스마트폰에 내장되고 있는 Symbian OS, Windows CE .NET, Palm OS와 같이 멀티태스킹을 기본적으로 지원하면서, 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터 서비스의 지원, IPv4, Bluetooth 와 같은 다양한 네트워킹 기술 지원, 데스크 탑 PC와의 데이터 호환 기능 등이 제공되는 최신의 모바일 운영체제들이 개발되면서 멀티미디어 중심의 이동통신 서비스의 변환을 촉진시키고 있다. 이러한 고성능의 모바일 OS들의 기능으로 인한 위피(WIPI)나 퀄컴사의 브루(Brew)와 같은 무선인터넷플랫폼과의 관계를 제시하고 향후 발전 방향과 구조를 제시하고자 한다.

Purpose: This study aims to develop Tablet PC-based multimedia educational contents on the procedures from surgery preparation to recovery for hospitalized patients who are going to undergo thoracic surgery and their families. Methods: The educational contents were created based on literature review and a survey of needs in patients and their families who were admitted to a hospital in Seoul from Dec. 2013 to May 2014. The contents were developed in conjunction with a film production company. The educational materials including texts, images, sounds, and videos were developed appling the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) model. Results: Two multimedia educational contents were developed for the patients with coronary artery bypass graft or lung surgery. Each content consisted of six subdivisions of self-learning for 20 minutes. The developed educational contents were completed after testing content validity by 30 medical experts. Conclusion: This study recommends that the Tablet PC-based educational contents for thoracic and cardiovascular patients and their families be used in general wards and intensive care units to relieve their anxiety before surgery and reduce postoperative complications.

This paper presents a multimedia mail system which transmit and redeive multimedia mailing messges on Intemet.This mail system is an extension of the exsting e-mail system for multimedia uncluding,text,image,MPEG video,and binary data,The MIME(Multipurpose Intert Mail Extensions)format,which is an extension of REF-822 maill format,is used to reprssent multimedia,and SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)is utilized as a mail transport prttocol.The IMAP(Intenet Mail Access Protcol)which privides more functions than the widely used POP(Post Office Protocol)is used as a mailbox retrival protocol.The mail client is complemented on a multimedia PC while the server is implemented on a UNIX system.In the mail system, a mail sending program allows a user to attach binary files such as Postscript files and MPEG compressed video,while a receiving program provides direct interface to application programs to play back received multimedia mail messages.

온라인 문자 인식 기술은 PDA, 테블릿 PC등 많은 새로운 응용에서 사용되고 있으나, 인식 기술은 아직 이러한 첨단 도구들을 자연스럽게 이용하기에는 못 미치는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인식률을 높이기 위해 전처리 과정에서 문자를 구성하는 획수를 통해 인식 시 해당 HMM 모델들에게만 적용하여 인식 시간을 줄이고 동시에 오류도 줄이고자 한다 제안하는 방법들의 타당성은 실험을 통해서 검증하였다.

In this paper, performance of 8-ISDN traffic for the buffer size which is requested of important parameters in switch/multiplexer of B-ISDN with multimedia traffic is analyzed. Multimedia traffic is modeled as a traffic, which is composed of poisson distribution traffic and burst traffic with exponential/geometric ON time duration(Burst duration) Performance of traffic which is modeled as a multimedia traffic is analysed and buffer size, can provide the high quality service, is presented for the cell loss probability. It is simulated using event scheduling approach method which is provided by simulation package, PC SIMSCRIPT II.5. Simulation program is composed of PREAMBLE, MAIN, INITIAL, ARRIVAL, DEPARTURE and STOP·SIM modules. Specially, in case of mixed traffic simulation, ARRIVAL module is composed of ARRIVAL I and ARRIVAL II, and cells are generated independently by each module.

Lately, development of multimedia industry has multimedia data serviced through various wire wireless communicating environment. These multimedia data is displayed on the device of various sizes such as mobile telephone, PDA, notebook, PC. Therefore, there has needed to resize multimedia data appropriate to the screen size of user's display device. In this paper, we propose the method to resizing H.264 videos sequence fitting to the screen size of user's display device. The existing most methods reduce the size of video sequence, but this paper proposes the upsampling method. The results show the proposed method upsamples video sequences without blocking effects.

