Design and Implementation of web-based production monitoring system for small manufacturers (소규모 제조업체에 적용 가능한 웹 기반 생산모니터링 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper implements a web - based production monitoring system that can be used efficiently by small - scale manufacturers. Small-scale enterprises, especially small-sized enterprises with less than 5 employees, need an efficient production management system because productivity is important. However, in reality, the manager and the worker verbally report work orders and production, and when one of the members is absent, the delay in the work process increases. If the time required for the work process increases, the productivity will be affected and the sales of the enterprise will be affected. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a web - based production monitoring system that can be used efficiently by small - sized manufacturers with less than 5 employees. We implemented a web based browser to operate with only a browser and applied the UI for convenience of the field worker. The proposed system is applied to less than 5 automobile parts manufacturers and the system effectiveness is confirmed. The system can be economically applied to more small enterprises with only a few modifications according to the products of each company.

  • Shopping malls have been developed to increase sales revenue and attract visitors. This study focused on the sense of the outdoor characteristics of these shopping malls by comparing open and enclosed types of shopping malls in common spaces in LA and Korea through case study analyses. This research through case studies will form the foundation of comfortable shopping mall space design. The results are the follows. 1. Enclosed shopping malls tend to provide large indoor space to create a sense of outdoors. 2. The common space of enclosed shopping malls is developed through space expansion with horizontal and vertical connections that appear in different combinations depending on the space constraints and contexts. 3. The architectural planning of enclosed shopping malls are largely dependent on the concept of everyday life portrayed in the identity of each space, which usually involve the inclusion of sizable atriums to host indoor sports or special performances.

Relationships between Financial Characteristics and Earnings Management in Domestic Construction Waste Disposal Companies - Focusing on the moderating effects of intermediate-level waste treatment services (국내 건설폐기물 기업의 재무적 특성과 이익조정 간의 관계 - 중간처분업 특성의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The characteristics of intermediate-level waste treatment services are likely to have a negative effect because they act as a factor in promoting incentives of earnings management in the relationship between financial characteristics and earnings management in companies which are possible for earnings management. The researchers conducting this study attempted to empirically verify relationships between financial characteristics and earnings management against domestic construction waste disposal companies in consideration of the characteristics of intermediate-level waste disposal businesses, and the results are as follows. As construction waste disposal businesses grew larger, and the trade receivables collection period lengthened, the intention to increase profits via real activities strengthened. As the ability to generate cash via sales activities weakened, and the difference between the EBITDA margin and the operating margin was lower than the difference in industrial average ratio, discretionary accruals and earnings management via real activities were greater. In particular, there were differences in the variables of intermediate treatment business characteristics which reveal moderating effects by financial characteristics. This study is meaningful in that the scope of relationships between financial characteristics and earnings management in accounting is expanded to cover the construction waste disposal industry.

