Efficent Key distribution and security of Multicast elevation construction (멀티캐스트의 효율적 키 분배 및 보안성 향상 구축)

  • 대부분의 인터넷 서비스는 일대일 전송방식의 best-effort를 지향하는 유니캐스트(Unicast)가 보편화 되어있다. 하지만, 다자간 통신 서비스는 고려하지 않아 망 자원 이용측면에서 매우 비효율적이다. 최근, 인터넷방송이나 소프트웨어 분배, 원격 화상회의, 다중사용자 게임, 증권시세 정보서비스 등 다자간 멀티미디어 서비스가 주요 인터넷 사업으로 각광을 밭으면서, 멀티캐스트(Multicast) 전송기술의 사용범위가 점차 증가되고 있다. 멀티캐스트는 그룹참가자의 가입과 탈퇴가 빈번한 특징이 있어 키 전달 과정에서 네트워크의 과부하를 초래한다. 본 논문에서는 빈번하게 생성되는 그룹 키의 길이를 축소시켜 메시지의 생성과정을 단축하고, 독립된 그룹간 통신에 사용되는 유니캐스트에 IPSec(Internet Protocol Security Protocol)을 적용시켜 보다 안전하게 구간의 접근제어와 무결성 및 기밀성을 보장하는 SDKD(Secure Dynamic Key Distribution)를 제안한다.

  • This article proposes traffic dispersion with optical transmission technical and development of transmission rate for the safe multicast computer communication in the high bandwidth, Recently multicast traffic such as distance conference or Internet broadcast increases therefore the importance of traffic dispersion and transmission rate is emphasized. Ultimately this article offers the way of carrying out the above suggestion, First this paper points out traffic problems occurred in voice and text centered transmission. Next, transmission rate can be controlled by optical transmission technic to solve above difficulties in the multimedia and Internet. We investigated the feature and output on Add-Drop Mux/Demux and Also presented charges of length accord each stage in interference. We can show, the best data of design as a result of this experiment.

  • 최근 초고속인터넷과 다채널 방송, VOD(Video on Demand), HDTV 등의 광대역 통합 서비스와 음성, 음악, 원격강시, 화상전화/회의 등의 부가기능을 제공하는 통신 서비스를 동시에 수용하기 위해 VDSL(Very high speed Digital Subscriber Loop)에 대한 연구가 진행중이다. 본 논문에서는 DSL 포럼 및 FS-VDSL 위원회의 기고서와 규격를 바탕으로 ATM과 IP 기반의 VDSL물 이용한 디지털 방송 서비스를 제공하기 위한 종단간 ATM 모델과 ATM-IP 연동 모델에 대한 망의 구성 및 프로토콜 스택을 제시하고 비교 분석한다. 그리고 ATM/VDSL 기반에서 DSM-CC(Digital Storage Media Command and Control)와 IGMP(Internet Group Management Protocol) 프로토콜을 이용한 디지털 방송 서비스 제공 절차를 제안한다.

  • Multicasting plays an important role in providing multimedia services like audio and video conferencing and has been actively studied for many years. The study of multicasting has been mainly focused on finding a low-cost tree on the assumption that every edge of the tree has enough link capacity to be allocated to the amound of bandwidth required by a service. In some cases, however, a multicasting tree whose some edges do not have enough bandwidth to be allocated may exist. A typical example of this case is to multicast among the group users located in the different sub-networks in the interconnected networks composed of the high bandwidth networks such as B-ISDN and the low bandwidth networks such as PSTN and PSDN. This paper proposes a novel multicasting protocol for providing multimedia services in a wide area network interconnected by multiple heterogeneous networks. First, the paper discusses the inherent limitation of present multicasting protocols for the case. Second, se introduce a new concept, multiple QoS's for a service, which extends the implicit assumption that only one QoS is assigned to a service in order to overcome this limitation. Third, our multicasting protocol is designed based on the current Internet protocol stacks. Last, we perform simulations for possible scenarios to provide multimedia services in the network and analyze their pros and cons.

  • 최근 인터넷에서는 인터넷 방송, 화상 회의, VoIP 등 QoS 보장을 요구하는 새로운 응용 서비스들의 출현과 함께 IP QoS의 문제는 인터넷에서 가장 주요한 과제 중 하나로 등장하고 있다. 이러한 QoS의 적용은 가장 상용화 되어 있는 이더넷 망에서도 마찬가지로 적용되어야 하는 문제이다. 또한 사용자들은 SLA(Sonics Level Agreement)내에서 최선의 QoS 요구하게 되었다. QoS 보장을 위해 기존에는 통합 서비스(Integrated Service)나 차별화 서비스(Differentiated Service) 방식만을 사용하였으나 실제 적용하는데 구현상의 여러 문제점이 발견되었고, 대역폭 할당 방식에 있어서도 토큰 버킷(Token Bucket)과 같은 복잡한 방식을 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 간단하면서 적용하기 쉬운 QoS 보장을 위한 멀티큐에서의 속도 계산(Rate Calculation)방식을 제안하며 OPNET을 통해 제안된 방식을 검증하도록 한다.

