archives, provenance, original order and archival value as the basic concept of the modern archival science, will be discussed from the perspective of postmodernism. Also, effect and prospect of postmodernism will be discussed.

With improvements in science and technology, independent game which through individuals or small groups development mode has become one of new art creation. In these constantly emerging works, there are contents include trend of modernism thought. In this article, independent game < The Binding of Isaac > is used as an example, by analyzing that game's script, art style and animation sequence, and comparing with westward modernism literature, modernism art and modernism movie's characteristics and manifestation, we try to find how modernism thought influences the independent game design, and conclude modernism game's characteristics. Through those deep influences, we prove that the progress of productivity can also stimulate mass culture to develop in a certain extent.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence and legacy of Le Corbusier, who has been neglected in the past discourse of landscape architecture, on the formation of modernism in landscape architecture. The research examined the relationship between Le Corbusier's ideas and practices and modern landscape architecture in three parts. The first part analyzed chronologically the relationship between architecture and landscape in Le Corbusier's theories and practices. The evaluations and criticisms of Le Corbusier's landscape practices were also examined. The second part analyzed the relationship between Le Corbusier and European Modernism in landscape architecture and his influence on European modern landscape architects focusing on Vera, Lurcat, and Canneel-Claes. The third part looked into Le Corbusier's influence on American and British modern landscape architects including Tunnard, Chruch, Rose, Eckbo, and Kiley. The result of the research showed Le Corbusier's works and theories heavily influenced important landscape architects in Europe and America, who played key roles in forming Modernism in landscape architecture. Rather than introducing Le Corbusier's Modernism theory into the discourse of landscape architecture without questioning, modern landscape architects accepted his theory and practice of Modernism selectively with praise as well as criticism. Canneel-Claes, Turnnad, and Eckbo were the pioneers who tried to establish the basis of Modernism in landscape architecture by positively accepting Le Corubiser's thoughts on Modernism; whereas, Steel and Rose criticized Le Corubiser's attitude on landscape architecture. Church and Kiely were indirectly influenced by Le Corbusier in forming their Modernism style.

Xavier Dolan delves into maternal instinct and sexual identity and the attempt and experiment of his movies are not difficult to understand and not unfamiliar. He communicates with audience through pastiche and self-reflexivity, rather than disassembling and destruction of style and form of existing films. Pastiche is the intertextuality between familiar genres such as film, poem, fashion, music, painting, etc. His films shows the characteristics of postmodernism, which include genre over, de-subjectivity, interest in public culture, and representation of nostalgia. This study recognizes anew the present of postmodernism gradually going out of fashion and analyzes the characteristics of postmodernism and repeated motif in his movies. This study also analyzes Xavier Dolan's interest in social minority and allegorian characteristics through characters appearing in his movies.