미국달러 선물시장과 미국달러 옵션시장 활성화 방안에 관한 고찰

  • 외환시장의 효율성을 증대시키고, 기업이나 금융기관들의 원/달러환율 변동위험관리가 보다 원활하게 이루어질 수 있도록 하며, 원/달러 환율과 연계된 다양한 투자전략 구사가 보다 용이하게 이루어질 수 있도록 하기 위하여 미국달러 선물시장과 미국달러 옵션시장에서의 유동성 확대 및 시장 활성화가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 미국달러 선물시장과 미국달러 옵션시장의 유동성을 제고시키고 시장을 활성화 시키기 위한 방안들을 제시하였다. 미국달러선물의 만기시 최종결제와 미국달러옵션 만기시 옵션매입자가 옵션을 행사할 때 권리행사에 따른 결제는 실물인수도 방식으로 결제되며, 이러한 실물인수도 방식의 결제는 현물환 포지션을 취하여야 하는 불편함과 현물환 거래와 관련된 거래비용 등으로 인하여 투자자들의 시장 참여를 제약하는 주요 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 미국달러선물과 미국달러옵션의 만기시 결제방식을 현금결제 방식으로 바꾸게 되면 헤지거래자 등 투자자들의 참여가 확대되어 시장 유동성이 증대되고 시장이 활성화될 것이며, 차익거래자들도 적극적으로 참여하게 되어 시장의 효율성이 향상될 것이다. 그리고 미국달러선물과 미국달러옵션을 이용한 투자기법 및 투자전략에 대한 투자자들의 이해 수준을 높이고 환율변동위험 관리의 중요성에 대한 기업들의 인식을 제고시키기 위한 적극적인 노력이 요구되며, 중장기적으로 선물회사들의 지점망 확충과 선물거래소 회원사 확대 방안도 모색되어야 할 것이다. 미국달러 옵션은 거래가 매우 부진한 상태이므로 미국달러 옵션시장에서 유동성이 어느 정도 확보될 때까지는 선물회사들의 시장조성 기능 강화가 요구된다.주었다. 둘째, 주가 수익률을 결정하는 유의성있는 요인들은 당기순이익의 증감, 당해연도의 당기순이익의 분포, 자산증가율, 매매 유동성, 매출액 변동, 거래량 추세, 기업크기(시가총액), 과거 1개월간의 주가수익률, 자기자본증가율등으로 나타났다.이 있을 것으로 여겨진다.다중회귀분석에서 각각 일관되게 관찰할 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 결과는 IMF 이후에도 여전히 유지되는 것으로 나타났다.과와는 별개의 PER효과가 여전히 존재하며, 다만 이 PER 효과는 전통적 의미의 일반적으로 낮은 PER종목이 초과수익률을 내는 것이 아니라, 기업규모가 크더라도 그 기업의 개별특성을 고려했을 때 이와 비교해 상대적으로 PER가 낮은 종목에 투자하면 초과수익을 낼 수 있음을 의미한다. 발견하였다.적 일정하게 하는 소비행동을 목표로 삼고 소비와 투자에 대한 의사결정을 내리고 있음이 실증분석을 통하여 밝혀졌다. 투자자들은 무위험 자산과 위험성 자산을 동시에 고려하여 포트폴리오를 구성하는 투자활동을 행동에 옮기고 있다.서, Loser포트폴리오를 매수보유하는 반전거래전략이 Winner포트폴리오를 매수보유하는 계속거래전략보다 적합한 전략임을 알 수 있었다. 다섯째, Loser포트폴리오와 Winner포트폴리오를 각각 투자대상종목으로써 매수보유한 반전거래전략과 계속거래 전략에 대한 유용성을 비교검증한 Loser포트폴리오와 Winner포트폴리오 각각의 1개월 평균초과수익률에 의하면, 반전거래전략의 Loser포트폴리오가 계속거래전략의 Winner포트폴리오보다 약 5배정도의 높은 1개월 평균초과수익률을 실현하였고, 반전거래전략의 유용성을

  • Recently, as the number of shopping facilities has increased, such as complex shopping malls, warehouse type superstores, large fashion outlets, and so on, the conflicts over the opening of large stores between neighboring municipalities are increasing. However, current regulations on the opening of large-scale stores, such as the impact analysis on commercial area, do not adequately reflect the characteristics of new type shopping facilities. In this study, we tried to suggest a rational policy alternative with more realistic suitability by analyzing the characteristics of 'regional shopping facilities' beyond the scope of the municipalities, and analyzing the impact on the regional merchants. The main results of the study are summarized as follows. First, unlike previous researches, which are limited to small business sector, this study presents the results of comprehensively comparing and analyzing the impact on the detailed sectors of the whole distribution market, including the large distribution sector and online distribution sector. Second, in this study, we calculated the total (average) amount of market penetration rate of existing shopping facilities by the entire regional shopping facilities in the Seoul metropolitan area, and this is considered to be of great value in relation to the recognition of problems at the whole level of the metropolitan area and the search for alternative solutions.

