To build the consistency among different metadata systems and to increase the interoperability of that systems even among different domains, naming rules and glossaries for the data elements are necessary. This study provides discussion of naming and identification of the data element concept, data element, conceptual domain, value domain, and its meta model. This study also describes example naming conventions based on ontology derived from the combination with object, properties, and representation of data elements. The naming principles and rules described in this study use I-R analysis, DC metadata set, and SHOE 1.0 as an example of the scientific documents. This study would be a guideline to build the naming rules of metadata based on ontology in various domains.

Metadata standard is very important element to describe a digital resource in the records lifecycle. Metadata standard is influenced by the purpose and content of tasks that are performed to a resource. But it does not reflect a task-centric viewpoint to cover the whole records-lifecycle because metadata is defined and designed from a resource-centric viewpoint. In other words, to cover the whole records-lifecycle using metadata, it is necessary to properly select and combine metadata property from a task-centric viewpoint. Therefore, we proposed a task-centric metadata application profile that can combine and select appropriate metadata properties according to requirements and tasks performed on resource.

메타데이터는 일반적으로 데이터에 관한 데이터로서 자원의 속성을 기술하는 데이터를 의미한다. 표제, 저자, 주제명 분류 기호 등이 포함되는 기존 도서관의 목록 레코드, 초록, 색인에 의해 생성된 데이터베이스 레코드는 이러한 의미에서 메타데이터라고 할 수 있다.

Metadata standardization of resources, having a heterogeneous metadata structure for each presidential archive and presidential library and museum is preferentially required for utilizing and sharing presidential records. An integrated operation model of metadata to manage various types of presidential records is then needed. The purpose of this study is to create a design principle of integrated metadata, and to suggest relationships and attributes of metadata, needed for developing integrated metadata operation system on presidential records. The design principle includes "creation of relationship among presidential records", "design of each entity, applicable multiple entity data model", "design to describe various types of presidential records", "design to reflect lifelong management on records of holding institutes", and "designing hybrid metadata for long term preservation". Metadata element set consists of elements for common attributes with all types of presidential records for a unique attribute for a specific presidential record and for reference information among different records related to the production of presidential records.

소프트웨어 공학의 새로운 패러다임인 컴포넌트가 지니는 다양한 속성들과 장점은 아직 많은 문제점들이 남아있는 상태이지만 소프트웨어 개발시의 높은 생산성과 효율성, 그리고 재사용성과 유지보수의 이점으로 크게 주목받고 있다. 컴포넌트의 뛰어난 장점들을 효과적으로 이용하기 위해선 우선 표준화된 명세를 통해 컴포넌트가 개발되어 유통업체나 벤더의 저장소에 저장되어 있어야 하며 구축된 저장소에서 사용자는 컴포넌트 검색 서비스를 이용하여 자신의 요구에 적합한 컴포넌트를 구매, 사용할 수 있는 체계화된 프로세스가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 컴포넌트 검색을 위한 선행 작업으로서, 검색용 메타데이터를 메타데이터가 가져야 하는 원칙을 적용하여 정의한다. 컴포넌트가 가지는 일반적인 속성과 성질로부터 사용자가 컴포넌트를 검색하고자 할 때 사용되어질 수 있는 키워드를 메타데이터의 항목으로 추출하였으며 이렇게 정의된 메타데이터를 바탕으로 일반적인 정보의 분류에 적합한 기존 웹 검색과는 다른 컴포넌트만의 검색을 다루는 새로운 검색 시스템을 설계하였다. 따라서 효과적인 컴포넌트 재사용을 위해 검색용 메타데이터와 이를 바탕으로 한 컴포트 검색 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

This study proposed a method to redesign the search system by extracting the class, property, and code values of value domain from the key elements of the MDR system that conforms to the ISO/IEC 11179 standard. To implement this, an operating system conforming to the standard is required. Therefore, this study targeted the MDR system of the Korea Information and Communication Technology Association. As a result, it was confirmed that the redesigned MDR system can easily search and utilize specific metadata without understanding the conceptual domain, metadata element concept, metadata element, and value domain proposed in the standard.

The purpose of the present study is to suggest the meta data of the attribute mapping for interoperability from IFC to CityGML. For this, we analyzed the interoperability issue including the neutral information model structure such as IFC, CityGML. To solve the interoperability problem between IFC and CityGML model which is the neutral GIS format, We proposed the meta data including the mapping rule. The meta data is consists of the connection information between BIM and GIS model, the mapping rule based on the perspective of the use-case, the operator and the attribute. By using this, XML to represent the meta data is defined and the information mapping system is developed.

Metadata is data that explains attributes and features to the data as structured data. Among them, video metadata refers to data extracted from information constituting the video for accurate content-based search. Recently, as the number of users using video content increases, the number of OTT providers is also increasing, and the role of metadata is becoming more important for OTT providers to recommend a large amount of video content to individual users or to search appropriately. In this paper, a study was conducted on a method of automatically extracting metadata for mood attributes through sound effects of images. In order to classify the sound effect of the video and generate metadata about the attributes of the mood, I would like to propose a method of establishing a terminology dictionary for the mood and extracting information through supervised learning.

본 연구는 웹상에 존재하는 메타데이터의 통합이나 그 활용성을 증진시키기 위해서 RDF를 활용하여 상이한 메타데이터 형식에 정의된 기술요소간의 어의적인 연계성을 확보하기 위한 방안에 대한 연구이다. 이를 위해 RDF스키마를 기반으로 연계성 확보의 기반이 되는 공통스키마를 설계하고, 이 스키마의 해당 클래스를 rdf： domain속성값으로 메타데이터 스키마를 설계함으로써 결과적으로 공통스키마를 기준으로 메타데이터 형식상호간 연계성을 갖도록 하였다.

이 논문에서는 메타데이터 레지스트리간의 메타데이터 교환을 위해 제안된 교환 프로토콜의 장점을 명시적으로 보이기 위한 시뮬레이션 결과에 대하여 기술한다. 기존 접근 방법들은 교환 메커니즘의 높은 복잡도, 지역 메타데이터 관리 시스템으로의 종속성, 새로운 메타데이터 관리 시스템의 추가를 위한 높은 비용 등의 문제점을 지닌다. 이를 해결하기 메타데이터 교환 프로토콜이 제안되었다. 그러나 지금까지의 연구에서는 정성적으로만 그 장점을 보였다. 이 논문의 목적은 정략적 관점에서 제안된 프로토콜의 장점을 기술하고자 함에 있다. 특히 이 논문에서는 질의 효율이 가장 중요한 문제로서 다른 요인에 의한 결과에도 영향을 주기 때문에 질의 효율성 문제에 초점을 둔다. 이를 위해 평가 항목과 평가 모델에 대해 정의한다. 질의 효율성 평가를 위한 요인 중에서 대상 메타데이터의 개수, 각 메타데이터를 구성하는 컴포넌트의 개수 및 각 컴포넌트들을 구성하는 속성들의 개수를 주 파라미터로 이용하였다. 이에 따라 시뮬레이션은 크게 세 가지 유형을 지니게 된다 정량적 평가를 통해 교환 프로토콜이 요구되는 이유와 그 정당성을 명시적으로 보인다.
