Copyright Issues for Distance Learning Library Services Focusing on the Right of Reproduction and Right of Communication (원격교육 지원을 위한 도서관 정보서비스에 있어서 저작권 문제 -복제권과 전송권을 중심으로-)

  • This study investigated the copyright problems in the course of distance teaming. The Copyright Act of Korea is built to protect the rights of authors and the rights neighboring on them and to promote fair use of works in order to contribute to the improvement and development of culture. However, for efficient use of library's materials for distance education, some articles in the Copyright Act of Korea is needed to be changed. We suggested the revision in the article 23 “Reproduction for the Purpose of School Education” and the article 28 “Reproduction in Libraries, etc”.

  • 미래의 교육은 전통적인 면대면 방식으로 이루어지는 오프라인 학습과 컴퓨터와 네트워크를 활용한 온라인 학습이 통합적으로 이루어지는 학습체계 속에서 교과서의 지식을 학생들에게 전달하는 방식의 기존 교육과는 매우 다른 모습을 보일 것이고, 학습자 중심의 개인별 맞춤식 교육을 지향하고, 원활한 의사소통 방법을 이용하여 협력 중심의 활동을 강조할 것이다. 이에 교육현장에서는 다양한 이론과 연구를 통해 교수 학습방법 개선하고, 기초 기본 학력 신장에 끝없는 노력을 기울여 왔다. 하지만 이처럼 부단한 노력에도 불구하고 기초 기본 학력의 성취 수준이 부족한 학생은 여전히 대부분의 학급에서 많이 존재하고 있다. 때문에 학생들의 학력과 교사의 지도방법을 신뢰하지 못하는 학부모들은 자녀들을 어릴 때부터 사교육으로 내몰고 있는 것이 우리 교육의 현실이다. 이러한 현실에 공교육을 보완하기위해 등장한 사이버가정학습이 그 취지에 맞게 공교육울 내실화하여 학부모와 학생들에게 신뢰성을 회복한다면 사교육비 경감 효과와 더불어 제대로 된 학교 교육의 정체성을 확보하게 될 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 블렌디드 학습모형의 하나인 온라인 보충학습 결합모형을 적용하여 학생들에게 학습에 대한 흥미와 지적 호기심을 자극함으로써, 기초 기본학습의 내실화가 이루어져 결과적으로 학생들의 기초 기본학력이 신장되었음을 확인하였다.

  • WBI as new instructional method is known to be superior to the traditional face-to-face education method with regard to cost, time and effectiveness of learning. However, WBI lacks the humanity education that teaches human nature such as cooperative spirit or morality, since WBI delivers the knowledge in a mechanical way. The objective of this study is to design and implement Web-based humanity education system that supplements WBI. The system is designed to promote the intimate relation, reliability, and openness between teacher and student. Also, this system encourages the students to experience an affirmative human relation through group activities. In additions, this system promotes parents to join together for improving their understanding of children's learning process.

  • 최근 컴퓨터와 인터넷 기술의 급속한 발전으로 교육 형태는 매우 다양하게 변화되어 가고 있다. 이 중에서 각종 멀티미디어 매체의 등장, 컴퓨터 네트워크를 통한 정보 제공, 위성 교육 방송 등은 시간과 공간을 초월한 가상 학교 모형들을 등장시키는 촉진제 역할을 하고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 가상대학에서는 각 강좌에 대한 학생들의 출석 확인 및 평가가 면대 면으로 행해질 수 없기 때문에 문제가 된다. 본 논문에서는 출석에 대응되는 강좌 참여 요소들을 설정하여, 이들에 대한 참여도로써 출석 평가를 대신하는 출석평가 시스템 PASS를 제안하였다. 이 출석 평가 모델을 통해서, 학습자에게는 강좌 참여 동기를 유발시키는 효과를 얻을 수 있으며, 평가자에게는 출석 평가에 대응되는 효과를 제공한다.

Development of a Digital Color Design Education Curriculum (디지털 색채 디자인 교육과정 개발)

  • As a result of the rapid development in the digital content industry, designers have to visualize colors across a range of digital media in a relevant and sophisticated manner. The purpose of this study is to develop a new digital color design education curriculum for enhancing learners' capability of digital color management. This study presents an original university-level color design curriculum for digital color learning that includes traditional color learning. In order to develop interactive pedagogy that provides diverse color experiences to students, this study suggestes a blended learning method that combines face-to-face instruction and web-based instruction. Through two case studies at universities, this paper illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed digital color design curriculum.

  • A lot of efforts have been made to develop a new technology for efficient distance education based on a powerful Internet service like World Wide Web. By developed distance education systems, we can study something we want at anytime and anywhere. However in spite of the excellent achievements we have made, something insufficient still is remained. Distance education methods only depending on static homepages or voices and simple drawings may be insufficient to support as much effects as in real class. So it is necessary to develop a new method for teaching students more feasibly and efficiently In this paper, we try to design and implement a lecture authoring system that offers effective distance education with voices, animations, camera images, drawings and etc.. We can expect the designed system can give more efficient education effects like a face-to-face lecture in real class. The enclosed function of intense compression enables to transmit the lectures more speedily. Besides it has caption processing function to serve additional informations to students with caption texts, messages and hyperlinks.

  • Through WWW, one of Internet services, network infrastructure is grown explosively and web-based technologies have been developed tremendously. That technologies have had a potent influence on wide-area of society, so did educational area. Meanwhile, discussion is emphasized at school education because of its great advantages at a constructivist perspective and the part of performance assessment. But, there are many differences between web-based discuss-learning instruction and face to face discussion, because the former is based on interaction through the media especially networks. Consequently, in this paper, we look into about the consideration factors of the web-based discuss-learning instruction, and also study about the support system development factors and methods.

  • Cyber school community appears to have essentially emerged from the needs for interactive communication, which would not be easy in normal school environments. Message board, chatting rooms and e-mails allow students to connect with each others, share news, find ways to help study, or post personal stories. The purpose of this paper is to give a set of guidelines, based upon the direct observations and questionnaire analysis, for utilizing the cyber school community of elementary school children. The following conclusions are provided; the appropriate ate goal needs to be set before the cyber school community is to be developed; the balance between the off-line and on-line interaction needs to be maintained; actions for motivating students to participate in the cyber community need to be taken by teachers.

  • This research aims to investigate e-Learning behavior and its different features which may vary depending on learners' characteristics and their prior e-Learning experiences. For this purpose, a survey was conducted for adult learners who had e-Learning experiences. It included various questions including place, time and process of e-Learning. The result showed that features of e-Learning behavior varies according to learner characteristics, such as gender, educational background, and their work experiences. It also revealed that work environment and the nature of e-Learning courses are influential factors for their learning behavior.

The Experiences of Transition to Non-face-to-face Lecture in Nursing Professors (간호학과 교수의 비대면 강의 전환 경험)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the transition experience from face-to-face lectures by nursing professors to non-face-to-face lectures. In this study, 17 nursing professors who have conducted non-face-to-face lectures for at least two semesters were collected through in-depth individual interviews according to the empirical phenomenological research method and analyzed according to the qualitative topic analysis method. The research results described the transition experiences of non-face-to-face lectures, focusing on the topics of change and development process according to non-face-to-face lectures, relationship with students, self-relationship, social context and sociality. In conclusion, nursing professors are expected to receive sufficient support to autonomously select non-face-to-face lectures using advanced technologies according to the trend of social change.