A Study on PON-based Mobile Backhaul Using Network Coding (네트워크 코딩을 이용한 PON기반 무선백홀 연구)

  • With rapidly growing mobile wireless services, the existing copper-based mobile backhaul technologies suffer from reaching the capacity limits. PON technologies is drawing attention as a key solution to replace the existing mobile backhaul technologies due to not only providing innovative network capacity but also cost-effective maintenance caused by the bandwidth gain from optical fibers. With a PON-based mobile backhaul, broadband wireless multimedia services such as a video conference and IPTV can be seamlessly provided. In this paper, we first introduce overview of the PON-based mobile backhaul technology. For a example of practical integration, three types of EPON-WiMAX integrated architectures are proposed and comparatively analyzed in term of costs and network performance. Then, applicable plan and anticipated effects are presented when applying network coding on the PON-based mobile backhaul to improve the performance of delivering multicast traffic.

Application-Aware Fast Handover for Multimedia Streaming Service in Wireless LAN (무선 랜에서 멀티미디어 스트리밍을 위한 응용 인지 기반 고속 핸드오버)

  • Providing handover with guaranteed QoS for real-time multimedia service such as VoIP, video/audio streaming, and video conferencing in wireless LAN is a challenging task. In this paper, we present efficient layer 2 handover mechanism in wireless LAN, which can provide fast handover with guaranteed QoS for real-time multimedia service. To this end, the scanning period and the number of channels per scanning for handover are dynamically adapted to the type of applications and wireless networking environment, so that both the degradation of application service quality and signaling overhead are minimized simultaneously. The performance of the proposed mechanism is verified by the simulation. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism guarantess QoS of each multimedia application with minimal power consumption.

Developing an Adaptive Multimedia Synchronization Algorithm using Leel of Buffers and Load of Servers (버퍼 레벨과 서버부하를 이용한 적응형 멀티미디어 동기 알고리즘 개발)

  • The multimedia synchronization is one of the key issues to be resolved in order to provide a good quality of multimedia related services, such as Video on Demands(VoD), Lecture on Demands(LoD), and tele-conferences. In this paper, we introduce an adaptive multimedia synchronization algorithm using the level of buffers and load of servers, which are modeled and analyzed by ExSpect, a Petri net based simulation tool. In the proposed algorithm, the audio and video buffers are divided to 5 different levels, and the pre-defined play-out speed controller tries to make the buffer level to be normal in different temporal relations between multimedia streams using buffer levels and server loads. Because each multimedia packet is played by the pre-defined play-out speed, the media data can be reproduced within the permissible limit of errors while preserving the level of buffers to be normal. The proposed algorithm is able to handle and support various communication restrictions between providers and users, and offers little jitter play-out to many users in networks with the limited transmission capability. The performance of the developed algorithm is analyzed in various network conditions using a Petri net simulation tool.

The study on Multicast Cell Scheduling for Parallel Multicast packet switch with Ring Network (링망을 이용한 병렬 멀티캐스트 패킷스위치에서의 멀티캐스트 셀 스케줄링에 관한 연구)

  • A goal of a BISDN network is to provided integrated transport for a wide range of applications such as teleconferencing, Video On Demand etc. There require multipoint communications in addition to conventional point-to-point connections. Therefore multicast capabilities are very essential in multimedia communications. In this paper, we propose a new multicast cell scheduling method on the Parallel Multicast Packet Switch with Ring network: PMRN which are based on separated HOL. In this method, we place two different HOLs, one for unicast cells and the other for multicast cells. Then using non-FIFO scheduling, we can schedule both unicast cells and multicast cells which are available at the time in the input buffer. The simulation result shows that this method reduces the delay in the input buffer and increases the efficiency of both point-to-point network and ring network and finally enhances the bandwidth of the overall packet switch.   • In this paper, we propose a novel sharing method ordering the events occurring between users collaborated with the common telecomputing environment. We realize the sharing method with multimedia data to improve the coworking effect using teleprocessing network. This sharing method advances the efficiency of communicating projects such as remote education, tele-conference, and co-authoring of multimedia contents by offering conveniences of presentation, group authoring, common management, and transient event productions of the users. As for the conventional sharing white board system, all the multimedia contents segments should be authored by the exclusive program, and we cannot use any existing contents or program. Moreover we suffer from the problem that ordering error occurs in the teleprocessing operation because we do not have any line-up technology for the input ordering of commands. Therefore we develop a method of retrieving input and output events from the windows system and the message hooking technology which transmits between programs in the operating system In addition, we realize the allocation technology of the processing results for all sharing users of the distributed computing environment without any error. Our sharing technology should contribute to improve the face-to-face coworking efficiency for multimedia contents authoring, common blackboard system in the area of remote educations, and presentation display in visual conference.