An Effect of the Selection of Excellent Design Product on the Business Performance in the Start-up: Focusing on 2013, 2014 and 2015 Design Awarded Companies (우수디자인제품 선정이 창업기업 경영성과에 미치는 영향: 2013년, 2014년, 2015년 우수디자인제품 선정기업들 중심으로)

  • This study was intended to analyze the effects of the selection of excellent design product by the KIDP(Korea Institute of Design Promotion) on the business performance of the company focused on the start-up with relatively low competitiveness. According to the statistics of KIDP in 2013, a design accounted for 27.53% of the factors affecting the sales of products and a design was the most important factor among the factors affecting the sales of products for the small sized company in terms of the scale of company. In addition, looking at the trend by industry in the data collected for this study, the technology-based industry showed a relatively higher growth rate than the retail industry and other industries. In this study, the author surveyed 186 companies of the companies that recognized the importance of design in difficult management conditions and received excellent design product certificate from KIDP(2013, 2014 and 2015) and empirically verified whether there was any difference in business performance between the start-ups with a business history of less than 7 years and the ongoing firms with a business history of more than 7 years. To evaluate the value of design, we used analytical method of measuring related values by comparison between groups. In addition, we also analyzed the difference in business performance(sales) between manufacturing companies, where the role of design was relatively large, and non-manufacturing companies among companies that received the excellent design product certificate. We have established a study hypothesis that the selection of excellent design product by the KIDP would have more positive effect on the business performance(sales) of the start-up compared to the ongoing firm, and conducted an empirical analysis by comparing both the year before and the year after the selected year. As a result, we found that the selection of excellent design product by the KIDP has a positive effect on the business performance of the start-up, and the selection of excellent design product has a significant effect on the difference in business performance between manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies. This study was conducted in the hope that the government actively supports the design-related policies so that the selection of excellent design product become an important indicator of the business performance of the start-up, and thus the design management will be a way to enhance the competitiveness of the start-up.

  • It's vital to establish the competitive comparative advantage as the competitions among global logistics companies have become fierce. The global companies, hence, must innovate their Port Hinterland to hub and spoke in a view of SCM. The Port Hinterland significantly affects its local economy and value added. The task of the Port Hinterland nowadays is to improve its efficiencies by utilizing logistics operations and services. The Korean government has planned to reduce the scale of the Port. The CCR and BCC matrices show that there are nine efficient companies: two companies in Gwangyang Hinterland and five companies in Busan Hinterland, though Masan FTZ was only ranked on the 24th, on the rank of world FTZ. This paper aims at finding the cargo volume necessary for achieving the maximum efficiency. This research proposes an appropriate strategy to keep a certain amount of cargo volume stable and presents the Port Hinterland differentiation strategies of Gwangyang and Busan.

The developed countries make efforts to keep the superiority of military industry with an high technology and huge capital. One of the efforts is the defence industry exhibitions for the management performance regarded as the marketing strategic principal method. The result of the opening exhibitions has been studied by research papers and treatises. A exhibitions' goal is different from an it's characteristic, type, industry, participator, institution and participating nation. An enterprise's management performance is runs as follows. First, an exhibitions participation activation has an effect re-participation following the satisfaction. Second, an exhibitions participation activation contributes to be on sale promotion, The result of the exhibitions participation is classified with sale performance and non-sale performance. The third, an exhibitions participation activation contributes to the effective company management. The huge fund advertisement is a financial burden, but a exhibitions takes effect one-fifth economical retrenchment. Accordingly, this study researched the exhibition participation choice properties, an exhibitions participation activation properties and investigated the Korea defence industry's income statement, balance sheet, growth ratios, profitability ratios, productivity ratios, stability ratios which were substitute for the enterprise's management performance through the exhibitions participation costs and the number of times.

The Effect of Information Security Breach and Security Investment Announcement on the Market Value of Korean Firms (정보보안 사고와 사고방지 관련 투자가 기업가치에 미치는 영향)

  • With the fast development of the Internet and the increasing dependence on information infrastructures, companies are faced with various information security threats such as information leakages, modifications, and information breaches. South Korea is one of the leading countries in the Internet usage, but is ranked relatively low when it comes to information security. In fact, many Korean firms have suffered financial losses and damaged corporate images from the information security breaches. However, because of the difficulties in quantifying the costs of the information security breaches, Korean companies tend to delay their investment decisions on information security. The purpose of this study is to measure the cost of information security breach and the economic value of security investment using the event study methodology. Our results show that the announcement of an information security breach negatively influenced the market value of the corresponding company. The effect was statistically significant at the significance level of p=0.05. The breached companies lose, on average, 0.86% of their market values on the day of the announcement - an average loss in market capitalization of $55 million. On the other hand, the investment on information security had no effect on the stock price or the market value of the firm.
