A study of the transfer characteristics of pressure waves using two-port network analysis in exhaust system of engine (양단자 회로망 분석을 이용한 기관배기계의 압력파 전달특성에 관한 연구)

  • Based on experimental analysis, the characteristics of pulsating pressure wave propagation is clarified by testing of 4-stroke gasoline engine. The pulsating pressure wave in exhaust system is generated by pulsating gas flow due to working of exhaust valve. The pulsating pressure wave is closely concerned to the loss of engine power according to back pressure and exhaust noise. It is difficult to exactly calculate pulsating pressure wave propagation in exhaust system because of nonlinear effect. Therefore, in the first step for solving these problems, this paper contains experimental model and analysis method which are applied two-port network analysis. Also, it shows coherence function, frequency response function, back pressure, and gradient of temperature in exhaust system.

  • High pressure hose having tuning cables, called Resonator hose is frequently used to attenuate pressure ripple generated by the pump for reducing the vehicle interior noise. A number of studios have been conducted on the resonator hose and its analytical models. However, there are few studies which deal with the influence of resonator hose on vehicle interior noise because the most of studies were focused on transmission loss of the resonator hose. This paper presents NVH test results of power steering system and frequency analysis results. In the frequency analysis, both the relations between vibration, pressure ripple and vehicle interior noise and also the design parameters of high pressure hose influencing on vehicle Interior noise were discussed. The test was done for various high pressure hose specimens in full turn condition.

A Simulation of Forcing Function for the Piping Vibration in Petrochemical Plants (석유화학 플랜트에서 배관 가진 함수의 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구)

  • For the simulation of piping vibrations in petrochemical plants, forcing functions mainly depend upon the equipment working mechanism and vibration resources in the piping systems. In general, harmonic function is used to simulate rotary equipment. Mechanical driving frequencies, wave functions, and response spectrum are used to simulate reciprocating compressors, surge vibration of long transfer piping, and seismic/wind vibration, respectively. In this study, the general suggestions for forcing functions were reviewed and proposed the forcing function to simulate the spray injection system inside the pipe in which two different fluids are distributed uniformly. To confirm the results, the scheme was applied for a real piping system. The vibration mode of the real system was consistent with the 4th mode (26.725 Hz) obtained by simulation using the forcing function presented in this study.

  • 최근 계속되는 유가 상승과 화석에너지의 고갈 문제, 그리고 환경에 대한 관심 증가로 인해 자동차의 연비 개선 및 배기가스 저감을 위한 친환경 자동차 기술로 전기자동차에 대한 연구 활동이 활발하게 진행 중이다. 전기자동차에서 동력을 발생시키는 대용량 전동기는 큰 토크 발생에 필요한 전류를 받아들이기 위하여 내부적으로 이중 권선을 갖도록 구성되어 있고, 인버터 전력소자는 대용량 소자를 사용하거나 병렬로 구성하여 전동기 1상의 전류를 감당하도록 되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 전동기의 이중 권선에 인버터의 전력회로를 병렬로 구성하여 6선 3상으로 연결함으로써 전동기에 인가되는 인버터의 PWM 스위칭 주파수를 기존보다 낮게 사용하더라도 스위칭 소음, 전류의 맥동 및 손실을 줄일 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다.

  • The fault analysis and detecting algorithm for a 3 phase diode rectifier is proposed. The 3 phase dioderectifier is used for the AC power rectifier of the PWM inverter. The input power or diode faults cause theripples of the DC voltage, degradation of the control performance and life shortening of the DC link capacitor.In this paper, the ripple of the DC voltage is mathematically analyzed for the earth fault of input power andopen circuit fault of the diode, respectively. The fault detection and type of fault can be obtained by comparingthe average DC voltage and the instant DC voltage which is sampled with 6 times of grid frequency. Theproposed method can be easily applicable and doesn't require additional circuit. The experimental and simulationresults are presented to verify the validity of the proposed method.

  • Vibration of compressor in the air-conditioner outdoor unit have known to be main noise source radiated from outdoor unit. However, as the operating speed of compressor increase, the relative contribution of flow induced vibration and noise is also increase. In this paper, the numerical method was established to predict fluid-borne noise from compressor discharging pipe of air-conditioner outdoor unit. In this step, numerical result was compared to experimental one to verify numerical method. Additionally, the effects of pressure pulsation of compressor and compressor vibration into radiated noise were investigated in frequency domain. It was confirmed that the compressor vibration contributed to the low frequency band, while the pressure pulsation dose to the high frequency band.

  • This paper investigated the characteristics of the turbulent incompressible flow past the orifice ring in an axi-symmetric pipe. The flow field was the turbulent pulsatile flow for Reynolds number of $2{\times}10^{5}$ which was defined based on the maximum velocity and the pipe diameter at the inlet, with oscillating frequence $(f_{os})=1/4{\pi}$ which was considered as quasi-steady state frequence. In the present investigation, finite analytic method was used to solve the governing equations in Navier Stokes and turbulent transport formulations. Particularly at high Reynolds number and low oscillation frequency, the effects of orifice ring on the flow were numerically investigated. The separation zone behind the orifice ring during the acceleration phase was found to be decreased. However, during the deceleration phase, the separation behind the orifice ring for pulsatile flow continuously grow to a size even larger than that in steady flow. The pressure drop in steady flow was found to be constant and always positive while for pulsatile flow the pressure drop change with time. And large turbulent kinetic energy, dissipation rate were found to be located in the region where the flow passes through the orifics ring. The maximum turbulent kinetic energy, generally occurs along the shear layer where the velocity gradient is large.

Design of a 1.2kW 14V Low Voltage Output High Efficiency Full-Bridge DC-DC Converter (1.2kW 14V 저전압 고효율 플-브릿지 DC-DC 컨버터 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 각각의 스위치 시비율(Duty ratio)의 변화를 이용한 기존의 풀-브릿지 방식과 두 쌍의 스위치 신호 위상 변화를 이용한 위상천이 풀-브리지(Phase-shift Full-bridge) 방식의 차이점을 서술하였다. 위상천이 컨버터의 안정성을 연구하기 위하여, 출력 전류의 맥동(ripple)을 작게 하는 배전류(Current Doubler) 정류회로와 효율을 높이기 위한 동기 정류기(Synchronous Rectifier)를 포함한 평균화 된 스위치 모델을 제안한다. 이 모델을 이용하여 PSPICE 시뮬레이션을 통해 안정성을 고찰하였으며 1.2kW급 170-14V DC-DC 컨버터의 시작품을 제작 후 시뮬레이션 결과와 시작품 결과를 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션의 경우 위상여유는 $58^{\circ}$ 시작품의 위상여유는 $68^{\circ}$로 나타났으며 교차주파수는 12kHz로 동일하게 나오는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 제안한 시뮬레이션 모델을 이용하여 실제 회로의 안정성을 예측할 수 있으며 이를 실제 회로 제작에 활용 할 수 있다.
