Flow Characteristics due to Cutoff angle of Turbo-Fan for Industries (산업용 Turbo형 송풍기의 Cutoff 각도에 따른 유동특성)

  • This study aims to analyze the flow characteristics of turbo-fan which is applied to the industrial field. Numerical analysis has been carried out to investigate the pulsation behavior of exhaust air flown out turbo fan by rotating impeller with constant speed. Moving mesh technique is proved as time-accurate solution for the flow inside impeller. As numerical results come within the error range of 1% by comparing with theoretical results, the numerical analysis can be verified. Cutoff angle has large influence on the amplitude of pulsation and the least pulsation of flow can be generated by the cutoff angle of $20^{\circ}$.

  • Pressure control is possible by pulse width modulation signal driving a simple ON/OFF 2-way valve of hydraulic servo system. But it indices pressure fluctuation due to repeated on-off action and the pressure varies according to the duty ratio and carrier frequency. So mean pressure and ripple amplitude are arranged by experimental study as the driving signal change which decides the pressure characteristics. As the result selection criteria of the major design parameters may be established and the basic strategy to suppress the unnecessary flucturion may be provided for a hydraulic pressure control system.

  • Based on experimental analysis, the characteristics of pulsating pressure wave propagation is clarified by testing of 4-stroke gasoline engine. The pulsating pressure wave in exhaust system is generated by pulsating gas flow due to working of exhaust valve. The pulsating pressure wave is closely concerned to the loss of engine power according to back pressure and exhaust noise. It is difficult to exactly calculate pulsating pressure wave propagation in exhaust system because of nonlinear effect. Therefore, in the first step for solving these problems, this paper contains experimental model and analysis method which are applied two-port network analysis. Also, it shows coherence function, frequency response function, back pressure, and gradient of temperature in exhaust system.

배관 세척장치의 성능평가

  • 점차 복잡해지고 있는 사회적 욕구를 만족시키기 위한 건물에서는 반드시 복잡한 설비가 요구되고 있고, 이러한 설비시스템 중에는 급수, 급탕 및 배수설비라고 하는 배관시스템이 없다면 기능유지에 막대한 지장을 초래할 것은 자명하다고 하겠다. 이러한 배관시스템에서는 항시 또는 일부 사용되어질 물이나 사용된 물이 흐르기 때문에 배관내부에 발생하는 스케일(scale)이나 슬라임(slime) 등은 피할 수 없는 사실인 것이다. 건축물 내에 설치된 각종 배관은 건물의 기능을 유지하고 보건위생과 직결되는 중요한 기능을 담당하고 있어 세척의 필요성이 매우 높음에도 불구하고 배관의 수명이 다할 때까지 거의 세척이 이루어지지 않고 사용되어 왔다. 이들 배관에 대한 세척은 배관의 수명연장과 관마찰 계수를 낮추어 급수의 수송동력을 절감할 수 있고, 난방관의 열전달 효과를 높여 에너지 절약 효과를 거두어 건물의 유지관리 비용 절감에 기여할 수 있음에도 적절한 세척공법이 개발되지 않고 있다. 이러한 관점에 맞추어 건물배관의 특성에 맞도록 고압 세척장치를 개발하고 이를 이용한 세척공법을 적용하고자 하였다. 즉, 배관 내에 압축공기를 주기적으로 분사하여 맥동현상이 일어나도록 하면서 기포를 발생시켜 기포가 관의 내벽에서 성장하여 파괴될 때 관내에 부착된 이물질을 제거할 수 있고, 또한 세척효과를 높이기 위하여 관의 벽면에 접촉하면서 배출되는 과정에서 이물질을 제거할 수 있도록 구조와 아울러 이들 장치를 이용한 세척방법의 적용성에 대해서 고찰하고자 한다.

  • In this study, a computer analysis has been developed for predicting the pipe pressure of the intake and exhaust manifold in a single cylinder engine. To get the boundary conditions for a numerical analysis, one dimensional and unsteady gas dynamic calculation is performed by using the MOC(Method Of Characteristic). The main numerical parameters are the variation of the exhaust pipe diameters to calculate the pulsating flow when the intake and exhaust valves are working. As the results of numerical analysis, the shapes and distributions of the exhaust pipe pressures were influenced strongly on the cylinder pressure. As the exhaust pipe diameter is decreased, the amplitude of exhaust pressure is large and the cylinder pressure was showed low in the region of intake valve opening time.

  • The clutch system is a subcomponent of the transmission that is designed to engage and disengage power flow between the engine and the transmission. Recently, the engine power of automobile has been continuously increased because of customer's demand for the bigger one. As the engine power is increased, the vibration transmitted to the hydraulic clutch operating system has been increased. Therefore the demand for the reduction of clutch pedal vibration during the operation has been increased. This paper describes the pressure pulsation reduction characteristics of the damper cylinder which is applied to the hydraulic clutch operating system. And the purpose of this study is to propose an analysis model and investigate the effect of the design variable variations for the hydraulic clutch system. Especially, we studied the effect of damper cylinder parameter variations on the hydraulic clutch system performance.

  • Leak problem with large pressure drop occurrs non-periodic shock pulsation due to the deterioration of a isolation valve in feed-water recirculation piping system. This paper discusses on the shock vibration and noise occurred due to the effect of acoustical shock pulsations by degradation of the isolation valve in a power site.

  • An unstructured grid finite-volume method has been applied to predict the linear and nonlinear attenuation characteristics of the expansion chamber silencer system. In order to achieve a grid flexibility and a solution adaptation for geometrically silencer system. In order to achieve a grid flexibility and a solution adaptation for geometrically complex flow regions associated with the actual silencers, the unstructured mesh algorithm in context with the node-centered finite volume method has been employed. The present numerical model has been validated by comparison with the analytical solutions and the experimental data for the acoustic field of the concentric expansion chamber with and without pulsating flows, as well as the axisymmetric blast flowfield with open end. Effects of the chamber geometry on the nonlinear wave attenuation characteristics is discussed in detail.

크라이오펌프 성능평가 장치 운전특성

  • 국내에서 크라이오펌프 개발이 한창 진행되고 있다. 냉동기는 GM 타입이 아니고, 맥동관 형식을 채택하여 기존 상용제품과 차별화 하고 있다. 목표성능은 질소기준 배기속도가 3,600 L/s이고 다른 성능들은 기존의 상용 펌프와 유사하며 내부 구조에 상관없이 외형적으로 비슷한 제원을 가지도록 개발되고 있다. 시제품의 성능을 국제규격에 맞추어서 평가하기 위해 성능평가 장치를 구성하고 시운전 중에 있다. 평가장치는 double dome과 single dome을 모두 갖추었으며 주 배기펌프는 측정 대상 크라이오펌프가 맡고, 보조 배기펌프는 양 시스템 모두 소형 TMP를 사용하고 있다. 크라이오 펌프를 10-10 mbar 대에서부터 성능을 측정하기 위해 평가장치는 10-11 mbar 대에서 운전하도록 목표가 살정되었다. 거의 크라이오 펌프만으로 이런 목표를 달성하기 위해 어던 과정을 거쳤는지 소개하고 이 장치를 사용하여 1,500 L/s 급, 8인치 상용 크라이오 펌프를 달아 배기속도를 측정한 결과와 제시된 값을 비교했다.