반도체 기술의 비약적 발전에 힘입어 현재의 개인용 컴퓨터는 고성능 CPU를 탑재하고 1990대의 텍스트 기반의 운영체제에서 벗어나 그래픽 기반의 운영체제에서 다양한 멀티미디어 기능을 제공 한다. 이를 위한 입력장치로 텍스트 기반 운영체제에서 주로 사용된 키보드뿐 아니라 마우스, 카메라, 터치스크린 등의 다양한 장치들이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 빔 프로젝터를 이용한 프레젠테이션의 경우 아직도 레이저포인터를 이용한 발표가 일반적이며 발표자와 빔 프로젝트용 PC와의 인터랙션이 없기 때문에 다양한 멀티미디어 기능 구현이 제한적이다. 본 논문에서는 USB 웹 카메라를 이용하여 프로젝터 화면을 촬영한 후 영상처리 라이브러리인 OpenCV를 기반으로 레이저 포인터의 위치와 동작을 검출하여 원거리에서도 사용자가 레이저 포인터를 이용하여 마우스 동작을 재현할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 활용하면 레이저 포인터를 사용하여 발표자가 별도의 입력장치 없이 PC와의 인터랙션이 가능해져서 다양한 멀티미디어 기반의 프레젠테이션이 가능해진다.

The next generation IP-PBX system are demanding multimedia facility to carry out UC(Unified Communication) and voice security also. Therefore, in this paper, we have developed the integrated solution of IP-PBX for the voice security by adopting VPN IPsec based on SIP using tunnel method in transmitting voice data to prevent eavesdrop of voice data and have shared between communication system based on PC and PSTN terminals. In particular, We have developed a video conference, private switching, distributed processing and measured telephone conversation quality. This IP-PBX that is connected Soft-phone provide various optional services.

인터넷의 발전과 함께 많은 성장을 하고 있는 멀티미디어 응용서비스의 중의 하나인 인터넷폰은 PSTN이 아닌 인터넷의 U(Internet protocol)을 통해 전화와 관련된 기능을 구현하는 일련의 통신서비스 기술로서 인터넷을 이용하여 음성을 전달하기 위한 기술이 요구된다. 그리고 인터넷폰 시스템은 통화하고자 하는 착발신 단말의 종류에 따라 PC-to-PC, PC-to-Phone, Phone-to-PC 인터넷폰 시스템으로 구분되어 질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 우선 사내 전화교환기인 사설교환기(PABX) 없이 동일한 UM 상의 임의의 두 PC간의 통신과 서로 다른 MU 상의 임의의 두 PC간에 통신이 가능하도록 PC-to-PC 인터넷폰 시스템의 호제어 메시지 처리, 상태전이도 등의 교환기 및 단말기 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 관해 연구하였다. 향후 PC-to-Phone과 Phone-to-PC 인터넷폰 시스템에 관한 연구를 지속적으로 수행할 것이다.

스마트 폰의 등장으로 인해 사용자들은 모바일 기기를 통해 언제 어디서나 인터넷 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 되었고 더불어 다양한 앱을 통해 기존에 PC에서 제공되던 서비스들이 모바일 기기로 이동하게 되었다. 이러한 변화는 TV시장에도 영향을 미치게 되었고 TV에서도 인터넷 서비스뿐만 아니라 다양한 앱 서비스를 이용할 수 있는 스마트TV 시대를 열게 되었다. 스마트 TV시스템은 방송망과 인터넷 망을 통해 사용자에게 보다 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 되었으나 각 인터넷 콘텐츠 제공자가 앱 형태로 콘텐츠를 제공함으로써 다양한 콘텐츠 제공자로부터 사용자가 원하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 검색하는 데에 한계가 있었다. 본 논문은 사용자 키워드 검색문 의미해석을 통해 서로 상이한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 메타데이터 정보 구조를 가지고 있는 콘텐츠 제공자들이 효과적으로 검색결과를 제공할 수 있는 스마트TV통합검색시스템에 대하여 기술한다.
